Day 10: High Contrast

I wasn't sure about this when I shot it.

A good friend gave me a mug, with a pewter emblem on it, and when I got it, I thought immediately that the emblem would make a great macro. The trick was to make it look more than just a photo of the emblem. So, taking a trick from my friend yumikid, I over exposed the shot, under macro, and with my SB-600 off to the side. In post processing, I desaturated (yumikid favors sepia at this point), and pushed the contrast way, way up.

I think it came out well. Much better than a simple snapshot of the mug, documentary style.

Graficas GeForce 9 de Nvidia en Febrero

Según hemos podido leer en bit-tech, Nvidia podría lanzar sus nuevas tarjetas gráficas de la serie GeForce 9 para febrero, aunque la fuente de la información haya sido un anónimo de la propia marca.

Aún no se conocen las especificaciones del producto, pero si se sabe que el chip se llamará D9E y utilizará tecnología de 65mm, como la familia de las actuales GeForce 8800 GT. Al parecer soportarán el API de DirectX 10.1 y el modelo de Shader 4.1.

La serie D9E está destinada a entusiastas y jugones, aquellos que quieran algo más económico tendrán que esperar a los chips D9P, los cuales no saldrán hasta el próximo Junio, pero que ya se sabe llevarán tecnología de 55mm.

Esto de momento podría ser un simple rumor, en cuanto sepamos algo más os lo haremos saber.
