American Idol 2007 runner-up, David Archuleta, will visit Good Day Utah on Monday, July 14th. Watch his appearance on Fox 13 or on the MyFoxUtah Live Streaming page.

Thousands of young girls let loose earsplitting shrieks. Little boys tussled with teens for space on the arena floor. Moms and dads waved their arms in the air. Security guards readied themselves in case things got ugly.

And all that was for the person inside the Pop-Tart outfit and his accompanying band of mascots, who were firing T-shirts out of air guns prior to the start of the show.

David Cook and David Archuleta were the guests today. After an interview that featured your typically boring questions (the gals looked at Archie like he had three heads when he mentioned Eva Cassidy), Archie performed a lovely version of “Stand by Me”. The Sean Kingston “Beautiful Girls” line was kept in the song. After the break, David Cook, performed an acoustic “Time of My Life.” He seemed a bit worn out, but I love the acoustic version of this song, nevertheless. Go Magic Rainbows!

Disney/Pixar's 'WALL-E' lands in theaters on this planet June 27, and highly recognizable Earthlings from Hollywood and beyond -- from Brad Garrett and Sigourney Weaver to "American Idol" runner-up David Archuleta and "Dancing with the Stars" champ Kristi Yamaguchi -- came out to experience the film, which premiered under the stars Saturday night at The Greek Theatre in L.A.'s Griffith Park.

David Archuleta is the Josie Grossie of "American Idol." What I mean is that the 17-year-old has never been kissed. Both "Archie" and David Cook were asked the same 17 questions for Seventeen Magazine and their answers only prove how different they are.

The 17-year-old singer will be hitting the American Idols Live! Tour this summer and his dad Jeff will be on the tour bus with his son and the other top five guys! David’s dad was banned from going backstage during the final weeks of American Idol amidst some controversy. Fellow American Idol Carly Smithson recently asked Michael Johns if anyone on the guy’s bus snores and he responded to David, “Only your dad!”.

The American Idol Live! Tour 2008 kicks off on July 1 in Glendale, Ariz., hometown of AI alum Brooke White.

To have david answer your question all you need to do is add him on your myspace and send him a cooment titled VIDEO QUESTION.

I was reading it today and found a ton of different pictures of the contestants.  There were a few new posts saying how David Archuleta  signed a a record deal even though he only got 2nd place.  It also talks about previous winners and who everyone liked the most.

He said that he will be posting a video blog soon answering your questions.

But a legal conflict has forced the cancellation of the event.

"I was sitting there with Jeff [Archuleta] and they were saying there's no way this is going to happen. It got a little heated," said Brett Hales, a spokesman for the Archuleta family.

Simon Cowell wasn't the only person blown away by David Archuleta's "knockout" three-song performance on American Idol's May 20 showdown.  So was David Cook, who won the title (by 12 millions votes!) but concedes that Archuleta bested him during the duo's final performance show.  "Archie did a great job," Cook, 25, says of his 17-year-old rival.  "He deserved to win.  He came out and did three amazing songs."

On Friday, June 6, a homecoming for David Archuleta will be held at the E Center in West Valley City, Utah. The event starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $1 and all proceeds will go to charity. Tickets are expected to be available through Ticketmaster beginning on Wednesday.

David will share his experiences, take questions and sing songs for the audience. This is David's way of showing his appreciation for the people of Utah and the support he received while competing on FOX's "American Idol."

David Archuleta HAS signed to JIVE Records and hopes to release his first single during this summer's AI Tour (song has yet to be decided).

David is waiting until he has written, or selected, the right songs for his first CD and plans for an October - November release.
