Although it's just a group of people walking to a 7-11 to get some snacks (and drinks), the artistic aspect of it is mind-blowing. It's just a couple minutes long and definitely worth a view.

how very nice it was to explore Austin today on foot. the sun was very edward hopperesque and i saw tons of strange and beautiful things and felt peaceful and quiet and not i think i am going to make some metal because well why not. also i aquired a rather horrid hotel keyboard and brad and i got these insanely scary masks which make you look like a mannequin and i think we are going to do a keyboard rock experiment. stay tuned if you are bored. also hello to anyone in ireland and what a jewel that country is. lovely lovely day. still, i wish i were playing tonight. i could every night.

also amanda jones super fan thank you for the bootlegs - Dio especially, the boys got me your gift. much gratitude and kindness back- i am reclusive but i am very happy to have received some live recordings. my best to you. i dunno what rumors or whatever you mentioned at FUZZY because I don’t keep up really- the internet for me is a rather one way street- i put things ON it but i don’t really entrain myself that much with anything on it. I just walk and then you know, drop whatever i came up with on here. i’m sure people say all sorts of things. i dunno. it’s great being in the cardinals and i am very happy and feel just wonderful and goofy actually.

there are so many things to like and i especially am thankful to have fallen into grace so to speak with newfound friends and and even especially deepening time with my band fam.

I'm bringing my camera to document the experience. On my way I will be hitting up the world's largest Mcdonald's, North America's largest ferris wheel, and of course, 6th street. The Texas State Fair is going on in Dallas and I'm hoping to make it there on Friday then travel to Austin Friday night to visit one of America's most famous streets.  Then on Saturday, I will be visiting Royal-Memorial Stadium for a 7 o'clock college football game that suddenly takes on monumental status for Mizzou's hopes.  I'll be posting at the end of the weekend I hope.

It was graced by Mundi, whose mellifluous (I always wanted to use that word) cello bowings mixed with Xmas lights and lots of wine. I love Austin. And Mundi's music. They graciously sold me a CD for a reasonable $12. Music to lull you to sleep and refresh the soul, really.

I also met author Fara Walker and got a polka dot sticker publicizing her children's book Jake the Dot. It's a coloring book revolving around discrimination and peer pressure.

Judaism, Xmas lights, live acoustic music and anti-racism coloring books all in the same place.

Can I say it again? I love Austin.

Today was a full day filled with lots of fun activities.  We first started out at the Austin Zoo.  It was a small zoo with lots of big cats.  We had read that it wasn't that big of a zoo and so we weren't disappointed when we arrived.  It just seemed like an old, quiet zoo - which was fine with us!  Afterwards we headed downtown and went to Chuy's (different from Phoenix Chuy's) for some takeout .  Then took it down to Zilker Park for a spontaneous picnic and walk around the hike and bike trail.

Zilker Park is awesome! The wildlife has tons of squirrels, birds, swans, ducks, fish. It also has giant trees and lots of shade and interesting people. While we were driving away we saw an old guy on his bike wearing a thong. That's it. A thong. *shudder*

Amanecí peor, y aún después de la terapia sentía esa punzada molesta en la espalda baja. A diferencia del jueves, hoy no me pudo “tronar” y terminó recetándome una desinflamatorio más potente que el Volatren. Según él, para el lunes cualquier inflamación va a ceder y podrá analizar mejor que es lo que me está produciendo el dolor. Mientras son peras o manzanas, hoy tampoco entrené nada, por lo que haciéndome tripas el corazón, y con toda la flojera del mundo, me prometo a mi mismo que ahora, sin falta, el lunes me meto a la alberca.

Odio nadar. Y odio la natación por una simple pero poderosa razón: soy malísimo. No tengo remedio. En mis buenos tiempos lograba sacar los 100 mts. en 1´40´´, pero los 1,500 en aguas abiertas nunca los pude nadar abajo de 29 minutos. Hubo una época en que quise mejorar y me chutaba 3 o 4 sesiones semanales de más de 4000 metros, hasta que me di cuenta que con ese entrenamiento lo único que conseguía, además del cansancio y el hartazgo, era repetir más veces mis errores. Uakala. El caso es que puedo nadar, y más me vale aprovechar este tiempo que no me puedo subir a la bici ni correr para empezar a acumular kilómetros, que bastante falta me van a hacer para Cozumel.

Hoy los Triregios tenemos un sábado bastante social. A mediodía Carlos, Pepe, Luis Fernando y un servidor, junto con sus respectivas parejas, asistiremos al Festival de la paella que se organiza en el Deportivo San Agustín, y en la noche nos vamos a festejar el cumpleaños de Arturo, que cumplió 43 el jueves - chin, se me pasó y no lo felicité - así que espero que aguantemos.  Mañana les cuento y les muestro Fotos.

Por cierto, tengo ya que abrir la página “acerca de” para que nos vayan conociendo. Prometo que la semana que entra ya estará lista. Hoy voy a tratar de recordar cuando iniciamos como equipo y sobre todo, quienes lo integran, pues yo soy el más desconectado y sé que se han unido, desde la Vuelta Ciclista Nuevo León, que por cierto, ganó - again- Carlos Sandoval, muchos triatletas al grupo..

Ah, y aprovechando el Boleto. La semana pasada Carlos ganó su categoría en el medio iroman de Austin y Pepe Castillo se aventó un tiempazo de 4 horas 50´. Felicidades. Y Arturo Williams ganó el 10 K del Deportivo San Agustín, aprovechando que los “favoritos” no participarían en esta ocasión. Arturo de lo aventó en unos cuantos segundos menos de 40 minutos, lo que a su edad es la verdad, bastante meritorio.

A ver como llegan de presumidos hoy. Sí llegan anchos, horas les van a faltar para que nos narren, con lujo de detalles - a veces cuentan la competencia metro a metro -como les fue, como se sintieron, como se las pelaron todos, a quien le ganaron, y en general, todas las anécdotas que ocurren durante una competencia, cuanti más si hay viaje incluido, como lo fue en esta ocasión, que hasta shoping hubo, aprovechando lo barato del dólar.

This is another one of those times that you have driven by a restaurant on many occasions and continually say we should try that restaurant and for some reason never stop by.  This all changed two weeks ago when we were looking for a change from our normal restaurants and we decided on the Alligator Grill.

When we arrived we were greeted at the door and asked if we preferred to eat inside or on the patio.  The weather was great and the patio is far enough from the noise of heavy traffic on Lamar, so the patio was the perfect choice.  The Alligator Grill is a New Orleans style restaurant with a kiss of Cajun.  My wife and I both ordered the Tequila Lime Shrimp.  The dish had the perfect balance of spices giving it a mouthwatering taste.  I hate to admit that I've had to go back yet again to get the Tequila Lime Shrimp.  Bring along a hearty appetite and enjoy the food.

I would say the Alligator Grill is a moderately priced restaurant with the 2 entrees, 2 beers and tip coming to $45.00.  It's a great place to relax after a hard day at work.

On Monday I took the Big kids to speech. Cheya decided it was a good idea to throw a temper tantrum because I wouldn't let her take her backpack into speech with her. While I Was trying to get her off the ground Ry ran from me, he tripped in the parking lot over his shoes, he hit his knees then his hands then his head as if he was gonna summersault, and got a huge bruise on his head, poor bubba. He seemed fine after the initial screaming he was doing. I sat in on his speech sessiona nd he did fantastic!

Jennie, Keith and the kids came UP! Which is a good thing since Cheya and Ry weren't ready to say bye to Caleb and Molly when we came back from Corpus! Kids I tell you. I hope they had a good visit though, I know the kids had a blast. And it was fun to hang out with Jennie and Keith again as always when we get together money was spent! LOL it happens. :)

I don't remember much of there stay to be honest because I am on a script making me tired I can't really think straight. But ... I am now nanysitting two new kids a few hours a week. Adam is 3 and RJ is 16 months, they are both the most well behaved kids anyone person could ever meet. They are so good and OMG! I envy her they are quiet!

I got bit by some bug when I took RJ out to the car for his mom on Wednesday and it made my ankle swell up, nasty, I called the doctor and he called a script in for me today. It hurts to walk on it, some think I am beign a sissy but it looks nasty and it hurts so frigging bad. (sigh).

Took Ry to the ER on Wednesday night, wasn't a useless trip I guess he wasn't acting himself so I wanted to make sure it didn't have anythign to do with the bump on his head. I was talked about behind my back by the nurses cause I waited so long to take them in, they had the nerve to call me a bad mother and sound as if they were accusing me of abuse. Anyways, they did a CT scan which showed nothing was related to the bump on his head, however it showed he has a horrid sinus infection. I feel so bad for him. They prescribed him a RX and sent us on our way. Today he turned up having another ear infection it looks like, to late for a DR visit so I am using the drops from the last time, will take him in on Monday if it gets worse. I feel so bad for him. He was screaming for many hours tonight holding his ear saying mommy mommy it hurts. My poor Bubba.

Cheya was throwing up today she got a breathing treatment earlier, her dang RAD I am so tired of that, I wonder if it is really something else adn not that. I am so sick of her always throwing up. Austin to has been throwing up today, not sure why, but he ate so good today that its obvious something bad was bound to happen, its so unfair I hate it.

Yesturday I got a call from Texas Children's saying they no longer accept Tin's insurence, I am extremely ticked about this, so I had to go about changing all three of the kids insurence to one they do take, on top of that the new plan won't be effective until 15-45 days later and top of that we still don't know if we are able to keep the apps for the 16th or if we will be forced to go somewhere else or if we can jess rescedule them. I don't even know what to think about this, its like the world is out to get me. The first genetics app had to be resceduled and now the 2nd one I am told we can't attend (sigh) This is depressing, still waiting to find out if the Pedui can't get authorization for them for the 15th or not.

Austin also had his 1 year eval with ECI yesturday. He is so dang smart he tested out of it. They only thing keeping him in it is his feeding issues. So he will continue to have his nutritionist and his OT. Nutritionist is 2 times a month and OT is bumped to 4 times a month. They are also looking into funding him for daycare 2 times a week to see if we can help with his social interaction and his feeding habbits to see if being in a structured place will help cause he will watch other children eat etc.

Jelly came home from work today and saud I wanna go to walmart with you and buy you a two dollar present. I was like WTF! anyways he said I would love it. I agreed since Glena was over and we headed off to walmart. He then the whole car ride was telling me how much I would love this present and I was jess thinking what would I love that was 2 dollars. I am so proud of him for not spilling the beans cause he usually does spill the beans when it comes to a surprise. We got to walmart and he drags me to the notebook isle and tells me he wants to buy a black notebook with purple pages and my heart melted and I wanted to cry.

When I first met him on the drive back to where he was stationed in the Navy we wrote back and forth in the backseat of the X's van in a black notebook with purple pages, was one of those gel notebooks all the rage when I was in highschool. Anyways, wow, this has to be one of the most romantic unexpected thing he has ever done for me and it makes me want to cry now still. He even said now we jess have to set aside special time so we can write in it. I am awestricken and seriously looking forward to it, I don't even know what to say but it makes me love him so much more.! So sweet so romantic so unpredictible!
