Es tentador ser una reina del drama y poner largas peroratas culpanto el trabajo y sus wales por arruinarme Wikipedia, pero ese sería incorrecto. Además, alguien correctamente me señalaría esto.

La verdad es que wikipedia es una droga que quita el tiempo. Y eso está bien, si te divierte y/o puedes engañarte a ti mismo con el Jimbocuento de hacer el mundo un lugar mejor. Pero dejó de ser divertido para mi hace rato, y mi único consuelo es que quizás realmente estaba haciendo el mundo un logar mejor ayudando a arreglar, o al menos reducir el inaceptable daño colateral de Wikipedia. Pero ya no puedo engañarme a mi mismo. Así que ¿me devuelven mi vida, por favor?

Y no estoy siendo cínico sobre Wikipedia. Es una idea brillante u quien quiera que la haya tenido, merece todo el crédito. Alberga excelentes artículos de referencia sobre todo desde historia y medicina hasta (sí) Pokemon. Claro, nunca será 100% confiable, pero ¿y qué?

Respeto al fundador. Y Respeto a los primeros pioneros que meditaron sobre los detalles y desarrollaron este excelente sistema - pensamiento creativo flexible. Sin embargo fallaron en proveer a Wikipedia con un sistema de toma de decisiones que permita el "cambio constitucional" cuando surgieran nuevos problemas. Así que el pensamiento creativo flexible ya no está presente. Y dejaron un veto con cualquier minoría vocal que quiera oponerse a todo.

Creo firmemente que la mayoría de la gente que ha estudiado el tema seriamente, reconoce al menos aspectos del "problema de las BPV" (n.t. Biografías de Personas Vivas). Pero Wikipedia no está regido por los pensantes e informados, está regido por quien quiera que se aparezca. Hay un grupo pequeño de personas que les gusta jugar a la wiki como un juego de rol y simplemente niegan las consecuencias en la realidad que puedan limitar su libertad de acción. Hay un grupo mayor que es demasiado inmaduro o flojo para pensar correctamente. Y luego está el de aquellos que reconocen que "algo debe hacerse", pero se oponen perpetuamente a lo que se proponga en favor de "una idea mejor". El mecanismo es como usar un videófono para manejar las complejidades de un presupuesto federal, no funciona para temas que requieren tiempo, meditación, responsabilidad y atención. Dudo que este problema pueda ser corregido - dado que necesita un cambio estructural en la toma de decisiones, lo cual es imposible por las mismas razones.

Por supuesto, el sistema de toma de decisiones inicial tiene un DiosRey como válvula de seguridad. Sin embargo el Olimpo está ahora distante y probablemente ya sea impotente.

Estoy tentado a predecir la caída apocalíptica de Wikipedia - eso sería un gran mensaje de despedida. Pero creo que eso es improbable, avanzará tediosamente. La buena gente (como Brad, así que déjenlo), eventualmente encontrará formas de hacer cambios al sistema para hacerlo un poco mejor. Pero cambios radicales ocurrirán bajo presión externa extrema (demandas, medios o alguna tragedia) y no puedo realmente predecir cuando será, puede tomar años.

De todas formas, ya tuve suficiente. Me alejo para leer algunos libros (de esos que tienen páginas de verdad y no dicen "jaja, apestas"^{[cita requerida]} en lugares inesperados). Sin duda rondaré por un tiempo todavía, no tiene caso pretender l contrario.

Doc glasgow

Doc glasgow es un gran biblio de la wiki inglesa que acaba de partir. Personalmente le aprecio mucho, y deseo que hubiera más gente en esa wiki escribiendo o manteniendo la enciclopedia, en vez de perder el tiempo con tonterías.

Apenas ayer me di cuenta de los niveles de estupidez que ha alcanzado esa wiki cuando Humberto me pasó este link, supongo que ha de ser una GRAN idea (como todas las ideas que provienen de ahí, según algunos) que para cada línea que se escribe, haya que poner una plantilla o un icono (supongo que ayuda para no tener que leer el mensaje en sí).

Y más cuando Humberto no pudo recuperar su nombre de usuario, porque alguien hizo una edición en el 2004, totalizando 4 ediciones en 4 años, dado que las reglas no dicen que es posible. ¿qué pasó con el sentido común y el pensamiento crítico?

Me pone triste la partida de Doc, pero me preocupa que estemos tomando ese rumbo en la Wikipedia en Español.

David "Giddy as a School-Girl" Thompson and his CAREFULLY selected group now have control of the government, all excluding the Wrong Dishonorable Dennis "Narcissus" Kellman was snubbed, to no one's surprise. What a way to begin a political year. Ah... I hope to God, Allah, Jehova, what have you, I get my company off the ground before the BDS dollar gets devalued to something slightly above a buck fifty Guyanese.

b) Residents and Non-Residents will be able to hold bank accounts in US Dollars, Euros, Canadian dollars and Sterling in unrestricted amounts provided these are not funded from Barbados dollar sources. So if i were a drug lord and wanted to hide 30million Sterling for example i could send it down here and only be taxed on the interest the money earns. Don't forget the term in b) "in unrestricted amounts".

Also of note is apparently, the Barbados Investment Development Corporation (BIDC) has been vacant since last week. Though I am still researching these two matters I think it's pretty safe to say it's true.

Given the fact that the QEH as well as the BIDC are both corporations, at the changing of Government, members of these bodies have to resign. Which is unfortunate for the QEH people in particular given the fact that it has been roughly a year since it was transfered to corporation style governance. That would of course only affect Administrative not Medical Staff. Not that these people shall walk away with their long arms swinging, no no no! Rest assured they have some change to tide them over for a while.

Ah well... when wind blows dust is stirred, all that's important will come when the dust eventually settles.
