There is a website called www.bugmenot.com people from all over the internet are registering in some sites that offer to pay to visit, or to get more features, well, some of those people have been posting their accounts at bugmenot.com to share for the community. Bugmenot also has a email feature where you just type a name, and it just makes it name@bugmenot.com and you can use it to signup for stuff. Also all the emails will be deleted in 24 - 48 hours. Its a good feature to use if you are registering for something.

The first in what will be a random collection of Firefox Tips, Hacks, Tutorials, and Add-ons, all of which you'll probably find in a hundred other places on the net.

Let's start with three of my favourite plug-ins, the ones I just can't live without.

First, we have Bugmenot. This is an extension that integrates BugMeNot into Firefox. If you don't know about BugMeNot, well you should. Bascially, what BugMeNot does is it lets you bypass logging into sites that require you to login. This is useful if you're browsing The New York Times, or trying to get downloads off megaupload, for instance. Head over to http://www.bugmenot.com/ for the lowdown (also scroll down and check out the disposable email addresses).

Adblock Plus is an extension that I never thought I'd need. I mean, ads never really bugged me. They were just a mild annoyance as far as I was concerned; I never looked at them. Now, everytime I use someone else's computer I'm amazed by the number of advertisements-- of all shapes and sizes, and how intrusive and annoying they are.

Ever found yourself in need of online storage. For me, at least, G Space has changed file hosting for ever. G Space provides an interface for you to upload any file onto the free space in you gmail account.

Plus: A minor hack for people who are obsessive about the mintuae of their browser experience: http://digitizor.wordpress.com/2008/06/22/how-to-set-single-click-to-select-url-in-address-bar-in-linux-versions-of-firefox/

Often while surfing the web for some particular content, we land up at websites which require us to register in order to view the requested content. This post will help you get a handle to an interesting service which helps you get rid of this problem.

BugMeNot.com was created as a mechanism to quickly bypass the login of web sites that require compulsory registration and/or the collection of personal/demographic information (such as the New York Times). BugMeNot.com has a repository of login information for 194153 websites.

In order to access webcontent without registering with the website follow the steps below

1.) Point the URL of your browser to www.bugmenot.com

2.) In the Input box, enter the name of the URL for which you wish to get the login information.

3.) Press the Get Logins button to get the list of Login and Password information for the website.

4.) Make a note of a username and password combination with high success percentage score and use it to log on to the website in question. The chances of your being able to login to the website shall be pretty high this ways.

Happy Surfing!!!

Are you someone like me, who spends time on the internet quantitatively and qualitatively, rather than logging in and out of social networking sites or refreshing you orkut homepage, waiting for chatting with some old friend of yours who may or may not come online? Then you should have faced this problem, when you try to access some quality article, in an forum, that came up on the google search pages. The forum, permits only members to access the article you wanted to read, and you are not a member. You need the article for some quick reference, but this forum, asks you to go through a long registration process before you can lay hands on that article. All this with the uncertainty that you may or may not be benefited out of the article. That's when this simple website helps me a lot!

It provides login user name and password for several websites that make you register for access. And if you find a website for which you cannot find sample user name and password and bug me not, then please take the pain of registering a dummy account, without real login details so that other users can use it. It is not just for forums, but also for websites. I am not interested in making this post long, so know more about the site, using the link.

Have you ever been sent a newspaper article by email or just googled for some article but you cant read the comments until you get registered in their website? Well, not to worry.. if your purpose is just to read it and get out of there not wasting your precious time (ahem.. lol) use bugmenot.. Enter the URL of the site and it will serve you with a username and a password which is already there. So you don't have to fill out entire registration forms with fake details which most of you might have been doing.. ;)

If you want to use bugmenot, you will have to use a plugin for your browser or just visit this page to get login information.

So here are the download links. Download the appropriate one for your browser.

Firefox: http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6349

Opera: http://widgets.opera.com/widget/4172/

Opera is pretty cool here, because they have a widget for bugmenot. So it will appear like a different application instead of menus and stuff..

While reading the Wikipedia article on the website www.BugMeNot.com, I came across a tongue-in-cheek "registration form" that they created to mock the pesky forms on other sites. If you stick around TWB for a while, you'll find that I appreciate subtle satire and sarcasm, as well as just general mockery. I suppose this falls more in the latter category... With that said, perhaps I should only allow WordPress members to read my exclusive blog...

Are you sick of registering at websites every time you want to read an article you found via Google News? Isn't this just unbelievably TIRESOME?

Even more tiresome is the fact that all these sites force you to register for two main reasons: 1.) So they can acquire information about your age, location, income bracket, etc., and pass this on to their number crunchers, the demographic data from which are used to 2.) Place ads and pitch "special offers."

Here's a solution - something to make your life just a little easier. Go to this site. Bookmark it. And put an end to all those registrations:

http://www.bugmenot.com

Better yet, there's a bugmenot Firefox Plugin! I just installed it, and tested it. It worked for me. I make no claims about the plugin's functionality beyond this.

A great help when building Regular Expressions is KDE's kregexpeditor, part of kdeutils. You can visually compose and analyse your regexes and match them against desired text.
And well, while this regex might seem like black magic at first (and second ;) sight, and it can be kind of mind boggling oftentimes, it's really worth learning it! The syntax is being used in so many places (tools, programming languages) and will come very handy for parsing and substituting texts.

ChangeLog

[2008-03-30: Fix https action. BugMeNot not working in Windows.]

Ever wanted to get into a site, but couldn't because you didn't want to register, knowing you won't be back very often? Now you can. I found this site using StumbleUpon and its been quite useful!

BugMeNot.com will allow you to bypass the registration process and allow you to log into just about anything. Users like yourself can give BugMeNot login names that were registered just for a normally one-time use. People submit these logins with the appropriate website so other people can use them as well. BugMeNot.com also has a vote system to see if the login works or not.

I didn't create the site, I only Stumbled it. But do enjoy its uses! If you have any questions, just comment or contact me.

Bugmenot.com is a free service that collects login information, specifically usernames and passwords, admitted by online users for forums and other communities requesting for a registration. This free services is designed to stop the bugging of registering to a forum or a site when you only need to look up a thing or two. It provides you a username and password from other users, so you don't have to waste your time registering.

Bugmenot's Instructions on how to use their site:

STEP 1: Make a note of the website address you are trying to access. For example:
Or even just: www.nytimes.com

STEP 2: Visit http://bugmenot.com

BugMeNot.com was created as a mechanism to quickly bypass the login of web sites that require compulsory registration and/or the collection of personal/demographic information (such as the New York Times).

So why should you use BugMeNot.com

Why not just register?

It's a breach of privacy.

Sites don't have a great track record with the whole spam thing.

It's contrary to the fundamental spirit of the net. Just ask Google.

It's pointless due to the significant percentage of users who enter fake demographic details anyway.

It's a waste of time.

It's annoying as hell.

Podéis entrar a Bugmenot aquí!!

Ahora los he eliminado.
