<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>In der gerüchteschwangeren Atmosphäre des Internets wollen die Spekulationen nicht abreißen, dass die Nissan-Tochtermarke Infiniti ein eigenes Modell auf Basis des GT-R herausbringen wird</strong>. Nissan-Boss Carlos Ghosn will davon aber nichts wissen (Verständlich. Immerhin gibt es auch so schon genügend angekündigte Sportwagen im Konzern).</p>
<p>Nichtsdestotrotz ist jetzt ein gerendertes Bild im Netz aufgetaucht, das von einem talentierten Kopf des japanischen <a href="http://www.gtr-world.net/news/medium/20080726-cartop.html" target="_blank">Top Car Magazine</a> stammt. <strong>So könnte also eine übersportliche Infiniti-Limousine aussehen, die mit "Godzilla" eng verwandt ist</strong>. Vor allem in den USA könnte eine vier-türige Version einige Käufer anziehen.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt;text-align:justify;line-height:normal;direction:rtl;unicode-bidi:embed;" dir="rtl"><span style="font-family:&#34;" lang="AR-SA">دراواخر دهه 1990 کمپانی نیسان ژاپن به پایان عمر خودش نزدیک شده بود. سهامداران این شرکت اقدام به فروش سهام خود کرده بودند و هر یک قصد فرار از این وضعیت بحرانی و خطرناک را داشتند. در همین زمان شرکت «رنو» با خرید </span><span style="font-family:&#34;" dir="ltr">37 </span><span style="font-family:&#34;" lang="AR-SA">درصد از سهام این کمپانی به نجات آن برخاسته بود. در مارس 1999 کمپانی فرانسوی «رنو» رسما این میزان سهام را خریداری کرد و اعلام کرد که قصد دارد جلوی ورشکستگی کامل نیسان را بگیرد. مدیران این کمپانی بسیار آسوده و با زبانی بسیار ساده سخن از رهایی نیسان از خطر سقوط می‏‎دادند و با اعتماد به نفسی بالا اعلام می</span><span style="font-family:&#34;" lang="FA">‎</span><span style="font-family:&#34;" lang="AR-SA">کردند که کمپانی آنها توان انجام این عملیات نجات را دارد. البته آنها حق داشتند، چرا که از نیروی متخصصی بهره می</span><span style="font-family:&#34;" lang="FA">‎</span><span style="font-family:&#34;" lang="AR-SA">جستند که همواره در لحظات بحرانی، نجات بخش خواهد بود و در کارنامه خود پیروزی</span><span style="font-family:&#34;" lang="FA">‎های</span><span style="font-family:&#34;" lang="AR-SA"> ارزنده</span><span style="font-family:&#34;" lang="FA">‎</span><span style="font-family:&#34;" lang="AR-SA">ای را ثبت نموده است</span><span style="font-family:&#34;" dir="ltr">. </span></p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Renault a présenté, lors du dernier Grand-Prix de Monaco et au Festival de Cannes, la Laguna Coupé, dont la commercialisation est prévue peu de temps après le Mondial de l'Auto qui a lieu en septembre à Paris.</p>
<p>Les constructeurs automobiles font tous ça, ils créent des mini-sites entièrement dédiés à leurs nouveaux véhicules. Pour ce modèle emblématique du renouveau de la marque, Renault s'est associé au géant Microsoft. Ce partenariat s'inscrit dans l'utilisation de la technologie Silverlight V2, et sa fonctionnalité "Deep Zoom".</p>
<p>En quelques mots, l'internaute se retrouve face à un mur de photos en miniature et peut très facilement effectuer des zooms profonds sur les photos de son choix. Ainsi, il peut regarder en détail chaque élément de la voiture. Afin de limiter le poids de l'application, certaines photos sont de meilleure qualité que d'autres : il est certains que l'internaute sera sans doute plus intéressé à zoomer sur le tableau de bord du véhicule plutôt que sur les chaussures de Carlos Ghosn...</p>
<p>Je suis impressionné par la haute définition des photos et la rapidité à laquelle l'image devient nette. Je regrette néanmoins d'avoir été contraint d'installer un plugin assez lourd pour visionner, comme il se doit de l'être, ce site.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Carlos Ghosn, chairman of Renault is claiming that the marque are sticking with F1 for the considerable future despite the teams slump in form over the past few seasons.</p>
<p>The manufacturer were predominant back in classic F1 times, before dropping back in F1 to just production of engines, creating the engines which took Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve to their titles in 1996/7 with Williams.  They bought out the old Benetton team in 2002, and brought the famous yellow back to F1, but only alongside the sea blue of Mild Seven the top sponsor showing how much F1 had changed.  In 2005/6 they won all of the titles, but in 2007 slumped and things arent looking much better now.</p>
<p>"Abandon as losers? Never. In any case we'll stay in F1 for many years," Ghosn was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.</p>
<p>"The fruits of our work on the way to recovery will be seen in the second part of the season. It's clear that I'm not happy with the results,</p>
<p>"No marriage resists in F1 with a lack of results. Everyone in the team knows we must do more."</p>

<p>O presidente das fabricantes de automóveis Renault e Nissan, Carlos Ghosn, ressaltou nesta quinta-feira que, embora não acredite que o futuro da indústria automobilística esteja em perigo pelo aumento dos preços do petróleo, será necessária uma "ruptura tecnológica" que permita romper seu atual grau de dependência, que não é viável a longo prazo.</p>
<p>"Caso fossem cumpridas as previsões, e a proporção mundial de carros passasse dos 600 milhões atuais para 2,9 bilhões em 2050, e se continuássemos tão dependentes quanto agora do petróleo, o barril provavelmente chegaria a US$ 1 mil", afirmou Ghosn.</p>
<p>Em termos gerais, ele explicou que "não se pode prever o desenvolvimento mundial em um prazo de 20 anos tendo só o petróleo como fonte de energia", e opinou que a diversificação dessas fontes no setor automobilístico será o carro elétrico e a pilha de combustível (hidrogênio).</p>
<p>Sobre este assunto, lembrou que a Renault se comprometeu a vender na Europa carros elétricos a partir de 2010, e assegurou que serão "confiáveis e modernos".</p>
<p>Segundo ele, o futuro do automóvel passa pelos veículos sem emissão de poluentes e pelos sistemas de conexão com outros veículos para uma melhor gestão do trânsito, por exemplo.</p>
<p>Ghosn destacou que "nunca contemplou" o fechamento de fábricas da Renault na França, embora "não se deva esperar crescimento muito forte em suas capacidades", já que é muito difícil exportar o que se produz em países da zona do euro.</p>
<p>Ele considerou que as vendas da Renault na França - seu principal mercado - foram razoavelmente bem no ano passado, com o destaque para carros de menor potência.</p>
<p>Perguntado sobre a continuidade da marca na Fórmula 1, afirmou que sua presença "é um compromisso durável", e que a equipe está "trabalhando forte para obter resultados".</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Le concept-car du Coupé Laguna avait été présenté au dernier salon de Francfort. Lors de cet évènement, ce concept avait reçu un très bon accueil de la part du public et des journalistes. Renault avait indiqué que le concept était très proche de la version définitive. Carlos Ghosn a confirmé ces propose en présentant samedi soir à Cannes, en avant-première, la version définitive du Coupé Laguna. Cela faisait longtemps que Renault n'avait pas présenté un nouveau modèle soulevant une majorité de commentaires élogieux !</p>
<p>Commercialisé en octobre prochain, la Laguna Coupé a des proportions équilibrées et un design dynamique. Les performances annoncées par le constructeur français sont honnêtes, avec un 0 à 100 km/h en 7 secondes. Le châssis Active Drive à quatres roues directrices initié sur la version GT de la Laguna.</p>
<p>Les tarifs n'ont pas encore été annoncés et le seront probablement lors du Mondial de l'Auto à Paris en septembre prochain.</p>

Now, Renault revealed in Tel Aviv last Sunday their Project Better Place. Renault promises to manufacture “a range of electric vehicles” starting with a sedan. The said Project Better Place of Renault was just a sample with a cobbled-together battery. Renault is serious about leading the rising Electric Vehicle market especially in America. The said French automaker is even ready to spend as much as $1 billion in creating EVs. Carlos Ghosn, company CEO, said that Nissan (own by Renault) will also offer an electric vehicle in California in 2010. </span></span></p>

They hope to build 7,500 zero-emission vehicles on the road by 2014. Shai Agassi, founder of Project Better Place, said that the list price will be the same as the gasoline-generated cars but the actual price will be far less after tax breaks. </span></span></p>

They also plan to produce several EVs on the road in Israel within a year. Further, Agassi said that they plan to use solar energy produced in the Negev Desert to control the vehicles. </span></span></p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align:justify;">L'Alliance Renault-Nissan vient d'annoncer le lancement avec le groupe indien Bajaj d'un programme de voiture à 2.500 dollars en Inde dont les ventes démarreront au printemps  2011 sur le segment en fort développement des voitures à très bas coût. Le groupe automobile franco-japonais et son partenaire indien vont créer une coentreprise destinée à "développer, produire et commercialiser" cette voiture, présentée pour l'instant sous le "nom de code ULC", ont-ils annoncé dans un communiqué commun. "L'ULC sera produite à Chakan (Etat du Maharashtra) en Inde, dans une usine créée à cet effet", dont la capacité initiale prévue sera de 400.000 véhicules par an. La nouvelle société sera détenue à hauteur de 50% par Bajaj Auto, 25% par Renault et 25% par Nissan. La gamme de prix s'échelonnera "à partir de 2.500 dollars" et la commercialisation est prévue "début 2011" en Inde. La voiture est conçue pour le marché indien en forte croissance et ce pays sera "le marché principal" de l'ULC, mais la voiture aura aussi "un potentiel de croissance sur les autres marchés émergents dans le monde". Le groupe franco-japonais a déjà été précédé sur le marché indien des voitures à très bas coût par le groupe indien Tata, entré en scène au début de l'année avec la Nano. Dévoilée en janvier 2008  à New Delhi, puis présentée en mars 2008  au salon de Genève, elle doit être commercialisée courant 2008 au prix de 100.000 roupies (2.500 dollars), mais pas sur le marché européen. Le groupe Renault-Nissan et  l'indien Bajaj --spécialisé dans les deux roues et les véhicules utilitaires légers-- "travaillent ensemble", a souligné une porte-parole de Renault, en précisant que les trois entreprises allaient maintenant poursuivre le développement du projet, construire la nouvelle usine et préparer le réseau de distribution. Le projet avait été mis en route en juillet 2007 avec l'ouverture de "discussions préliminaires" avec Bajaj. En novembre 2007 , le président de Renault-Nissan Carlos Ghosn avait dit être parvenu à un accord avec Bajaj pour produire la voiture en Inde. Lors de l'assemblée générale de Renault, qui s'est tenue le  29 avril dernier , il avait évoqué le projet en soulignant que l'Inde "sera l'un des grands marchés mondiaux", sur lequel "il y aura de la place pour tout le monde". M. Carlos Ghosn avait alors reconnu le "rôle de pionnier" de Tata, en observant que Renault-Nissan arrivera deux ans après, mais il avait assuré que la future voiture à très bas coût de l'Alliance aurait "des avantages" par rapport à la Nano. Le constructeur indien Xenitis, allié au chinois Guangzhou Motors, a prévu de commercialiser fin 2008 en Inde une "voiture populaire" également autour de 2.500 dollars. Les ventes d'automobiles en Inde s'élevaient à 1,1 million en 2005, et ce chiffre devrait doubler d'ici à 2010 à mesure que la classe moyenne indienne progresse. L'Inde a produit 1,7 million de voitures en 2007, en hausse de 14%.  Renault y est déjà présent avec le programme de voiture à bas coût la Logan, construite sur place et commercialisée en partenariat avec le constructeur local Mahindra and Mahindra. Nissan est associé au groupe Hinduja Ashok Leyland dans les petits véhicules utilitaires. L'indo-japonais Maruti-Suzuki, qui détient plus de 50% du marché automobile indien, y commercialise une petite voiture vendue 4.800 dollars.</p>

Carlos Ghosn, CEO of both Renault and Nissan Motor, early this week he faced some petulant shareholders at the French automaker's annual meeting on Apr. 29 in Paris. One complained that the stock was down more than 30% this year. What, he wanted to know, had happened to the Ghosn Effect?</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Good question. The Ghosn Effect once referred to the galvanizing impact the CEO had on Nissan, when he was dispatched by Renault, Nissan's controlling shareholder, to turn around the foundering Japanese company almost a decade ago.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Today, Ghosn's critics use the phrase to describe a boss who they worry may be stretched so thin he cannot manage either Nissan or Renault as well as he could manage one company. He certainly has hit a bad patch these days. Sales at Renault has become flat. Profits from last year slid 7.6% and won't do any better in 2008. Same story about Nissan stock is down 32% from its 12-month high on flat profits in 2007 and bit poor prospects for 2008.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Yet Ghosn, a.k.a. Le Cost Killer, Super Carlos, the Icebreaker, and probably a dozen other epithets, isn't ruffled by the critics. True, his schedule seems impossible for ordinary mortals to survive, let alone thrive on. On Saturday, Apr. 26, he was in Tokyo preparing for Nissan's May 13 annual meeting and announcement of a new five-year plan. Monday night it was New York to pick up an award (after lunch with BusinessWeek). Tuesday afternoon he was in Paris to meet those agitated shareholders.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">And, says Ghosn, it's all worth it. If you look at car-company tie-ups, such as Daimler-Benz buying Chrysler or Ford Motor (F) buying Jaguar and Land Rover, "there is only one global alliance that has added value, and that is Nissan and Renault," he says, pointing out that the two are still earning billions even in a year of recession and slowdown. Renault's operating income hit $1.8 billion in 2007, while Nissan posted $3.1 billion in operating income for the first half of its current fiscal year.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Ghosn figures his dual-CEO role fits the times, when automakers must move fast to adapt to changing tastes and ever-tougher regulations. In 2007 he launched four major joint ventures involving Nissan and Renault: two electric car projects in Denmark and Israel, a combined factory in Morocco, and a project to design and build a $3,000 car in India. That's on top of winning a joint venture in Russia with AvtoVAZ, securing a deal to supply small cars to Chrysler, outsourcing Nissan's pickup-truck manufacturing in the U.S., and agreeing to build small pickups for Suzuki Motor. "You need one decision-maker for these things," says Ghosn, "so you get the bickering [that would result from having two CEOs] off the table."</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">The game for Ghosn is getting even more challenging than when he saved Nissan from bankruptcy. In his worldview, Nissan has to stay strong in the U.S. even though, he says, "the U.S. market is not going to be great again." A saturated America now has some 800 vehicles per 1,000 people, vs. fewer than 30 in China and India. Hence the dilemma: You have to stand your ground in the huge U.S. marketplace while racing to win the hearts and pocketbooks of first-time car buyers in China, Brazil, Russia, and elsewhere.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">his gut feeling is the kind of problem Ghosn the engineer relishes. Current and former colleagues say he would not tolerate a lot of dissent and often relies on his own instinct rather than building consensus. That trait makes for a faster pace, but mixed results. Ghosn in 2003 unilaterally overruled his U.S. managers who opposed the sale of Nissan Versa subcompacts in North America, figuring Americans would not cotton to a fuel-sipping, tiny car designed for China and Latin America. Score one for Ghosn: Nissan will sell more than 120,000 Versas this year in the U.S.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">On the other hand, just four years after launching the Nissan Titan fullsize pickup and opening a plant in Mississippi to build it, he is throwing in the towel. Nissan is on track to sell just 60,000 Titans this year, compared with Toyota's (TM) 165,000 Tundras. At least Ghosn admitted his mistake fast, says George Magliano, director of North American auto industry analysis at Global Insight: "Getting out now is the smart thing to do." Ghosn is moving to make the factory profitable by cranking out light commercial trucks there.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Ghosn wants to bring such quick decision-making to emerging markets. Rather than developing global products for both brands to share, he figures Renault and Nissan should design for local tastes and have the flexibility to export a design fast to ride consumer trends elsewhere. That's what happened with the no-frills Logan. Developed by Renault for Eastern Europe and Latin America, it also caught on in France and other more developed markets.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">More than anything, Ghosn wants to be prepared rather than try to predict: "We can't know what consumers will want 10 years out." But generally he is betting on smaller engines, smaller vehicles, and higher fuel economy due to the probable rise in gas prices. In green technology, he is stressing all-electric vehicles (EVs) more than gas-electric hybrids: "People used to think electric cars were ugly, hard to drive, and unsafe, but it's completely different now." The goal is to build a lineup of EVs starting in 2012.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Lowering the costs of technology and production is crucial to making both companies more profitable. That's where global cross-pollination comes in. When it built the Logan, Renault tapped India's Mahindra &#38; Mahindra for ideas on inexpensive manufacturing. Now Nissan and Renault have teamed with Bajaj Auto on a $3,000 car for sale in the Indian market. Ghosn wants to infuse his companies with India's low-cost- design thinking: "They understand frugal engineering, which is something we aren't as good at in Europe or Japan." Linking India to the rest of the empire: a new reason for the hyperdriven Ghosn to keep moving.</p>

Pourtant, il n'y a pas de quoi se réjouir avec un Fernando Alonso qui a tristement cassé son moteur à la mi-course.</strong></p>
<p>Notre Jacques Laffite national qui parle toujours à contretemps a terminé son analyse du GP de cet après-midi par une lumineuse déclaration dont il a le secret: "Carlos Ghosn doit être ravi du retour au sommet de Renault." On ne peut que s'incliner devant des propos aussi pertinents. Devant son écran de télévision, le patron de Renault a dû en effet trouver son écurie en gros progrès avec un Alonso cassant son moteur à la mi-course alors qu'il était 6ème et un Nelson Piquet junior terminant sa course dans les graviers alors qu'il se battait pour une piteuse 17ème place.</p>
<p>Certes, la deuxième place d'Alonso lors des essais hier pouvait laisser entrevoir des progrès. mais il s'agissait avant tout d'un leurre. Pour faire plaisir au public espagnol, la voiture d'Alonso était peu chargée en essence, ce qui explique sa performance. La vraie valeur de la voiture, nous l'avons vu lors du GP où après son premier ravitaillement Alonso n'était pas en mesure de suivre le rythme des 3 écuries de tête, Ferrari, Mc Laren et BMW. Un autre indicateur: le temps au tour du double champion du monde. Il est à plus d'une seconde de la Ferrari du vainqueur du jour Kimi Raikkonen et Alonso est même moins rapide que la Redbull de Mark Webber.</p>
<p>Alors, Renault en progrès ? Oui par rapport au début de saison où l'écurie était complètement larguée au point d'être derrière les Williams et les Toyota. Mais non par rapport aux 3 équipes de tête qui peuvent continuer à dormir sur leurs deux oreilles. Les Renault, malgré le talent d'Alonso, ne gagneront pas un GP cette saison et arriveront peut-être à grapiller un ou deux podiums selon les circonstances de course. Au final, l'écurie Renault est au même point que la saison dernière et c'est ce qui est le plus inquiétant.</p>
<p>Cette écurie est en train de payer aujourd'hui son choix d'il y a deux saisons. A l'époque, le respecté Patrick Faure était mis prématurément à la retraite pour être remplacé par un directeur financier ne connaissant rien à la formule 1. On voit aujourd'hui combien la stratégie de Mr Ghosn est payante... D'ailleurs, qui aujourd'hui connait le nom du patron de Renault F1? Vous avez une idée? Non, vraiment le choix de mettre à l'écart Patrick Faure, un vrai passionné de F1 qui connaissait bien le milieu, fut une grossière erreur. Fernando Alonso semble déjà s'être rendu compte qu'il n'y a aucun avenir au sein de l'écruie française et il ne faudra pas s'étonner de le voir chez BMW l'an prochain.</p>

Si on sent chez vous de l'affection pour le pays et sa culture, on vous passera vos erreurs. Au Japon, il faut être japonais. Et savoir le montrer passe par les détails. Avec mes oeillères occidentales, au début, j'ai gaffé. Dans un ascenseur, je laissais passer les dames. Jusqu'au jour où on m'a courtoisement expliqué qu'au Japon les hommes doivent passer devant.» <!--more--></p>
<p>Le patron de Renault Nissan se réjouit d'être né dans un pays pauvre, le Brésil de 1954. «Plus vous voyez de gens lutter autour de vous quand vous êtes jeune, mieux vous êtes préparé à affronter la vie.» Il évoque sa jeunesse au Liban, où il se forme chez les jésuites. «Le Liban, c'est un vrai melting-pot religieux. Naître dans un pays où l'on parle portugais, puis grandir dans un pays de langue arabe, où même le sens de la lecture est inversé, c'est un sacré apprentissage. Quant aux jésuites, c'est la première multinationale ! Les prêtres avaient des cultures différentes mais des valeurs strictes. Es nous ont ouverts au monde. Cela m'a bien préparé à la diversité.» On en oublie qu'il a fait Polytechnique et les Mines.</p>

<p>This is <a title="Carlos Ghosn Wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Ghosn" target="_blank">Carlos Ghosn</a>. If you haven't heard of him, you should. What he did with Nissan is remarkable. Listening to his lecture, you'd understand and you will have no doubt whatsoever that he did what the books, analysts, media etc said he did. It was no fiction.</p>
<p>While it's still fresh on my mind, the pointers. Some are paraphrased, or interpreted from my understanding of the lecture.</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>On change</strong>: The one thing that you have to remember when you are the agent of change is that you are alone. Don't expect any support, don't count on it. You are alone in your plan, you are alone in the execution, you are <strong>ALONE</strong>. All you can do is keep your head down and stick to the plan and stick to it and stick to it and stick to it until it works and people turn around and say, you were right.</li>
<li><strong>On motivation</strong>: You cannot order people to be motivated. You cannot pay them, you cannot force them. You cannot demand it of your employees. They either have it, or they don't. Motivation is a gift that they give to you and only they decide whether they want to or otherwise. There is nothing else that you can do.</li>
<li><strong>On how to motivate your people</strong>: Motivation is the very fundamental of good management, one of the two things that you must have or look for in the people that you work with. The second thing is empathy. You and the people that you work for must have empathy, defined as the ability to understand, listen and take in opinions or suggestions from all quarters and really think about them and be able to relate to the people who made these suggestions. It’s all about having passion. There are many ways to motivate people.<strong> But I’ll give you one way not to motivate people. Don’t listen. </strong>(everyone laughed)</li>
<li><strong>On cultural and sex diversity</strong>: Let’s be honest, the Renault-Nissan alliance is the only alliance that worked. It is simply for the reason that it is not an attempt for a European car manufacturer forcing his ideas on a Japanese revered car institution or vice versa. It is an alliance, not a merger. It would be foolish to try to make Nissan a Renault or Renault a Nissan or combine the two and try to make a better car. Each has its own unique entity and branding and you have to respect that. What we must do is acknowledge the diversities, treat it with utmost respect and work on ways where we can exchange technologies et cetera to make better, individual cars without compromising that diversity. Same with sex diversity. Nissan sells 4 million cars a year in Japan, and 3 out of 4 cars are bought by women OR by men who brought a woman with him. It would be very stupid of us to design a fantastic car without thinking of the aesthetics that would be pleasing to the customers - in this case it is obvious that women have the upper hand. So how do we make cars that appeal to women? Simply by having more female engineers, designers, marketing people etc. It doesn’t make sense to try to do it any other way.</li>
<li><strong>On mistakes he regrets</strong>: I made many mistakes but the one that I regret would be taking too much time to rectify or react to a mistake thinking that I have more time later to deal with it. Mistakes must be rectified immediately, assuming that it will resolve itself or get better with time is just prolonging the misery. But I will tell you, the people who stay (in Nissan after his 9 year tenure) are not the people who do not make any mistakes. <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>They are the people who make more good decisions that it overcomes the bad ones.</strong></span></li>
</ol>
<p>There are 2 things that I resolve to do now. One is to go and test drive the Nissan Fairlady and give it a serious consideration. Two is to come back in 5 years and become the CEO of Sepang F1 Circuit.</p>

<p>Como não viajei no Carnaval, tive tempo de ler algumas coisinhas que eu estava com vontade. Entre elas estão as últimas edições da Veja e Exame, das quais sou assinante há muitos anos.</p>
<p>Nas 2 revistas saíram matérias sobre a busca por carros elétricos eficientes, que poluem muito muito menos que carros movidos a gasolina ou álcool. Eu me interesso bastante pela questão da energia e poluição, e gostei bastante de saber de uma das iniciativas na área.</p>
<p>Um empresário chamado Shai Agassi propôs uma idéia de infra-estrutura de abastecimento para carros elétricos ao presidente de Israel, Shimon Peres. Nesta idéia proposta, os compradores de automóveis teriam um grande desconto para comprar os carros elétricos, e assinariam com a Better Place (empresa de Agassi) um contrato de consumo mensal, semelhante a um plano de telefonia celular. Você paga por uma determinada franquia de uso e adicionalmente pelo consumo excedente. Seriam criados vários postos de abastecimento em Israel, todos dentro deste esquema. O reabastecimento consistiria em trocar uma bateria já sem carga por outra totalmente carregada.</p>
<p>O presidente israelense gostou da idéia, e conversou com o brasileiro Carlos Ghosn, presidente da Renault-Nissan, que topou o desafio de produzir este carro. O modelo proposto seria capaz de rodar 160 km com uma carga de bateria, o que ficaria excelente para as condições de Israel, um país pequeno onde as principais cidades ficam a menos de 150 km entre si.</p>
<p>Para completar o ciclo, um grupo de investidores israelenses gostou do projeto e investirá mais de US$ 200 milhões no desenvolvimento do protótipo deste carro.</p>
<p>Claro que é muito difícil saber se este projeto será ou não um sucesso, mas a Renault-Nissan é uma empresa de altíssima competência técnica, e os investimentos no projeto permitirão estudos aprofundados e adequados para o desenvolvimento deste novo carro. As questões comerciais ainda são também uma incógnita, talvez maior do que a questão técnica. Entretanto, para todos nós seria excepcional que um projeto como esses fosse bem-sucedido, pois teria um impacto gigantesco sobre o consumo de energia e poluição no planeta. Torço demais para que isso dê certo, e que o Carlos Ghosn deixe de ser uma história marcante de sucesso como executivo para se tornar um verdadeiro herói dos tempos atuais.</p>

Er wird voraussichtlich in die Initiative investieren und den Aufbau eines großen Entwicklungszentrums in Israel ankündigen. </p>
<p>Die Elektroauto-Initiative des israelischen High-tech-Mannes Agassi soll die Basis zur Aufladung von Hunderttausenden strombetriebenen und umweltfreundlicheren Autos schaffen, die nach und nach die herkömmlichen benzin- und dieselbetriebenen Fahrzeuge ablösen sollen.</p>
<p>Renault-Nissan, der viertgrößte Automobilhersteller der Welt, wird der erste Automobilhersteller sein, der ein Entwicklungszentrum in Israel errichtet. Dabei wird mit Investitionen in Höhe von mehreren Hundert Millionen Dollar gerechnet.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My Mom wrote a series called Timely Thoughts for the Mandeville Weekly and we will include one each month in the Families for Christ Newsletter. Here is an interesting one:</p>
<p> A few nights ago, before retiring, my three-year-old grand-daughter ended her prayer with, Dear Lord: Bless everybody except Brandon and me. She really meant "especially Brandon and me", but since she couldn't remember the bigger word, she used a smaller on "Except". What a good thing God understands", I found myself thinking and smiling.</p>
<p>Children are not the only ones who make wrong requests in prayer. Adults do too, but an all-knowing God, who is fully aware of our thoughts, say in His word, (Romans 8:26, 27), <span class="sup">26</span>In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. <span class="sup">27</span>And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Renault ¿una gran familia?]]></title>

<p>Los medios de prensa son "geniales". Entiendase geniales cuando argumentan que la mejor opcion deportiva es aquella <u><strong><em>donde el deportista se sienta como en casa</em></strong></u>. Luego, quizá, en las últimas líneas argumenten algún factor técnico postivo o en contra de la escudería sobre la que trate el artículo.</p>
<p>Pues bien voy a desmontar el mayor argumento para que fiche por Renault: <strong><em><u>NO ES UNA GRAN FAMILIA</u></em></strong>. Simple y llanamente porque el jefe, el capo, el que pone o mas bien decide el dinero que y cómo se pone es Carlos Ghosn. ¿Y este quién es? Pues el presidente del grupo mundial Renault-Nissan, que en su día ya despreció el portencial de Alonso amenazando con un recorte de presupuesto y aunciando que Renault no tenía planes en la F1 a largo plazo, que era mejor centrarse en otras disciplinas del motor.</p>
<p>Asi pues Alonso, el día de su marcha cuando alegaba que no le convencía el proyecto deportivo de Renault, <u><em><strong>se refería a las amenazas de Ghosn</strong></em></u>, hombre de empresa implacable que reestructuró el grupo Renault-Nissan a golpe de ahorro de costes, la F1 según él era un despilfarro.Pero el tiempo pasó, Renault ganó y vio el  poder de marketing de la F1, Alonso se fue, el equipo no dio ni una en el 2007 y perdió dinero en patrocinios.</p>
<p>Como rectificar es de sabios, Carlos Ghosn <u><strong><em>quiere a Alonso para llenar de dinero el presupuesto</em></strong></u> de Renault sin que la matriz tenga que soltar ni un euro para mantener a flote el proyecto. El que Alonso se encuentre bien dentro del equipo... eso es otro cantar.</p>

Very enlightening. Tells the story of how a French company Renault managed to turnaround the Japanese company which was on the verge of bankruptcy. An excellent example of how one can change the culture of an organization for it's own good. We are so tempted to accept the status quo and assume that people can't change. This book provides the story of a great Lebanese Brazilian who broke through culture to win.</font></p>
