Innova FibaPrint(TM) Digital Photographic Papers

Innova Art Ltd's highly acclaimed award winning FibaPrint range has been designed as a digital solution to the traditional fibre based baryta papers used in the conventional darkroom. These papers have a special microporous gloss coating specifically for photographic reproduction and high quality fine art print applications. These provided coating range from a matte, through semi-matte to an ultra gloss finish, with the texture and feel of the art paper base giving it a quality ‘as close to any traditional fibre photo paper as I have seen’, as one renowned photographer said. The acid inhibiting crystal layer technology makes it the perfect digital photographic paper with an extremely large colour gamut and D-max rating of up to 2.7.

In 2003, when Innova began work on a fibre-based gloss photo paper, the target was to combine digital paper printing technology, at that point associated with matte inkjet papers only, with the right chemistry to produce a glossy digital art paper which gave optimal reproduction of photographic – colour and especially black and white – images. The first step was to find the right paper, a task that was made simple by modern improvements to Titanium dioxide. Unlike barium sulphate ‘Baryta (or bariet)’ type papers which have since been launched onto the market, Innova chose a smooth, fibre-based paper with a titanium dioxide base. Innova opted for a version with and without optical brightener in order to accommodate our customers’ tastes both for warmer, natural and bluish, brighter whites.

Innova recognised that many existing microporous inkjet coatings were very brittle and could possibly crack on a flexible, fibre-based paper. Now this has been elimitated with acid inhibiting crystal, the Innova FibaPrint range is the most comprehensive offering of digital fibre-based papers on the market today.

We now have a fibre based inkjet paper that, combined with the most advanced inksets, produces outstanding images. The TIPA Award for Best Independent Inkjet Paper, and four DIMA Awards in 2007 is a measure of the rapturous response it has received from photographers worldwide.

Olmec or Fibaprint Archival Paper?

The OLMEC 230gsm Archival Matte Paper is a really excellent archival matte paper, with many satisfied users. OPUSalbums lists this paper at £3.04 per square metre.

The Innova FibaPrint IFA39 White Matte paper 280gsm is a really excellent archival matte paper, with many satisfied users. OPUSalbums lists this paper at £11.19 per square metre.
How ever do we justify the difference.

Both products are excellent. They both have an exceptionally smooth surface. Many people will look at the image on the Olmec product and be very pleased. But for really excllent results the Innova Art Fibaprint (TM) product cannot be beaten. It is produced with a far more costly process - and the difference is visible.

- The Innova FibaPrint product has a far greater gamut. This is particularly visible in the area of dark shadows.

- Innvova FibaPint has a higher DMAX rating

- The Innova FibaPrint paper is produced on the Fourdrinier process so that the fibres all flow the same way. This increases the fineness of the print.

- Innova FibaPrint is a true bareit-type paper

- Whilst both papers have good archival qualities the Olmec product is classified as "Acid neutral", and the OBA-free Innova paper "Acid free". The latter is superior.

- There is clearly a difference in weight and therefore feel quality, durability etc.

- Many of the world's top photographers swear by the Innova paper.

- And finally only the Innova Fibaprint benefits from the Innova technology which has led to its winning a number of TIPA and DIMA awards fior digital fine art and photographic archival papers

Ultimately the choice is yours.

Heavy clouds, no rain
And every move causes pain
Ready kiss, but no love
I feel i’m torn in half
Ardent look, but no heat
It’s not you really need
Baby, now it has happened with us
We are dancing on broken glass
Can’t stand no more -

Never, never let you go
You are the one i’m searching for
Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone
Love’s carving it in the stone
Never, never let you go
Return the days we had before
Soul of my soul, blood of my blood
Love’s carving it in my heart

Gentle words, no aim
It seems we’re playing a game
Easy smile, but no fun
Sweet music for no one
Close embrace, but no more
Cold champagne we forgot to pour
Baby now it has happened with us
We are dancing on broken glass
Can’t stand no more

The foster father who left Dima in his car in the sweltering heat is undergoing therapy at a mental hospital

An American family adopted the two-year-old Dima Yakolev last March from the Pskovsk Regional Orphanage. The boy died when his father stopped by his office and left him in a parked car all day long.

It was boiling hot on the street. The temperature had reached 30 degrees Celsius and 55 degrees inside the vehicle. The child died and his foster father Mike Harrison wound up in the hospital after a heart attack. Harrison is managing director of the consulting firm, Project Solutions Group.

Dima had made a long journey from Russia's Pechor Pskovsk region to the U.S. His new family lived in Herndon, Virginia outside Washington DC. First, it seemed that fate had dealt the boy a second chance. His biological mother had put him up for adoption immediately after his birth — even though she too was raised in an orphanage. Dima was moved straight from the labor ward to the Pskovsk Regional Orphanage for children with a damaged central nervous system.

"We received Dima in 2006 straight from the labor ward," said Natalya Vishnevskaya, the head doctor at the orphanage. "His 18-year-old mother signed a refusal of the child and disappeared. It's unclear where she is now. She is a mentally disabled, lonely young girl who was also raised in an orphanage."

Dima's parents could have been Russian, but the potential foster parents reconsidered due to problems with his health. The boy had a cardiac murmur. However, the condition isn't severe. Doctors report the medical condition can be found in one of two babies during a detailed health check.

"The doctors discovered a heart murmur," Vishnevskaya said. "And although the boy was sweet, it was likely this diagnose together with his background that frightened the Russian couple. But the Harrisons agreed to adopt Dima."

The Harrisons entered Dima's life in the spring. The 45-year-old mother Carol and 49-year-old father Michael arrived to Russia from the U.S. to pick up their bundle of joy. They gathered all the necessary documents and Dima flew to a new country, family and home. He also received a new name. The Russian "Dima" became the American "Chase."

On that misfortune day, Michael's father was supposed to take his child to the nursery. But he decided to stop by work. He left the boy locked in his car in the parking lot with his seat belt fastened. He parked the off-road vehicle beneath the windows of his office. Michael lost track of time, and his heart skipped a beat when a passerby noticed "something" in the car. When the vehicle was opened, Dima was no longer breathing. His father tried to resuscitate the child and someone called the police.

After the tragedy, Carol requested that no one interfere with their personal life and restricted herself to: "We're mourning."

Michael ended up in the hospital. He fell into shock and had a heart attack. He was transferred to a private mental hospital. He is charged with manslaughter and faces up to 10 years in prison.

"I had a very good impression of the pair. They were absolutely normal people who were ready to become parents and take care of their child," Vishnevskaya said. "The boy was friendly, calm and good-natured. And he wasn't capricious at all. He was almost completely healthy when he was adopted."

How could a responsible adult who achieved such success have forgotten about his child? It's also hard to believe that 376 children have suffered a similar death in the U.S. over the past 10 years.

Interestingly, the boy died Tuesday — one week ago. But news of the tragedy reached Russia only several days later. Employees of the Russian Embassy in the U.S. only learned what had happened from the papers. READ MORE

READ MORE
The foster father who left Dima in his car in the sweltering heat is undergoing therapy at a mental hospital

While playing the Nordic Freeroll on Pokerstars, my brother sent me a link for a song. Cool, I thought, because we often share the same taste when it comes to music. The song mentioned is the french contribution in the Eurovision Song Contest. The finals were last week and Russia, with Dima Bilan, won the contest with the song Beliveve.

Anyway, I usually don`t care much for the Eurovision Song Contest and did not follow the finals. But the song my brother sent to me was the french contribution, Divine with Sebastian Tellier. It sounds like nothing I have heard before and yet, so familiar. It flows and you can not avoid liking it. You should listen to it, and make up your own mind. I think it will be worth it!

Trebuie scandal, trebuie pasiune, trebuie lacrima. A cui? A ta! Dar de ce plangi? Merita?

Ea a trecut! FAIN!

Ceva concerte de la Orange si dupa finala Eurovision (un fel de finala campionatului European pt astia - in care bineinteles or castigat rusii - futu-i in gura sa-i fut).

E prima data cand Rusia castigat primul loc. Cel mai aproape a fost in 2006 (tot Dima Bilan cu piesa "never let you go") si in 2000 (Alsou cu piesa "Solo").

Cat Stevens - Wild World

Dima Bilan - Believe

To: Honorable George W. Bush, President of the United States

Est-Europene. Ați declarat textual, domnule Președinte, că "întemnițarea a
