Today (Friday), I had my clinicals, and I got there early this time. I got to learn a lot this time. I was busy the whole day. I also got to give my first medicine shot! I did well, thanks to God, because the patient said she didn't even feel the needle. My teacher was also satisfied, so at least I learned that. Next week we're going to do some other interesting and new things for my clinicals, so I'm excited.

tapi alasan saya belum tentu bagus untuk anda, dan alasan anda belum tentu bagus juga untuk saya :D

walaupun saya sudah migrasi dari Struts1 ke Struts2 trus akhirnya ke JSF sudah lama, tapi pura-puranya saya baru migrasi sekarang :D , hehehe.

JSF

saya pindah dari struts1-->struts2 dan akhirnya ke JSF karena ketika pertama kali saya belajar JSF disitu saya melihat ada kesamaan antara konsep JSF dan Swing. yaitu berbasis komponen. sehingga hal ini membuat pembuatan halaman web sangat mudah karena berbasiskan komponen, artinya kita membuat halaman web seperti mendesain form dalam aplikasi desktop :D

dan selain itu JSF juga mendukung Dependency Injection yang mencakup scope untuk aplikasi website seperti request, session dan application :D , sehingga ini bisa digunakan sebagai pengganti DI-nya milik Spring :D

EJB

namun untuk total migrasi dari Spring ke EJB secara total mungkin baru sekarang ini, walaupun pertamanya saya belajar EJB lalu Spring dan sekarang saya balik lagi ke EJB :D

sebenarnya banyak orang enggan menggunakan EJB karena dulu ketika EJB masih versi 2.x, EJB dikatakan sebagai nighmare (mimpi buruk) bagi pengembang, entah saya juga kurang tahu karena saya mempelajari EJB sejak versi 3, dan menurut cerita penggunaan EJB 2.x sangat komplex dan memakan resource yang boros. :D

dan untungnya, pihak pengembang tidak putus asa dengan kegagalan EJB 2.x, sehingga sekarang saya bisa menikmati kemudahan dan kehebatan EJB 3.0 (yang katanya sebentar lagi mau keluar EJB 3.1) :D

Sebenarnya, kemampuan EJB tidak terlalu dapat dibanggakan dengan Spring Framework yang udah begitu banyak, namun disini saya menitik beratkan EJB dan Spring sebagai busines layer, bukan yang lainnya.

satu hal yang menjadi daya tarik EJB adalah kemampuan Injectionnya yang hanya dengan menggunakan annotation @EJB, tanpa melakukan konfigurasi seperti di Spring. hal ini memudahkan kita untuk memanggil komponen EJB secara langsung tanpa harus menginjeknya lewat metode setter atau lewat konstruktor seperti yang dilakukan Spring.

Namun harus di perhatikan jika EJB hanya dapat berjalan pada server yang mendukung JEE, sehingga jika kita menggunakan server seperti Tomcat dan GlassFish v.3, maka EJB tak akan berjalan karena server-server tersebut hanya digunakan untuk WebServer, so untuk menjalankan EJB kita perlu menggunakan server seperti JBoss ato GlassFish v.2

JPA

jpa sebenarnya merupakan spesifikasi yang tergabung dalam EJB yang dinamakan EJB-Entity. namun JPA tidak selalu harus berjalan bersama EJB, karena JPA juga dapat berjalan dalam aplikasi desktop ato web sama seperti Hibernate ato TopLink.

Sebenarnya JPA bukanlah sebuah framework untuk persistence, tapi merupakan spesifikasi seperti JDBC, sehingga untuk menjalankan JPA kita memerlukan implementasinya seperti menggunakan TopLink, Hibernate, EclipseLink, OpenJPA, KODO dan yang lainnya.

sehingga JPA bisa dikatakan sebagai JDBC tingkat tinggi :D (ngarang), karena emang penggunaannya sangat mudah dari pada JDBC dan hampir mirip seperti Hibernate.

hanya saja karena JPA merupakan spesifikasi yang bisa diimplementasi oleh berbagai framework, sehingga bisa dibilang JPA kurang komplete jika dibandingkan dengan Hibernate, terutama dalam hal Query.

namun alasan kenapa saya memilih JPA karena hal pertama adalah JPA merupakan kesatuan EJB, sehingga penggunaannya sangat mudah dengan EJB, dan selain itu dengan bantuan EJB proses transaksi untuk JPA jadi mudah karena kita tak perlu memikirkan "TRANSACTION" untuk proses-proses persistence yang kita lakukan karena semuanya di handle langsung oleh EJB.

Dan yang paling bermanfaat adalah JPA dapat diinjek hanya dengan menggunakan annotation @PersistenceContext atau @PersistenceUnit, sehingga penggunaannya semakin mudah, dan hal ini tanpa bantuan EJB ato Spring, sehingga andai kita tak menggunakan EJB, kita tetap bisa melakukan injeksi ke JPA

Facelets + SEAM

Facelets dan SEAM merupakan framework yang patut digunakan jika kita menggunakan JSF+EJB+JPA, karena :

dengan facelets kita dapat dengan mudah menkoneksikan antara JSP dan JSF yang kadang ditemukan berbagai kendala seperti dalam "ExpressionLanguage" misalnya. dan selain itu dengan facelets, pembuatan halaman web dapat berbasiskan template, sehingga mempermudah pembuatan halaman web ketika kita memerlukan halaman yang banyak namun memiliki kesamaan layout.

dengan SEAM, kita dapat dengan mudah mengintregasikan antara JSF dan EJB, dan selain itu SEAM mendukung facelets dan SEAM juga memiliki kemampuan yang banyak seperti kemampuan untuk menampilkan Chart, kemampuan membangun RSS, integrasi untuk Email, dan lainnya. Dan semua itu berbasiskan JSF dan EJB, sehingga SEAM akan membuat pengguna JSF dan EJB lebih termanjakan, hahahaha :D

tapi tidak selamanya pendapat saya sesuai dengan keinginan anda bukan?

Bulan lalu sebenarnya saya sudah pernah membaca berita mengenai adanya kasus link injection di Wordpress, tapi karena saya pikir blog-blog saya sudah aman, jadinya ya saya cuekin. Thanks to info dari mbak RembulanMerah, ternyata blog ini sudah jadi korban juga, hehehe. Terpaksa deh, tinggalin kerjaan sebentar dan utak-atik blog untuk ngeberesin masalah.

Seperti apa sih link injection ini?

Gini deh, coba salah satu cara berikut:

1. Buka halaman ini dan masukkan alamat blog Wordpress Anda (gak bisa subdirektori). Selanjutnya akan ada halaman baru (pop-up) yang terbuka. Lihat source code-nya (View - Page Source pada Firefox).
2. Masuk ke Google.Com, ketikkan site:namadomainanda.com pada kotak pencarian. Pada hasil pencarian, klik Cached (atau Tembolok pada versi bahasa Indonesia) di salah satu halaman yang terindeks. Setelah terbuka, lihat source code-nya.

Jika pada kode sumber halaman tersebut, terutama pada bagian bawah, terdapat kode-kode yang tak dikenal (berupa daftar link ke situs lain), SELAMAT, berarti Anda sudah menjadi korban juga :)

Solusinya ada beberapa (karena penyebabnya juga ada beberapa) dan bisa Anda baca sendiri di sini. Saya sendiri hanya menggunakan salah satu (atau salah dua) yang paling sederhana. Setidaknya itu berhasil mengatasi masalah di CosaAranda.Com.

Cara yang saya pilih adalah menghapus pemanggilan terhadap fungsi wp_header (pada template Header) dan wp_footer (pada template Footer) dari theme Wordpress yang digunakan.

Anda bisa menggunakan cara yang sama, tapi ingat, apabila memakai plugin All-In-One SEO Pack, penghapusan fungsi wp_header akan mengakibatkan plugin tersebut tidak berjalan. Solusinya? Pake plugin CA-Title aja, blog ini pake loh, hihihi.

I had to do a minor release of Ronin and the Ronin SQL library due to trivial bugs I found in URI::HTTP#explode_query_params and URI::HTTP#sql_errors. If you are using Ronin 0.0.9 or Ronin SQL 0.1.0, you should run the following command:
$ sudo gem update
or download the new releases straight from rubyforge.org.

As Javascript is enabled by default in web browsers, it is easy to become a victim.

The way to avoid JavaScript injection is not to visit unknown sites, especially those offering pirated software. Update Windows regularry and apply the critical patches. Disable active Javascript in IE.

I have no quarrel with his decision nor his reasons behind it, but the way in which he recounted the event and turned it into an academic outburst is what raised the eyebrows. The whole incident was so prestigious.

They're both Avonex; they both have the same main active ingredient.  But the old one has a suspension fluid that causes severe, short term, side effects for many, many people.  I was one of them.  It used to be that for 24 hours after my injection I'd have full body tremors, fevered (literally have a fever!), my skin would hurt all over, and my muscles would be in such hard spasm everywhere I would be in intense pain.  I'd have to not only take my nightly meds which, if you include the few vitamins, is 20 pills.  But I'd also have to take a few extra drugs, like aspirin, valium and soma.  And it still wouldn't help too much, just enough to let me fall asleep, which is how I cope with high intensity pain.

I'd heard the powdered form didn't cause such severe side effects so I got it.  And last night, I must say, was better.  I still hurt, but nowhere near as badly as before.  And today I hurt but again, not as much as before!

I hate getting my injections.  I'll just put that out there.  I really hate it.  I don't use the word hate too often because it's such a strong word... but this I truly HATE.

Here's the kicker.  The whole thing about MS is that my immune system is so powerful it attacks my own body, thus destroying nerve connections in the brain and spinal column.  The medicine brings my immune system down really low; so low in fact that I now get sick with every little germ that comes floating my way.  It's crazy.

Get this.  Last fall/winter, when I had the flu and 3 colds in a row and was sick for several months straight, I decided that I would stop taking the Avonex temporarily until the Flu season was over.  After all, people were dying, and our hospitals were so overcrowded here they were shipping people out of state!  So, for 6 months (until this April) I didn't take my injections and guess what?  I now have optic neuritis.  So the Avonex really does work to keep the progression of the disease at bay.

This Winter, I'll still be taking the Avonex; however, I'm also going to do something the doctor has said she's not sure I should do but that the pharmaceutical company's pharmacist says makes sense (although they've never tested this).  I'm going to take immuno-boosters, like Echinacea, Vit C and other herbs and vitamins that boost the immune system's functions.  I'm hoping that this will bring my immune system to somewhat of a normal level.

Without Avonex my immune function is at a 10 and say 5 is normal.  With Avonex, my immune function is at a 1 or a 0, so I'm hoping that with the immuno-boosters, it will bring me up to that 5...  not so high that my immune system is attacking itself, but still preventing me from getting sick with every bug in town.

So today I hurt.  But I'm working on feeling better.  Writing to you about what I'm going to do helps.

Summer actually took it like a trooper!  She cried.  A lot.  Screamed a couple of times.  And after her second one,  she gave me this 'look'.  And I felt soooo mean!  I felt like maybe she thought it was me that did that to her.  But after about 5 minutes she was good as gold and ready to make a visit to her Grandma (Rick's mum).

Oh and I forgot to post on Tuesday that Summer did her first real belly laugh.  I was playing around with her and she pulled a funny face,  which got me started with the giggles and then finally she had a go at giggling!  It was absolutely ADORABLE.  I don't know how to describe the feeling I got when she did it.  I love her to bits.  And it just keeps getting better.  I can't wait to capture all these moments in pictures and videos.
