V: It Just Never Ends

So, there's more V on the way to TV.
The sequel, which you can read about here, picks up where the original series left off, and ignores the Ham Tyler episodes and the (shudder) second TV series with the much-haired Kyle Bates.
This is interesting - when it was shown in the US, those first 3 episodes were it. The Final Battle stuff, then the weekly series were nothing to do with Kenneth Johnson, and that's why he is ignoring them for this return and picking up where HIS vision left off - with Donovan and that blonde girl whose name I don't remember (Julie?) sending a distress signal into space asking for help. In the new series, that help arrives.

For us in Europe, we didn't see that first series broken up, we got it all in a single week, five episodes, and didn't know at the time that it was too different entities. I've known now for a while, having read up on it some time ago, but anyone eho hasn't figured that out is going to be VERY confused when this new series starts and picks up from a point WAY back in the story line!!
Still... Interesting to see what can be made of V with today's technological advances on the mid-80s.

Pues seguimos con las noticias concernientes a V: Los visitantes. Ya que Kenneth Johnson ha hecho unas declaraciones que ha sorprendido a mas de uno, a pesar de los rumores que llevan circulando por la red desde hace algunos añitos.

El creador de la mítica serie que ya esta disponible en DVD (pincha AQUI para mas información), ha declarado en la web The Dead Bolt lo siguiente "Desde que tengo los derechos para realizar una película de la serie "V", trabajamos para hacer un remake en cine de la mini-serie original y estoy muy contento porque tendré la oportunidad de dirigirla".

En principio, se rodarían 2 películas. La primera sería una especie de remake de la serie original (como ya ha comentado Johnson), mientras que la segunda estaría basada en el libro que el mismo escribió titulado "The Second Generation", cuya trama gira en torno a los visitantes 20 años después de la miniserie original.

A pesar de todos los indicios, aún no hay nada escrito ni firmado. En imdb, la mayor base de datos disponible para el mundo del cine, sólo hay una pequeña ficha que podría atestiguar en un futuro próximo la vuelta a La Tierra de los lagartos. Pero no hay nada confirmado, a excepción del director, que volvería a ser Kenneth Johnson.

Posible remake de"V"

Todos recordamos esa maravilosa serie de los 80 donde unos lagartos alienigenas con piel humana conquistaban el planeta. También recordamos con desagradable nitidez la primera vez que Diana, una de las lideres invasoras, se comia una rata de forma demasiado realista (para ser los 80 claro). Pues bien esa gradiosa serie en la que nuestro planeta quedaba en manos de los jefes de la resistencia el periodista Mike Donovan y la doctora Juliet Parish (estos dos acababan con la guerra de Terminator en menos de una peli y sin tener ningún conocimiento militar) puede saltar a la gran pantalla si se cumplen los deseos de Kenneth Johnson, creador de la serie original. Johson ha declarado que espera hacer una trilogia, la primera parte seria un remake de la serie y las otras dos serian una adaptación de la novela "V: Segunda Generación".
Sea una o sean tres esperamos las adaptaciones con muchisimas ganas, ¿quien dijo que no hay remake bueno?.

Scientists gain their knowledge mainly through research, conducting experiments, and the application of intellect.

Disciples of Christ receive their witness by studying His words, observing His works, putting gospel principles into practice, and receiving the spirit of inspiration.⁸

Although spiritual truths may appear less tangible, to the humble heart their impact is undeniable. It is important to understand that natural laws were not determined on the basis of popularity. They were

Wise men have provided a legacy of learning from the past. We must hand down to future generations a foundation of faith in the family, as defined by Deity.¹⁴

We should never forget that freedom and happiness in all aspects of life come by understanding and living in harmony with eternal gospel principles. They provide a sure foundation upon which to build a productive and happy life.¹⁵

Following the pattern prescribed through the plan of the Father has enabled me to experience what it means to live “after the manner of happiness”¹⁶ and “with joy . . . draw water out of the wells of salvation.”¹⁷

The Savior taught, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”¹⁸

Our outlook or attitude can sometimes restrict our ability to enjoy life’s greatest opportunities.

The question could be asked, “What of those who have not experienced a positive family environment?”

Stable families provide the fabric that holds society together, benefiting all mankind, even those who may feel they live in less-favorable circumstances.

For those who faithfully live¹⁹ and patiently pray for such sociality,²⁰ I share the simple, soothing words of Helen Steiner Rice:

When God makes a promise,
It remains forever true,
For everything God promises
He unalterably will do.
When you’re disillusioned
And every hope is blighted
Recall the promises of God
And your faith will be relighted.²¹

La sèrie V podria ser pel·lícula

Sembla que està de moda, encara que denoti una preocupant falta d'idees, portar les sèries mítiques dels 80 al cinema. S'ultimen les adaptacions a la gran pantalla d" "El cotxe fantástico" o de "El equipo A" i creixen els rumors sobre una pel·lícula sobre la sèrie dels llangardaixos verds, V.

Kenneth Johnson, el seu creador, ha confirmat en una entrevista que es treballa en el tema. "Des que compto amb els drets per a una pel·lícula de V", explica Johnson a The Dead Bolt, "vam treballar per a fer un remake en cinema de la sèrie original, i estic molt content perquè em donen l'oportunitat de dirigir-la".

Johnson també va avançar que després haurà una seqüela, basada en el seu nou llibre "V: Segona Generació", que podria convertir-se també en sèrie televisiva.

Ja que estem aprofitem per recordar una de les escenes més mítiques de la sèrie i també de la televisió, quan Diana es posa al descobert i es menja amb ànsia una rata de mida considerable..nyam, nyam!

La théorie du complot repose sur le fait que les puissants de ce monde, les riches, les hommes et les femmes de pouvoir, nos dirigeants, ceux qui sont à la tête de la hiérarchie, nous cachent quelque chose, qu'ils refusent de nous dire toute la vérité, que leurs intentions sont malsaines, que forcément toutes les décisions qui sont prises par eux sont prises dans un dessein de détruire, de faire, de répandre le mal, d'asservir la population, de la dominer, la contrôler, la manipuler. Derrière un sourire se cache forcément un rictus, une perversion, une abomination, une horreur, une soif de pouvoir et d'argent. Aucune bonne intention ne peut venir d'un homme influent. Les scientifiques, les politiciens, les hommes d'affaires, les représentants de l'ordre, les fonctionnaires, sont tous corrompus et foncièrement méchants.

Récemment un confrère de travail s'amusait pour le plaisir de la chose à lire un livre d'un complotiste, mais TOUT UN complotiste. L'auteur se nomme David Icke, nom qui m'était jusqu'à ce jour complètement inconnu. Après une carrière de footballeur professionnel et de journaliste sportif à la BBC, le gars s'est mis soudainement à croire aux extra-terrestres et à développer une extraordinaire théorie du complot qui n'est pas s'en rappeler la mini-série des années 80, la série V. Dans cette mini-série américaine réalisée au début des années 80 par Kenneth Johnson, celui-là même qui avait réalisé La femme bionique (souvenez-vous des Fembots), le héros principal, le journaliste Mike Donovan, découvre des légions d'extraterrestes revêtant une forme humaine mais qui se trouve à être, sous leurs apparences trompeuses, des reptiles humanoïdes. Comme Jaime dans La Femme bionique, Mike au cours de ses combats contre l'ennemi arrachait le visage des Visiteurs de l'espace et découvrait ainsi la vérité, derrière la peau se cachait une autre peau, plus sombre, une peau animale, reptilienne, froide comme celle des femmes-robots. Les apparences étaient trompeuses, le visage humain n'était qu'une façade, derrière la beauté se cachait la laideur.

Pour David Icke, qui reprend exactement les mêmes thèmes, George W. Bush et Hillary Clinton seraient des reptiles venus de l'espace. De tout temps le monde aurait été contrôlé par des reptiles ayant pris une forme humaine, afin de faire dominer le cerveau reptilien de chacun d'entre nous. Le plus inquiétant ce n'est pas qu'un paranoïaque psychotique comme David Icke élabore ce genre de théories douteuses, mais qu'il y ait autant de monde pour assister à ses conférences et adhérer à ses propos.
