It has always been my opinion that the universe needs balance. It is more than a spiritual belief, i

It has always been my opinion that the universe needs balance. It is more than a spiritual belief, its a way of life to me. I would probably go ahead and say its religious but I haven't found the corresponding Bible verse to back this up. I am pretty sure I am right because this feeling or belief, rings true in many other cultures, most notably the Chinese culture and there visual representation of this, the Ying Yang (not to be confused with Kane and D-Rock a.k.a. the Ying Yang Twinz).

Balance is lacking in todays society. This is especially true in our most recent cool name for the cultural sub group formerly know as "Colored Folk" or "Niggers"(notice the "er" at the end NAACP), Black America. I will expose this travesty against all things good in the world, but not quiet main stream, through music. Why music? Music is the longest running continuous historical record we have. Yes, folks all them slave songs big momma used to sing around the house while she was cleaning chitlins, are historical records.

Lets begin with hip hop. I recently did a blog on how whack it was for Ice-T (one of my lightskin heroes) to openly tell a 17 year old boy to "eat a dick". Shit like that is out of pocket. Quietly, I wanted to call John Soticil from NBC's pedophile dragnet, "To Catch Predator". If solider boy was like 22 , this snafu of gayitude would only require Ice-T to shout out "NO HOMO". The negro gods of all things ignorant would be appeased and this would be a open and closed case. However, Ice told a 17 year old to "Eat a dick". This lil nigga just got pubes like 4 summers ago. I would say a "no pedophilia" or "no Tevin Campbell" would be in order, but in situations like this I can only tell Ice, "that was a really poor choice of words".

Anyway Soldier Boy is aite with me. I downloaded his last cd. I liked it so much I went to the African dude at the gas station and bought my very own bootleg copy. I was snapping and leaning and shit. After about 1hr of that, my high wore off and I put on some CL Smooth. I needed to balance all that ignorant shit out. I killed liked 20 brain cells listening to this nigga, I need to regenerate 30. So let me put on something "time travelin" and "mind unravelin". Ladies and gentlemen what I did here was exercise balance in my musical selection.

I learned how to do this as high school student. Im from a country ass town with big aspirations of becoming a mid-major market. As a result, I got into all of the most ignorant music the south had to offer. Dont get me wrong, these guys were lyrical giants, but no matter how elequent you talk about killing a nigga with a AK-47, ur still killing him. I mean I had every Maste-P, No-Limit, UGK, Suave House cassette that came out for a 5 year swing. But damn Master P taught me how to be "ROWDY ROWDY AND BOUT IT BOUT IT". To BALANCE this out I listened to old Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One, and Nas.

As a adult I finally have balance. I can super soak all over a chicks neck and tonsil region. Then I can hand my beautiful black sister a towel and a few kind words of thanks because KRS-One taught me the importance of respecting my black sistas. I can drink 2 forties and go to the strip club all night, and then wake up the next morning to pass out breakfast to the homeless.

A blatant culprit in this lack of balance is radio. For whatever reason they think that just because I know all the words to Nelly's classic single, "Tip Drill" ,doesn't mean I don't think Murs 3:16 shoulda sold like 11billion copies. As a result we have a generation of listeners that have only received one side of the equation. Pussy, weed, and money. I personally love all three , and I encouraged EVERYONE to do all three at the exact same time, cuz mannnnn, is fukin, smokin, and counting money at the same time THE SHIT! Only thing is after you do that you really need to pray, purge, and read.

Gospel Music

Its my opinion that the one way to save hip hop is to make gospel rap a little bit more mainstream. If you really listen, it is better than at least 25% of the bullshit on the radio. This movement is of course being held back by the same folks who are telling me that there is no way in hell I like Lukes "Big Booty Hoes" and Blackstarr's one and, unfortunately only, CD. If they think that rapping about the salvation of our race is a problem they must really not wanna fucks with Jesus.

Its very obvious that the fear of a positive message is one big problem these people have. However, they are also a bit afraid that gospel music will all GAY UP their record label. This is a very fair concern. Not because all gospel artist of fudge packers and carpet munchers. Its because gospel music lacks fuckin balance.

Rock and roll has balance. On one hand they have Marilyn "i cut out my own rib so I can suck my dick" Manson (by the way that is a dedication to masturbation that a even stranger segment of society would applaud). On the other hand they have John "I dropped the Cougar" Mellencamp.

Gospel music has brought us... Fred Hammond and Kirk Franklin.

First Id like to comment that Fred Hammond has 5 haircuts. He has locks in the back, a bald fade on the side, a little bit before the bald fade is a tapper, and he has a shag on top. Somehow he appears to look incredibly strange in this picture. So much so the young ladies in this picture are almost overlooked. He looks so weird that If you told me the man in this picture was his "significant other" I'd believe you.

Kirk Franklin.....his shirt says it all. I wont go all out and call Kirk a flamethrower, but I will say he dont look like nobody I'd like to kick it wit. Would you really invite a man with a red satin, paisley, blouse to your house to watch the game? Hell no. The faces of gospel are just a little bit off. It is something about them that prevents you from sayin "I'm just like him". Note, I am very careful in requesting that these gospel artist use "no homo". Typically Kirk would have earned at least a "pause" for this picture alone. The reason they do not need to shout a semi-derigatory phrase to convince the homophobic world that they arent gay (you know, no homo!), is because they might actually be gay. Since gospel runs from sexuality (as it should) they remain very ambiguous. However, if they were gay i wouldn't be surprised. After all, everyone knew the one gay dude in the choir or playin piano in their church growing up.

Its not that there is no place for gay people or weirdos in gospel. I just think we need some balance. We need more regular people. They do not need to be over the top with their faith, because not every devout Christian greats everyone with "God Bless You" or "Jesus Loves". For some of us, religion is very personal and private. For people those of us that fall into this category, we need an artist we can call our own. For a brief moment R. Kelly was leaning towards filling this void and was doin a damned good job. But then he off and decided fukin high school gymnast was more important and we lost that.

Surprisingly I blaim the same people that prevent gospel from being mainstream for keeping it bogged down in some weird, possibly gay, non-cool abyss. They do shit like let Tye Tribbet or Tonex host their red carpet at the BET Awards. Looks at these two... come on! I cant relate to them. There entire message is lost because Ty looke like Rick Smileys character "Lil Daryl" come to life and Tonex....well wtf can you say about Tonex that his fukin picture cant.

Tonex look like someone took Shera, 80's rock queen Blondie, Cher, and Bruce Leroy from Barry Gordys "The Last Dragon", minced and chopped their looks into one being, and served it FLAMING HOT!

People this is an emergency. We really need some regular people in gospel music. They need balance. At very least we need like a militia of christian stylist and image consultants to swoop down on the gospel music world and spread of message of "What the fuck are you thinkin!"

Facebok/Myspace Profile

Balance, is today theme. I want you all to open your facebook or myspace page as soon as you get done reading this blog. Make sure you have balance. Fellas, if you fuck 5-10 times a week please have a Bible verse that coresponds to your sinful yet hopeful ways. Dont put up something about how "the Lord is your guide my footstep stray not from his path" because that is a fuckin lie. Put something realistic like "the Lord is my guide my footsteps stray not from his path, except when new pussy comes up, shit Im working on it.... dont judge me". Ladies if you suck 5 dicks last night dont talk bout "in my free time I hang out with friends from church, go to church, and have private Bible Study with deacon "Do Wrong". This would only be suitable if you put in the footnotes that by "Bible Study" you mean "go suck all of your church friends off".

No Doubt About It...the Bible makes many references that equate our walk with God as a war or a fight...the key is in knowing who the enemy really is...the real enemy is more than likely not the people around you...it's not even the problems that you might be facing. The real enemy can be revealed by cpelling the word out phonetically "IN-A-ME" That's right it's you buddy! Your biggest enemy is often yourself.

It's time to get fight ready...and this time take the fight where it really belongs...uh oh...the bell has just been rung...Come Out Swingin!

Yes, its been an exciting week so far and last week went to take some pictures with my friends along Asian Heritage Row and since it was in the late afternoon, most of the places in fact all of them were closed and only a mamak stall was opened. And here some pictures from the walk...:

Shafina and Abby

Moed Latif

Alone....

Anyway, thats for the pictures taken there, and as some of you all might know that this weekend would be KLUE Urbanscapes event at KL Pac in Sentul and in conjunction with that the KL Flickr group went on a 24 Hour KL Project and it was a time lapse project. 24 people from the group needed to take pictures of different parts of Kuala Lumpur in the span of 24 Hours and after all the pictures of each hour are edited and compiled into a video format to see the results of the pictures taken. And one of KLickr friends, Adi put together a video montage of the pictures that were taken during the time lapse :

And in Japan another group of people did the most craziest thing, they created a video using the same techniques and this was the results, and its simply amazing. The 1st video is the full video clip and the 2nd is the making of it:

The Video

The Making of Pika Pika Video...

That is how amazing the human brain can think and finally I want to show a remix version of the song "Septemeber" by Earth, Wind and Fire which was sung back by the revolutionary gospel singer named "Kirk Franklin":

Well, thats all for now till then...

The debut album of new gospel artist, Keith Jeffries’ is making news across the country. The album

The debut album of new gospel artist, Keith Jeffries’ is making news across the country. The album is titled "Living Water" and it continues the new gospel music trend of combining the sound of Rap & Hip Hop with traditional gospel music. This combination helps provide music and messages to youth who are attracted to the mix of R&B, Hip Hop, and Rap. Instead of sometimes negative messages that are found in a lot of mainstream music this new generation of gospel puts positive prayer, messages, and advice to popular beats and rhythms.

While some frown on this break from traditional gospel music many more have embraced and shown their support by contributing to record sales of gospel artists. Famous rap artists have been able to collaborate with gospel sensations in order to create gospel music for a new generation. "Living Water" has successfully incorporated the popular hip-hop sound into positive gospel messages successfully combining praise with entertainment. This new sound has helped attract today’s youth by appealing to their taste in mainstream music with popular beats while exposing them to lyrics that have uplifting messages designed to help the youth exceed in today’s society.

By mixing the positive gospel messages of community, respect, and love with music enjoyed by Rap and Hip Hop fans new gospel artists are able to teach and spread an inspirational message. Major radio stations and several Internet stations have been celebrating this new gospel style by incorporating gospel music into popular line ups. In the past gospel music was regulated to early Sunday mornings but now, in many major cities, gospel music is played along side top charting Pop, Rap, R&B, and Hip Hop artists. Keith Jeffries’ debut album continues the new gospel tradition by showing today’s youth, and even many adults, how to have fun while showing love and faith in God.

Early last year my wife and I welcomed the birth of our first child – Justin Carl Brister. It was a life changing event. Through fatherhood, God is making everything else make sense. I’m getting a deeper understanding of our Father’s love through the love I have for my son.

Though Justin isn't saying words yet – he’s already making music. He loves singing and making up his own songs. ( hmm…I wonder where he got that from!!!). Often as I drive, my son will start to sing and laugh as if he doesn’t have a care in this world because he knows his dad is at the wheel. When I hear him singing, I begin to smile every time. Then one day the Lord tapped me on the shoulder and asked me an interesting question. "If my “Heavenly Dad” is at the wheel, why do I spend so much time worrying?" As my son continued to hold his own "concert" in the back seat, I finally understood what the Lord was trying to get me to see.

God was using my son’s singing to remind me of what I’m supposed to be like as His child. Instead of worrying or stressing out about things in life, I’m supposed to sit back, enjoy the ride, and sing songs of joy knowing that Aba-Daddy’s got this all under control.

The same way I smile when my son starts singing is how my Heavenly Father smiles when I relax and sing songs to Him. Listening to my son sing without a care helps me to see how pure, simple, uncomplicated and stress free our Father meant for life to be. It was the ultimate singing lesson.

In September of this year, my wife and I are expecting the birth of our SECOND child!!! (I’m sure I’ll get a few more “singing lessons” with an “almost” 2 year old and newborn around…lol.) We are looking forward to experiencing all that God will teach us through both of our children. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads and “mom-dads” out there. Remember to keep singing! Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!!! (It doesn’t have to sound good to anyone else…lol) Visit Carl's website at www.agape-musicworks.com/carlb for a special "Father & Son Photo Gallery & Slideshow"

Now behold the Lamb
the Precious Lamb of God
born into sin that I may live again
the Precious Lamb of God (2x)

Holy is the Lamb
the Precious of God
Why You love me so, Lord
I shall never know
the Precious lamb of God (2X)

Now behold the Lamb
the Precious Lamb of God
Born into sin that I may live again
He's the precious Lamb of God

When I always didn't do right
I went left, He told me to go right
But I'm standing right here
in the midst of my tears, Lord
I claim You to be the Lamb of God

Thank You for the Lamb
the Precious Lamb of God
Because of Your grace
I can finish this race
the Precious Lamb of God

Even when I broke Your heart
my sins tore us apart
But I'm standing right here
in the midst of my tears
I claim You to be the Lamb of God

New life can begin (yeah),
for You washed away, washed away every one of my sins
Whom the Son sets free, is truly free indeed
Lord, I claim You to be the Lamb of God

Oh Oh Oh

Why You love me so, Lord
I shall never know
the Precious Lamb of God

Oh Oh Oh

Why You love me so, Lord
I shall never know
the Precious Lamb of God

Bendito é o Cordeiro

Bendito é o Cordeiro
Precioso Cordeiro de Deus
Se fez pecador pra eu renascer
Precioso Cordeiro de Deus

Santo é Cordeiro
Precioso Cordeiro de Deus
O Seu grande amor jamais vou entender
Precioso Cordeiro de Deus

Solo
Bendito é o Cordeiro
Precioso Cordeiro de Deus
Se fez pecador pra eu renascer
Precioso Cordeiro de Deus

Quando eu não sabia aonde ir
O seu caminho Ele me mostrou
Mas permaceço aqui
chorando aos Seus pés
Sou grato ao Cordeiro de Deus

Sou grato ao Cordeiro
Precioso Cordeiro de Deus
Só por Teu amor eu vou prosseguir
Precioso Cordeiro de Deus

Solo
E mesmo quando eu Te magoei
E o meu pecado nos separou
Mas permaceço aqui
chorando aos Seus pés
Sou grato ao Cordeiro de Deus

Nova vida posso começar
Pois me lavou,
Sim me lavou dos meus pecados
Se Ele te livrar, liberto estarás
Precioso Cordeiro de Deus

Oh Oh Oh
Oh Oh Oh
O Seu grande amor jamais vou entender
O Seu grande amor jamais vou entender
O Seu grande amor jamais vou entender

Me faz Te amar mais

Eu nunca soube
Que eu poderia ser tão feliz
Eu nunca soube

Eu nunca soube
Que eu poderia ser tão feliz
Eu nunca soube
Eu seria tão seguro
Por causa do seu amor
Vida tem um novo sentido
Será um dia mais iluminado, um dia mais iluminado

Nada se compara
À felicidade que Você traz
Um caso de amor eterno
Jesus, minha vida jamais será a mesma
Eu achei alguém que realmente se importa

These are not my words, but I dig the song. Many sons have similar HEART ACHES. A father don't have to absent to be a bad father, just absent-minded. The name of the song is called "A Whole Nation" by Kirk Franklin featuring Donovan Owens (11 years old). This song is not a Jesus glorifying song in and of itself, but if you put your spiritual ears to the ground...you can see where the love of Father God can come and cover the multitude of sin. So I will only cut and paste parts here:

When you look out of your window
Tell me what do you see
If it's a world without a father
Then you're looking at me
My respect to the mother's that be holdin it down
But it sure would be nice to have my daddy around.

All I need is one mic (one mic)
I know you can see
I'm not a rapper
But there's some dudes that are just like me
Everytime you took a picture with you and your family
It was only two people and it's supposed to be 3
It's supposed to be me asking
(Why's the sky blue when I grow up I wanna be like you)
Yo daddy can you teach me how to
(Tie my shoes can I go with you to work so I can see what you do?)
Lemme see what you do
So I can love my kids too
But you didn't stick around was that too much to ask of you?
Too much to get a blueprint? (No)
Too much to show the way? (No)
That's the reason why this building is not finished still today (We're lost boys)
So you wanna believe that (My daddy's coming back he didn't forget about me)
Like a child after school
You sit and you wait (I know he's gonna come)
My dad is 78.

For 11 years I've been living here
I've seen mamma cry more than 11 tears
Watchin mamma see daddy while he slips away
Does Jesus really hear kids when they pray?

Mama's working 2 jobs
She can't do it alone
She shouldn't have to she didn't get "pregnant" on her own
And I know that baby's mamma drama
Brothas it's real
But before you close the door
Don't forget how it feels
Remember

Daddy missed my game and I made a touchdown
I won the talent show but you weren't around
If a girl breaks my heart what do I do with this pain (and one more thing daddy)
Can you tell me my name? I need my daddy!

Tonex Claims That Michael Jackson And Benny Hinn Have The Same Anointing

I mentioned this earlier in On Needing That Anointing Christianity but I decided to give it its ow

I mentioned this earlier in On Needing That Anointing Christianity but I decided to give it its own post for the benefit of the Tonex fans that feel the need to come to this site and defend the fellow from time to time in the hopes that they will realize that their loyalty to this fellow is misplaced. Incidentally, please know that Tonex, after retiring from gospel music because he wasn't making enough money in it (like the pope's admitting that he entered the priesthood because he wanted a nice car Tonex freely admitted this on one of his many websites that he keeps creating and deleting), found employment with Michael Jackson as a music producer. That, er, MIGHT EXPLAIN Tonex's endorsement of the Jehovah's Witness homosexual child molester Jackson as possessing the gifts of the Holy Spirit and using them to edify and minister to people (as opposed to corrupting small boys).

You know, when I owned Tonex's Out Tha Box concert DVD (which I finally located a few days ago after MONTHS of not being able to find it, and then immediately threw it out with the trash), one of my favorite tracks on it was "Pole Position", where he gave a brilliantly crafted and delivered piece of oratory (seriously, the fellow is extremely talented!) exhorting the prosperity/Word of Faith doctrine on how if one continued to tithe and give offerings year after year even through times of great financial distress, eventually God would remember and bless you. He used an analogy with the popular Monopoly board game (I am not making this up!) stating that if you just kept rolling the dice, rolling the dice by being faithful in the prosperity/Word of Faith apostolic doctrines, and eventually you would hit Boardwalk, your big payday.

But alas, it appears from Tonex's own life that said doctrines have a price, the least of which is having to go on a Christian television show and promote not only Benny Hinn (and please recall that Tonex was also an associate of Eddie Long, calling him a "spiritual father" ... funny how these Roman Catholic references keep slipping into this Pentecostal madness) but a known homosexual pedophile. That is the truly sad thing: EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT MICHAEL JACKSON IS A HOMOSEXUAL PEDOPHILE, AND YET IT IS PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE FOR A PASTOR AND GOSPEL ARTIST TO WORK WITH HIM! Of course, to be fair, Tonex is not the only one. Lots of gospel artists, including Andrae Crouch, used to work with Michael Jackson back in the day. The allegations concerning this fellow were not public then, but what did the "industry insiders" know? Then again, did Andrae Crouch work with Michael Jackson (among others including "impregnate a white woman and leave for the next one Quincy Jones") before, after, or during the time that Donnie McClurkin was sleeping with the men in his choir? Donnie McClurkin says that he is delivered from homosexuality, but that does not prevent him from pastoring and founding churches after fathering a child out of wedlock and never marrying the mother.

My goodness. At some point someone is going to come out and reveal what a cesspool some quarters of the gospel industry is. Then again, Kirk Franklin already did over ten years ago, and it had absolutely no effect whatsoever. The people are deceived because, quite simply, they choose to be. Which means that they are not being deceived at all. And that is why we MUST continue to pray for them, that they would be delivered not so much from the enemy, but from their own rebellious wicked hearts. I should know, for many sincere Christians, from family members to co - workers, tried to warn me about a lot of these people - including Tonex - for quite awhile before I was willing to let them go. So if God did it for me, He can do it for someone else! That is why we should never cease to pray for the people trapped in their own prisons of selfish rebellion.

By the way, how did it come to be that the black gospel industry became dominated by the charismatic/Pentecostal/COGIC/prosperity/Word of Faith types to begin with? Incidentally, a similar trend is happening with Christian rock and Christian contemporary music, as more and more of its artists are coming from the praise and worship teams of megachurches. But as for black gospel (yes I know that this includes acts like Martha Munizzi, Vicki Yohe, and JoAnn Rosario that are not black, I just refuse to say "urban" or similar) I am told that it is due to the "gospel music workshop" scene for which we have COGIC's JAMES CLEVELAND to thank for - and please recall that this very scene was very important to launching the career of one Tonex - but I am hoping that someone in the know might be able to tell me.

In any event, yet another video showing the depths to which Tonex has sunk (he has rather savvily had his "The Naked Truth" - related videos that are basically profane megalomaniac rants - including what some allege are self referential allusions to homosexuality - removed from YouTube it appears).
