(still 29 June 2008)

I still walked for another hour, I think, the thoughts were quite blurry when I walked out of the park (Maruyama-koen), and found traditional houses, ochaya (tea houses), and several little shops. Unlike Tokyo where houses and building were all westernized/modernized, this neigborhood of Higashiyama still maintained its roots.
Here and there I found statue of tanuki in front of houses (I wonder what message would this creature bring to welcome the guests?)

[caption id="attachment_104" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Another temple in the rain"][/caption]

I walked again in the hilly areas with narrow roads, almost no cars, and less people on sidewalks. As I did several times, I asked again with one lady who seemed to be friendly, which way I should go if I wanted to go to Heian-jingu (already started to think, did it really worth to go to Heian-jingu? with wet clothes and backpacks and souvenirs that began to weigh like 100 kilograms?)

They kept telling me to look for the big torii (shrine), which I would obviously see right away (and how did I get the power to translate that far? This time I do think God works in mysterious ways). But still no red torii for me to see.

[caption id="attachment_106" align="alignright" width="162" caption="there it was!!"][/caption]

I got out of the hilly traditional neighborhood and appeared on the urban and more modern neighborhood, with traffic lights on road intersections and all. And there in the faraway I saw a tiny (but huge, in real) red torii. Oh yay!!

So I walked towards the torii. Along the way, some more shops stalled my way. The one that I stopped quite for some time carried a classy collections of sport shoes decorated with sakura patterns. Some tshirts with original designs, canvas bags, printed with the head of a girl with flowers from 3D kimono scraps, and so many cute dolls, hair berrets in floral patterns, and many many souvenirs. I tought I'm gonna buy the whole store! (again, couldn't get a hold of myself... he he)

The girl that attended the store was really cheerful and friendly. When I forgot my umbrella in the store (which forced me to go back, when it suddenly pouring again when I almost reached the torii), then I asked her if she would want to keep my heavy backpack and souvenir there while I went to Heian-jingu and the museum of modern art (conveniently on the way). She agreed, and would keep all my things in the staff room, asking me how long I'd be. I said one hour (-ish).

I wonder why I was so trusting with her, but the way she attended me and the other customers of the shop somehow told me she was a good person (and in Japan, people don't steal, well at least AFAIK). So I let her keep my backpack containing my brand new USD 2,000 laptop and others. Whatever.. the backpack almost caused me permanent neck pain.

I walked, a lot lighter with only my sling bag containing camera, wallet, passport and a bottle of water. I took the time of having lunch while waiting for the rain to quiet down before, when I forgot to bring my umbrella in the store. And now I am happily skipping to the National Museum of Modern Art.

Could be my lucky day (still think that after the rainy walks in Maruyama-koen :P) , there was a Renoir special exhibition with collection from Le Musée d'Orsay, Paris, France. Wuoh... I went to the ticket booth and bought both regular collection and the special exhibition.

Pierre-Auguste Renoir (February 25, 1841–December 3, 1919) was a French artist who was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style. As a celebrator of beauty, and especially feminine sensuality, it has been said that "Renoir is the final representative of a tradition which runs directly from Rubens to Watteau".

From Wikipedia Renoir

There were quite a line to this exhibition. I guess rain don't stop the art spectators of Kyoto from attending this special exhibition. I don't know that much about Renoir, only that he is an impressionist artist, in the same era as Monet. But I recognize some of the works, from walking through the halls where the paintings were hanging.

The exhibition was in 4th floor, and we directed to the elevator. In the entrance of the exhibition hall, they provide audio cassette with narration of the artworks displayed. Too bad no English. Moreover, then I am stuck with French titles and kanji translation, so might as well just enjoy it :)

The Japanese people were very orderly. I never see anyone cut any line since the first time I'm arrived. And now, in the packed hall of museum, noone produced any noises, and no pushing or cutting into each other's line like we often experience in one particular country in south-east Asia (that I dearly miss right now).

The exhibition includes several famous works :

After finishing Renoir, and caught in a moment without canceling the thought of buying a Renoir book in Japanese, I took the stairs to the second floor of the regular collection. Seeing one Picasso (forgot the title), and some of the famous works, Japanese artist's work like the room-separation painted in a pool of koi fish (sorry no photography permitted).

There were also some 3D works like pottery and really awesome kimono (an emperor's ? he he). Somehow I felt uneasy of leaving my backpack with a stranger, then I cut the visit short, and head to the first floor where they have all the souvenirs of the museum. Bought several postcards of Renoir as a memento that I was here, and some mini-clear folders to keep the bills and receipts tidy.

Then I go on towards Heian Jingu, the destination that so hard to reach (seems like). I'll give you some pictures of the Shinto temple :

Another walk towards the red Torii and then went to the shop. My bag was safely sound, and the girl greeted me, making me felt slightly guilty for having bad thoughts about her. I asked her for the last time (since it's difficult to find a person who can speak english), how to catch a bus to Kyoto-eki. And she told me, it was just right across the street.

I waited for a while, not long the bus came (no getting lost this time - I'm too tired anyway), and then got there (I don't know how I managed with the already full backpack - some of the souvenirs I moved there to avoid the rain) and still one plastic bag of another group of souvenirs.

After reaching Kyoto station, I had to take the subway to the station nearby the hotel, which is Marutamachi-bashi. Now, the challenge is how to get to the right subway platform. In the basement there was a department store, and everywhere I turned there were only shops, and no signs to subway. Hopeless, and the backpack is killing my neck once again, asking around, finally I got to the subway. Phew...

My friend already text-messaged me since I was still at Heian-jingu, so that meant that I was expected. I got into the subway, got off at Marutamachi-bashi, but wrong exit. (hehe, not remembering the experience of Takebashi.... duhhh) and then ask a really old lady where is the Gosho (imperial palace), because I just know the hotel is right across the imperial palace park. She pointed out the place.

I got a bit disoriented, and then found the kaban that I went to first thing in the morning before getting to the bus stop. Ah there must be the hotel.

Finally I arrived at the hotel, dashed to the toilet to freshen up (if there is any difference that can be made, my clothes was dry, rained on, and dry again), claimed my luggage, and dragged the luggage to front porch of the hotel.

There I finished one carton of Glico strawberry milk (starving), and one onigiri. Then rearrange the souvenirs into my backpack and one travelling back and one huge plastic bag. Then I wonder still now, how I managed with all these stuff to Marutomachi-bashi subway station and then back to Kyoto-eki.

I had a plan. I will drop the things at Kyoto-eki, in coin locker, and then I will go to Nara only with necessary stuff. Seemed that what I left behind at Tokyo still not enough, or I guess it was just my shopping mood that resulted into many additional baggage. But finally I got a coin locker, put 400 yen there and put most of my things there in one huge plastic bag.

Ah. Life is suddenly good again. Well, prolly not just yet! Gotta catch the train to Takanohara (station in Nara where my friend will pick me up). Uh oh. Gotta run.

T_T.... need more jacket....
Despite of those things, I hope i will enjoy this place...

Kalimat diatas pertama kali aku denger w

Do'oh.....

What on earth???

Do'oh..... kapok!!! kapok!!!

Hmph .... wkwkwk.....
Office hour sih jam 08.00 tet udah mulai. OMG!!! Saking parahnya, babe kita, a.k.a Boss David, pernah bikin tulisan gede , di-print di kertas A3, dan ditempel disemua pintu masuk kantor dengan tulisan kurang lebih seperti ini:

"XXXXXXX working hours start at 08.00 until 17.00 WITA"

12.00 WITA

Do'oh! I really need for job so badly.
^_^ Something that i missed. Meski dulu rada keganggu kalo mereka berisik banget!... Hehe... kenakalan yang dirindukan. ^_^

13.00 WITA

Udah selese makan.... udah refresh.... saatnya menemukan hal-hal baru.... ^_^
Sekarang baru mulai sempat nih ngurusin blog. Setelah bikin post pertama dulu, selisih beberapa bulan baru bisa post lagi ^_^ wwkwk.... keliatan deh seberapa rajin aku ngurusin blog :D

Keren bangetttt..... danaunya, gunungnya, airterjunnya, kebun tehnya.... ^_^

SORE (pura-pura ga liat Jam)

tiba - tiba inget kampung halaman ... What a Jember treasury!! Semakin malam..... pulang yukh!....

Hmm.... jadi apa kita nanti??

Gerakan gasing berdasarkan efek giroskopik.

Permainan selesai setelah semua teman ditemukan.

Hmph... Maaf,deh...

Sebenernya, aku ngga bangun terlalu siang sih.

Penjahit !!! tinggal beberapa hari lagi baju itu mau dipake buat acaranya A'ik. Semoga hasilnya sesuai bayanganku.

Cari kado spesial buat A'ik + Mimit (the Bride and Groom in soon). Kemungkinan besar mau cari lukisan "Rama and Shinta" ....

"Kayanya.... ngga memuaskan,deh...", batinku. "Nanti saja sepulang cari kado aku cobain...".

Rencana kedua!!!...
Bensin full, berangkat ke Denpasar. Rencana path yang mau dilewati : Kediri - Raya Kuta - ByPassNgurah Rai - Raya Sesetan - Diponegoro - Imam Bonjol - Nusa Kambangan - Erlangga 2. Lumayan jauh T_T....
Duh.... hampir aja!...

LAPAR!
Ya makan dong...... lapar kok malah curhat!!! ^_^

Fast forward Today 08.30 WITA:

Phi : Q1 2008 yang imut (bener ga sih??);

Press.Programming.Microsoft.ASP.NET.2.0.Core.Reference" wkwkwk.... nganggur banget ato jaim didepan Pak Ojong yah??? ^_^

Gyahahaha....
Laper ga??? makan yuk...... (Today 12.06 WITA)

Regognize the boy in the video that is sam, sam concepcion the brightest star today. Here is the lyrics:

parang.. parang..
magiging mapayapa at masaya.

Honestly, i just recognize that boy later today. And pretty bad that during that commercial which is well known for sam's rap i'm kinda boyish that i even imitate his moves and rap with him (hahahaha). I'm really happy that he is the boy in the ad that i even adore him even more.

Sam is not just a singer but an actor too. Watch this guys:

This movie rocks after it won the Bogen contest. I like the story and the high quality of the video.

That is why.

Entahlah... belum sempet googling... keburu ngiler...
: )

GRAD TRIP! During my last year of undergrad in 2007 the only thing I could think about more than being finished at UofT was the graduation trip that would follow. When most people think of graduation trips, what often comes to mind is backpacking for a month or two through western Europe. Not me. No offense to anyone who has, is, or will be taking that vacation, but after living in the west all my life and spending 4 years in a mainstream knowledge institution, learning about the historical sources of degradation, classism, global commerce and society, I simply couldn’t enjoy touring the spoils of colonialism. But that’s just me.

Instead, I decided to take the opportunity to visit the land of my ancestors and experience the place in which my physical features originated. Other than the people of the First Nations who are truly the only authentic ancestors to the land we know as North America, everybody here has come from someplace else, whether in their lifetime or in that of their bloodline. The motherland, in my case, is the Philippines. I am a Filipino born and raised in Canada, however, with knowledge of self and knowledge of right and wrong I’m not blinded with patriotism. I know about Canada’s history and how and why people who look like me are here. My community still experiences considerable discrimination and marginalization to this day, both individually and systemically, and I am not too ignorant, naïve, privileged or mentally assimilated to recognize it.

Like many others who are the first descendants of former immigrants I grew up as a racialized being; always wearing my ethnicity on my sleeve. And so, strapped with a critical mind, I first wanted to experience my people’s own culture and history before I did anyone else’s. They say the deeper the roots the higher the reach, and I was on a quest like Alex Haley. Plus, why not inject my high value Canadian currency into an economy that essentially needs it a lot more.

As it was my first time, when I touched down at the airport it was immediately a surreal experience. My initial reaction was one of amazement because for the first time in my life I was no longer a “visible minority”. Dumbfounded I reveled in the fact that everybody looked like me; I had nothing to prove. It’s hard to articulate feeling a sense of natural comfort in a place you’ve never been before. Metro Manila is a booming metropolis reminiscent of New York City. It’s massive. With 17 boroughs and a population of over 11 million, I was immediately overwhelmed. The highways and streets are rammed and everything’s bustling. Cruising through the city you can see all types of living on a spectrum that Toronto can’t offer.

Like 90% of the world, most of the relationships and dynamics between the rich and the poor are rooted in colonialism, and the omnipresent inequality is an aspect endemic in our neo-colonial world that can be seen everywhere on the planet. The Philippines, sadly, has had to deal with 3 major oppressors (the Spaniards, Japanese, and the Americans) over the last 400 years, and is currently being exploited by cancerous neo-liberal trade policies and US-backed puppet politicians.

From “high” society to the slums, I experienced all. Through friends and family I was privileged to pass through some of the most lavish places, from gated communities to the biggest mall in all of Asia. At the same time, through friends and family, and through volunteering with local NGO’s and advocacy groups, I was also able to meet with different community leaders in various neighborhoods to learn about and visit disenfranchised areas representative of the average Filipino condition.

I was also fortunate to travel around the country a little bit, including a backpacking expedition through the northern cordillera wherein I encountered the most spectacular natural sights I could ever have dreamed of: from hiking over a mountain into a small village without roads, to swimming underneath tropical waterfalls to treading through ancient caverns. Not to mention exploring serene and isolated mountain-top cities and towns, to drinking Ginebra (a Filipino liquor) with some local Ifugao (indigenous peoples), to lying on breathtaking paradise-esque white sand beaches. The highlight was learning about and observing first hand the stunning, magnificent and legendary rice terraces of the Banaue region, carved into the mountains thousands of years ago by my own ancestors.

All in all, the most impressive aspect of the Philippines to me was the people. Although intense at times, there was generally a friendly and laid back atmosphere and the hospitality was truly unparalleled. No matter where I was I could always be greeted with a genuine smile, even in the areas with the harshest living conditions. I could also find live music spots with live bands seemingly anywhere on any night, with an undeniable musical quality that was unbelievable. From the fiestas to front porches to the ubiquitous basketball courts, I was able to kick it and politic with people who genuinely appreciate life and sincerely find solace in the intangible and immaterial aspects of existence.

To visit new monuments, landmarks and gorgeous natural scenery is one thing, but to do so while seeing and realizing your own personal attachment is an entirely new life encounter. What I brought back with me was a richer perspective. I came back with more than pictures and memories; I received understanding, fulfillment and growth, and that’s something a million dollars or a token luxurious vacation could never buy.

Over the past 3 years Vladimir Romanov has overlooked his revolution. A stint that has seen 8 managers come and go and a host of Lithuanian's who have been ship in. He came in and was immediately loved by the Hearts fans. He saved the club from having to move away from our spiritual home to Murrayfield; an 67,000 seater that Hearts wouldn't even half fill.

He wiped the clubs debts by consolidated them in his own bank; Ukio Bankas. Everything seemed to be going well for Hearts and Vladimir who was exciting the fans with talk of the Champions League and splitting the Old Firm in the coming seasons.

His first three signings were a sign of things to come. He brought three Lithuanian internationalist; Saulius Mikoliunas, Deividas Cesnauskis and Marius Kizys. Miko and Chesney set the league alite in there early days with exciting wing play. We were the Chelsea of Scottish football; we had a foreign investor and wingers who could swap positions with each other. Things were looking up. We had also secured the services of Lee Miller and Mark Burchill. Somewhat of a dream team you could argue. What could possibly go wrong?

Well nothing yet. The summer saw the departure of Hearts Legend John Robertson as manager and Hearts were linked with a number of high profile managers; including "the tinker man" Claudio Ranieri. In the end George Burley arrived through the gates of Tynecastle and brought with him a host of exciting players. European Championship winner, Takis Fyssas, Rudi Skacel, Julian Brellier, Champions League and Uefa Cup winner Edgaras Jankauskas, Roman Bednar, Michael Pospisil and Steve Banks all joined him. This was added to the always solid backbone of Scotland internationalists Craig Gordon, Steven Pressley, Andy Webster and Paul Hartley. A team to truly challenge the Old Firm whose stranglehold on the top two spots has gone on long enough.

It couldn't have started any better either. Hearts were clear at the top after winning our first 8 games and being unbeaten in 10 including a win against Rangers thanks to a Roman Bednar goal and were getting a point at Parkhead courtesy of a Rudi Skacel's goal under Burley's reign. Hearts were playing the best football in years blowing teams away in the opening 25 minutes of games and fans were daring to dream that maybe this would be their year.

However things started to get complicated as hours before Hearts were due to play Dunfermline they released a statement saying that Heart of Midlothian had parted company with George Burley due to irreconcilable differences. The fans were in shock, what was going on. No one could understand why we had sacked someone who had us playing attractive free flowing football. On the day Hearts won the game 2-0 and the player's uncovered t-shirts saying "For the gaffer". Something was badly wrong. What had Burley done to upset Romanov? Had he dared to pick the team by himself? Rumours were rife with claims that Romanov did not appreciate the way that Julian Brellier played when in fact he was the glue in the midfield that was allowing Skacel, Hartley and Miko to attack at will. An incident in the Celtic game was another rumour that Romanov was not happy with his manager. Burley did not bring on Mikoliunas for Brellier and therefore settling for a point.

Shortly after this Romanov sack Phil Anderton and this was followed by the resignation of George Foulkes. These gaps were filled by Vladimir's son Roman and Sergetus Fedatovs. It wasn't only change in the boardroom but Andy Webster's agent announced that he would not be signing a new contract with Hearts. This spelt the end of his Hearts career as Webster was not to feature again for Hearts.

Suddenly we were searching for a new manager and the same big names came up. Ranieri, Scela, Matteus, Bobby Robson etc. Did we go for one of these high profile managers? Of course we didn't we hired Graham Rix, a man with very little experience and Jim Duffy to play the role of Director of Football. Rix brought negative football and naive tactics to Hearts along with 11 new players of which he had a say in about two of them arriving. He was quickly out of the Tynecastle revolving door and was replaced by one of Romanovs yes men, Valdas Ivanauskas. Ivanauskas had previously managed Romanovs other team FBK Kaunas but was brought in to steady the ship.

By this point results had turned sour and Hearts title challenge basically came to an end on new years' day when Celtic came back from two nil down to win three two thanks to some dubious refereeing decisions. Fyssas's sending off comes to mind when there were plenty of covering defenders and two extremely soft free kicks that were awarded. I know what you're thinking, typical bitter Hearts fan but we have had some shocking decisions go against us.

The title may have been out of reach but second place was still very much up for grabs. While we were faltering and stumbling over the line Rangers were gathering momentum. We simply couldn't let second place go. And we didn't thanks to a very special night at Tynecastle. A full house for Aberdeen with the Champions League at the end of it if we could win. On a tough night were you could cut the tension with a knife Hearts didn't look like they would have enough to beat the Dons. Fortunately the goal finally came from the ever capable boot of Paul Hartley who scored from the spot.

Vlad had delivered as unbelievable as it was. Ok we didn't win the league but to come second was a huge achievement.

Next up was the cup final against Gretna. The first time we had been back to the final since 98. Again it was a nervy occasion after Gavin Skelton had equalised from Rudi Skacel opener. It was backs to the walls and saw Robbie Neilson shoot to Hearts legendary status when he somehow tackled the Gretna forward when it seemed for certain that we would fall behind. It went to penalties and by this time no one in the stadium had any nails left to bite. But all's well that ends well as the cup came home to Gorgie for the first time in 8 years.

You'd think let's build on this. But, no this didn't happen. Lets' dismantle our team and bring in players who are not up to the same standards as those who came before them. Out went the likes of Skacel, Brellier and Fyssas, and in came Pillabitis, Ivacevicious and Karipidis. Fair enough Karipidis has come on to a game now but he wasn't up to much when he first arrived.

The season was a disaster on and off the pitch as Hearts crashed out of both the Champions League and the Uefa Cup at the final qualifying rounds. These games were marred by more bad refereeing decisions. Bruno Aguair was sent off for moving the ball an inch in the first leg against AEK which we had led through a Sauly Mikoliunas goal. On top of this Julian Brellier saw red for wearing an earring in the second leg. We finished fourth and therefore did not qualify for Europe.

This was the year of the Ricarton three who came out with a statement saying that Vlad had to stop meddling in team affairs. This lead to inspirational captain Steven Pressley and goal scoring midfielder Paul Hartley leaving the club for rivals Celtic.

The lack of Stability continued as Ivanauskas left the club due to stress. He was replaced by Eduard Malofeev who somehow managed to win no games in his tenure. The media believed that Hearts would be given a new Lithuanian manager in Eugenijus Riabovas but to every one's surprise Ivanauskas returned. He did not last long though and was quickly moved upstairs to become director of football. He was replaced by Anatoly Korobochka but he could not save Hearts season.

The season which has just passed has been an unmitigated disaster with key players such as Craig Gordon and Roman Bednar being moved on without any investment being put back into the squad.

So the question has to be asked was it worth living the dream for one glorious season. I for one wouldn't have traded that season for anything in the world. However looking at us now is embarrassing, we have become a joke and must sort it out.

Mr Romanov we need your money more than ever and a top class manager that you will allow to have full control over team affairs. It is the only way forward.

Inuyasha remains to be one of my favorite anime shows I have ever seen, second best to Rurouni Kens

Inuyasha remains to be one of my favorite anime shows I have ever seen, second best to Rurouni Kenshin. I constantly watch the encore run in Hero Channel even though I already watched it a long time ago. The anime is classified as ‘shounen’ – action-packed anime whose lead protagonist are usually boys, and often referred as ‘for boys’. Other shounen titles include Prince of Tennis, Death Note, Naruto, Bleach and many more.

The manga was written by Rumiko Takahashi, and I’m currently downloading the scanlated volumes from the internet (oh, I wish that I knew who were the scanlators to give proper credits, but unfortunately it was not indicated in the manga copy that I have). But to tell you honestly, I rather much prefer the anime adaptation than the manga itself. I don’t know how to explain it, but if you have seen the manga version, then you’ll surely know what I mean. I was even quite surprised that the manga won the 2002 Shogakukan Award for the Best Shounen title for that year. Uhmm, maybe the manga was really good (given its nice anime adaptation) and I might be too early to rate it, when in fact I only started to download a few titles and I am NOT even halfway through it! Can you believe that I only download eight chapters when the latest volume release was just this May 2008 which ended in chapter 554, and still ongoing? Tssk… it is a long-term project for me, to think that the manga is still released in Japan, though it is said to be nearing its final story arc.

The 167-episode anime adaptation was produced by Yomiuri TV and Sunrise (like Kekkaishi) and directed by Masashi Ikeda and Yasunao Aoki one after the other. Even though it was officially premiered in year 2000 (in Japan), but until now, I still haven’t seen a hell lot of a conclusion in the story. The anime adaptation ended in chapter 356 of the manga. So basically all I’m seeing all the years are the encore runs and replays all over again, but that’s okay because I’m not tired to watch them at all. But I just wish for new anime episodes, something to look forward to, or is it better that the anime is unended?

Although there were four movies produced, these movies didn’t serve as a conclusion to the story either, and their plots exist independently from the original story line. I recall the time when Animax Asia premiered these movies every weekend of the month, and I’ve seen them all. These four movies are (1) Inuyasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time; (2) Inuyasha the Movie: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass; (3) Inuyasha the Movie: Swords of the Honorable Ruler; and (4) Inuyasha the Movie: Fire on the Mystic Island. My personal favorite is the third released movie, the Swords of the Honorable Ruler because Inuyasha’s brother Sesshoumaru made an appearance in there – and he’s got to be the hottest antagonist I’ve ever seen in the whole anime series (laughs)! Even though I also consider Naraku as a handsome guy, but he is still second-best to my Sesshoumaru.

The anime was broadcast in Japan and in other parts of Asia in its networks in East Asia, Yomiuri TV, and Nippon Television. The anime songs for the series are licensed by Avex Trax. I downloaded quite a few songs, but I hope I can complete the whole set. I only downloaded Change the World by V6, My Will by dream, I am by Hitomi, Deep Forest by Do As Infinity, Unending Dream by Nanase Aikawa, Dearest by Ayumi Hamasaki, Grip! by Every Little Thing, Every Heart by BoA, One Day, One Dream by Tackey and Tsubasa, Come by Namie Amuro, Angelus by Hitomi Shimatani, and Brand New World by V6. I still haven’t found a copy of Shinjitsu no Uta by Do as Infinity, and Itasura na Kiss by Day After Tomorrow, as well as all the movie theme songs.

The story centers about the high school girl Kagome Higurashii, who was transported into the feudal world of Inuyasha through an old well. There she accidentally broke the Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four Souls) into pieces, which is utterly dangerous because any creature that would use these broken pieces in a bad way may be dangerous. Inuyasha, who was a half-demon also pursued to get all the pieces by himself, but he ended up pairing with Kagome in this quest since Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyou, a former priestess who stood guard of the of the jewel and Inuyasha’s beloved. There, the two meets Miroku, a lascivious monk I say, who asks every girl he meets to be the mother of his future children, Sango, a demon exterminator who is in the quest for revenge against Naraku, and Shippo, a cute fox demon. The main villain is Naraku who is responsible for the misunderstanding between Inuyasha and Kagome, Miroku’s curse hand, and the death of Sango’s family. Sesshoumaru appeared once in a while to add conflict elements (and he’s so cute!) but I know deep inside that he’s a very compassionate guy. Ha-ha!
