A:  NO MORE than 15 minutes per day of "DIRECT EXPOSURE" to the sun is healthy, and will produce "ADEQUATE" amounts of vitamin D for the body.

Q:  Dr., when you talk about "SUN EXPOSURE" to the body, causing skin cancers, are you talking about "DIRECT or INCIDENTAL"?

Q:  How many different types of skin cancers are there doctor?

A:  Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Malignant Melonoma, Merkal Cell Carcinoma, and T-Cell Lymphoma.

Q:  What are the differences?

A:  Squamous Cell and Basal Cell are "DIRECTLY" related to "Sun Exposure" (if these tow types are caught early - they're usually not deadly).

Q:  How are the other three types different?

A:  Melanoma has a "genetic" compnent, so therefore, it CAN be inherited and it is NOT necessarily related to the sun and it is "RAPIDLY FATAL"...IF NOT CAUGHT EARLY.  Some OTHER melanomas HAVE been noted to be promoted by UVA from sunlight AND OR sun tanning salon/parlors.  Tanning salons/parlors ARE using UVA bulbs.

Q:  Now, Dr. what about the other two skin cancers?

A:  Merkal Cell Carcinoma and T-Cell Lymphoma are NOT necessarily related to sun exposure, but can ALSO be FATAL.

Q:  Can these two be inherited Dr. ?

Project Outline:

To build a a deskop computer (PC) with an alternative cooling method whilst beng fairly unique and most important, practical and looking very cool! The general makeup of the project is a fishtank instead of a standard pc case, topped up with mineral oil. To some of you this will sound strange, other may not be so surprised!

Before we start getting to details, i would like to point out that i am by no means a trailblazer or inventor of this project and i want to make no claims to this effect, so i would appreciate no negativity/comments on how "so and so did that years ago" or "this is not new"

As i have mentioned, i was inspired, as im sure many others were, by Puget Systems Submerged Mineral Oil PC (Check YouTube for the video!) Again, please bare in mind i started this project shortly after they published their video on you tube(about 2 or 3 months later i think?) and i am pleased to see thatsome of the additions/alterations i planned they have now implimented too which is cool because i have re-assurence that i was on the right track!

The project is now finished, except for adding the mineral oil which i will be doing in the next few weeks hopfully, however i would like to share my notes, experiences and knowledge of the project both in words and some photos. I will then video the 'filling up' and post this for all to see.

What does SPF stand for and what does it mean?

SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor.  SPF value refers to a product's ability to block the sun's ultraviolet radiation. It is measured by the amount of solar energy necessary to cause a noticeable sunburn.  This means that when yhou use products with a high SPF, more solar energy is required to induce sunburnthan when you use a product with a low SPF.

What's the difference between UVA and UVB?

UVA and UVB rays are two types of UltraViolet radiation from the sun.  UVA rays penetrate deeply into your skin and cause photo damage and skin aging.  UVB rays are responsible for sunburn and are a major cause of skin cancers.

Do higher SPF values provide more protection?

Yes and no.  Yes, because an SPF 30 product will provide about twice the UVB (sunburn) protection of an SPF 15 product.  No, because it does not provide a corresponding amount of increased UVA protection.  And remember, UVA radiation causes photodamage and skin aging.  Higher SPF sunscrees should be used to avoid sunburn and not be used to prolong sun exposure.

If I apply an SPF 15 product and follow that with another SPF 15 product, will that give me an SPF of 30?

No, SPF values are not additive.  If you use two SPF 15 products together, you still get an SPF of 15.  Remember, that all sunscreen products should be applied liberally to obtain the labeled SPF value.

Is it true that regular use of sunscreens leads to decreased vitamin D levels causing osteoporosis and even cancer?

No, adequate vitamin D levels are easily maintained with normal diet and minimal sun exposure.

What can I do to protect my skin from sun-induced damage?

The best way to protect your skin is to minimize or avoid sun exposure altogether.  If sun exposure is unavoidable, practicing sun-safe habits by daily application of skin care product with an SPF of 15 or higher, wearing clothing with a tight weave, a hat with an extended brim to shade the face and nect, and sunglasses to protect the eyes and eye area will all help reduce the potential for sun damage.

Artichokes (Liver and Kidney Specialist)
Artichokes contain a substance called cynarin, which has been shown to stimulate bile secretions. This helps clear out a sluggish liver to improve fat emulsification and overall digestion. It also has diuretic properties making it useful for kidney problems. In France, artichokes have been used to lower cholesterol and to treat arteriosclerosis. Research indicates that miso is protective against radiation, environmental pollutants and may reduce the risk of cancer, especially of the reproductive organs.

Wild rice is not true rice, but the seeds of a North American wild aquatic grass.
