DID YOU ALL SEE THE MOVIE JERRY MCGUIRE? WELL, IN THAT MOVIE TOM CRUISE WORKS FOR A MAJOR SPORTS AGENCY THAT HAS MANY CLIENTS AND IS A HUGE MONSTER MACHINE OF A COMPANY. DURING A GAME, ONE OF CRUISE’S CLIENTS GETS INJURED AND HE VISITS HIM IN THE HOSPITAL WHILE THE PLAYER’S FAMILY IS THERE. AFTER THE VISIT CRUISE WALKS OUT TO LEAVE AND BUMPS INTO THE PLAYERS SMALL 10 YEAR OLD SON IN THE HOSPITAL HALLWAY. THE SON OF THE INJURED PLAYER ASKS CRUISE, “DON’T YOU THINK ITS TIME FOR MY DAD TO RETIRE?” THE BOYS FATHER IS OBVIOUSLY A VETERAN PLAYER WHO HAS TAKEN A LOT OF ABUSE ON THE FIELD AND HE WANTS TO ENJOY LIFE WITH HIS DAD WITHOUT HIS BEING PERMANENTLY INJURED, PARALYZED OR WORSE.

TOM CRUISE LOOKS AT THE BOY AND SAY’S “WHAT? YOUR DAD IS A MACHINE, HE CAN’T BE STOPPED-NOTHING CAN HURT HIM.” KNOWING HE TOLD THE BOY A LIE, ONLY CARING ABOUT MAKING MORE MONEY OFF HIS DAD.

THE BOY THEN REPLIES, “YOU KNOW WHAT? FORGET YOU!” AND, THE BOY STORMS OFF BACK TO HIS FATHER. LATER THAT NIGHT IN CRUISE’S HOTEL ROOM, HE HAS A CHANGE OF HEART AND REALIZES THAT WHAT HE SAID TO THE LITTLE BOY WAS MORALLY WRONG. SO, HE COMES UP WITH A BRILLIANT IDEA TO WRITE A MISSION STATEMENT FOR HIS SPORTS AGENCY COMPANY-THAT HE’S A PARTNER IN. A “MISSION STATEMENT” IS AN EXPLANATION OF WHAT YOUR COMPANY IS ALL ABOUT, WHY AND HOW THE COMPANY IS DIFFERENT FROM ALL THE REST. IN HIS STATEMENT, CRUISE EXPLAINS THAT THE COMPANY SHOULD REPRESENT FEWER CLIENTS IN ORDER TO HAVE A MORE PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH EACH CLIENT, WITH SPECIAL ATTENTION TO INDIVIDUAL NEEDS. THIS OF COURSE WENT OR GOES AGAINST THE LAWS OF THE GREEDY, MONEY HUNGRY, CORPORATE WORLD AND AGENDA. SO, WHEN HE REVEALS HIS “MISSION STATEMENT” TO THE REST OF HIS COLLEGUES. THEY ALL SMILE IN HIS FACE WHILE OPENLY CONGRATULATING HIS IDEA, BUT THEN SECRETLY HE’S FIRED FROM THE COMPANY THE NEXT DAY. SO, CRUISE STARTS HIS OWN AGENCY WITH THE HELP OF ONLY ONE BRAVE WOMAN WHO BELIEVED IN HIS MISSION. CRUISE LOST ALL HIS CLIENTS AND WAS “BLACK LISTED” BY COMPANIES. MEANING, THE COMPANY TOLD THE REST OF THE SPORTS WORLD TO “STAY AWAY FROM HIM,” HE’S CRAZY!” CRUISE WAS LEFT WITH ONE CLIENT WHO WAS AN UP AND COMING FOOTBALL PLAYER “CUBA GOODING JR.”

THE REASON I’M TELLING YOU ABOUT THIS MOVIE IS BECAUSE IT’S EXACTLY WHAT’S GOING ON IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW. I’VE DECIDED TO DO THE SAME THING AS JERRY (TOM CRUISE) MCGUIRE. I’VE REALIZED THAT THIS GREEDY, EVIL CORPORATE WORLD IS DESTROYING THE REAL WORLD. IT’S DESTROYING OUR YOUTH, RAP MUSIC, AND HUMANITY AS A WHOLE. I’VE OPENLY MADE MY “MISSION STATEMENT’S” WITH A “S,” ON MY HNIC2 ALBUM, IN MY BLOGS, AND I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS SINCE MOBB DEEP’S “HELL ON EARTH.” BUT, NOW IN 2008, I FULLY OVERSTAND MY MISSION AND I CAN ARTICULATE ITS PURPOSE BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE. I’D RATHER HAVE 200 THOUSAND OR 500 THOUSAND STRONG SUPPORTERS BUYING MY MUSIC AND PRODUCT-LESS IS MORE. IF I ONLY SELL 100 THOUSAND ALBUMS, THEN ME AND MY 100 THOUSAND SUPPORTERS WILL COMPLETE THE MISSION I’M NO LONGER INTO GREED. I DON’T WANT FANS ANYMORE, BECAUSE THE DEFINITION OF A FAN IS A FANATIC. THE PEOPLE WHO BUY MY PRODUCT AND RIDE WITH ME ARE MY SUPPORTERS NOT FANATICS. A FANATIC IS SIMILAR TO A LUNATIC, A PERSON WHO IS OUT OF THEIR SANITY. IT HAS GROWN TO INFILTRATE CORPORATE AMERICA AND THAT’S GOOD, BUT ONLY IF IT STAYS GROUNDED. IT’S BRANCHES CAN REACH THREW THE WINDOW’S OF CORPORATE SKYSCRAPERS. YET, ITS ROOTS MUST REMAIN DEEPLY IMBEDDED IN THE HOOD AND HE ROOTS MUST REMAIN THE MOST IMPORTANT, INFLUENTIAL PART OF IT ALL.

IT’S TIME TO MANICURE THE RAP TREE AND TIME TO CLIP A BUNCH OF UNWANTED, UNPLEASANT, ANNOYING ASS BRANCHES AND MOSTLY THE ONES THAT HAVE REACHED THOSE CORPORATE WINDOWS, BECAUSE IT’S POISIONING THE REST OF THE TREE– IT’S EFFECTING AND INFECTING THE ROOT LIKE CANCER.

With a new CNN album on the way Queens bred rapper Noreaga knew he had to do something to put his name in the headlines. So he took off his shirt. In this SOHH exclusive N.O.R.E explains how Rick Ross inspired him to bare his belly for the blogs.

“Hip-Hop on the internet is really based on beef and a bad history,” he told SOHH. “I don’t really have that. I don’t have beef with any other rapper.”

“I said, ‘I know a way that I could get the bloggers and the sites to start talking.’ So I took my shirt off,” he continued. “I took my shirt off to [give] people something to laugh about, to [give] people something to cry about but it made people talk about me.”

Of course, when N.O.R.E. released the photo of his newly acquired extra pounds, the blogs had a field day. Some even compared him to Ross, another big-bellied rapper with a penchant for going topless. Noreaga admits that Ross was an inspiration.

“Absolutely, I’d be a liar if I wasn’t saying that I was inspired when I seen Rick Ross doing it,” Nore said. “I thought it was dope and I thought it was fun and I said, ‘ You know what I can show off my belly too!’ Because as unsexy as it is to certain people, there’s a lot of girls out there that’s chubbychasers!”

Noreaga also used the photo-op to debut his new, iced out Newport box charm. In a quest to be creative and original, the rapper commissioned the custom piece.

“I just said, ‘Why don’t I just go all out and just get a pack of Newports?’ Of course, I put my twist on it and I called it the Noreports. People get a kick out of when they find out that it do open up and it do hold cigarettes.”

This fall, Noreaga and his partner in rhyme Capone will end an eight-year hiatus with the release of a brand new Capone-N-Noreaga album called Channel 10.

“When you watch CNN in New York City it’s actually Channel 10,” N.O.R.E. explains of thr title’s name.

“I’m just real proud of this album,” he continued. “I don’t want to say it’s better than The War Report or even The Reunion but I do want to say is that its on another level. It’s definitely bound to be another classic.”

Norega says he and Capone worked with many different producers to create what he describes as a “global album.” They even got beats from Black Eyed Pea will.i.am, though those tracks didn’t make the cut.

Channel 10 which features production by The Alchemist, DJ Premier and Havoc of Mobb Deep is scheduled to drop on October 21st.

Noch so ein Teil. Genauso großartig wie das Nas Mixtape. Auch DJ Swindle, dieses mal mit Mopp Deep mit ein paar Klassikern auf gemashed Bob Marley Beats. Sehr entspannt, auch wenn die original Beats schon seeehr schwer zu toppen sind.

Queens duo Capone-N-Noreaga are set to release their third group LP, Channel 10, this October, the group announced today.

The pair told MTV’s Mixtape Monday they’ve set next month as the date. So far CNN has recorded with Mobb Deep.

“First time it’s just Mobb Deep and CNN,” the rapper said. “We got Prodigy. We got him in jail on the phone call. We got him before jail, after jail. That’s it. We don’t know the name of the song yet.

“The record is about surviving,” Nore finished. The two duos recorded two tracks together so far.

In addition to Mobb Deep, DJ Premier, The Alchemist, Play-N-Skillz, Fat Joe, The Clipse, the Dogg Pound, and Maino also contributed to Channel 10, which will be released by SMC Recordings.

Other tracks on the project include “Hollywood” about the respective path’s each member’s career has taken them.

“”Hollywood” signifies a lot,” Capone explained. “People think Capone and Nore, we haven’t lived in the ‘hood for the past 12 years. So they think we may be Hollywood or La-La Land. The record is basically Nore telling me, ‘I never should have went there, but I had to do it. “Hollywood” is not Hollywood as you know it, though.”

CNN’s first single, “Follow the Dollar” is scheduled to be released later this month.
