Sorry the last post was so rushed. We were on our way out the door for a memorial service for Jon's grandpa in Modesto. It was a beautiful service and Jon got to see more of his family that he hadn't seen in a while and that I had not yet met. Most of the day was getting there, setting everything up, tearing down, and then getting back to Camino. Once we got back, we all rested for a little bit and then Ken, Linda, Jon and I watched The Other Boleyn Girl. Amazing movie! We already love Natalie Portman but, man, she was really great in this. I'm really surprised I didn't hear more about about the movie or her acting when it was out in theaters. But, anyway, we watched that and then a mystery movie and then headed to bed.

Monday was a lazy day. Yay!!! We'd been going non-stop since we landed on Friday so it was nice to just rest and relax and spend time with his family. Jon and I went down into Placerville to the chiropractor because my neck was really hurting and I didn't get a chance to go before we left. We both were feeling better after that and then we came back to the house and watched some TV with Ken and Linda. Then Tessa and the whole Friar gang had us over for dinner. It was fun to hang out with them and see their garden they've been working on. They've got a lot of great stuff growing well and 8 chickens on their way there that they will start feeding and growing. Fun! or should I say cheep cheep!! Which will then make groceries cheap cheap!! Brilliant!

As for day 5, today, (also Jon and Ken's birthday) we went quad riding up near Lake Tahoe in Eldorado National Park. It was beautiful!!! The weather was just perfect...cool but not too cold, warm but not hot. The clouds cleared out by the time we got there and the air just smelled so fresh and crisp. Here's some pics:

We're heading 'down the hill' on Wednesday to hang out with Chris and Janelle and their 4 kids Wed night then leave for Yosemite early Thursday. :) So excited! :)

Sabe aquele dia em que você acorda e pensa ' Droga tenho que ir trabalhar '  ?  Então hoje eu acordei assim.

Não é fácil não, liguei o PC e fui tomar um café.

Quando sentei na minha cadeira e abri meu editor para começar a programar me veio a mente ' poxa vou jogar um game online', baixei um jogo que não vou fazer propaganda e comecei a me diverti, quando meu Skype “toca”, caramba era um dos caras do projeto, se o cara soubesse que eu estava jogando ao invés de produzir, eu tava morto.

Ai me passou pela cabeça 'pera aii de certa forma eu estou trabalhando'' foi o que disse a ele 'aii cara bele, to aqui estudando um game online, sabia que agente podia fazer algo assim? Não me parece muito complicado '

Foi quando o impossível aconteceu:

Resumindo a historia, disfarcei uma brincadeira, e por fim acabei nem jogando só por diversão, estava estudando o game sem me dar conta disso.

Novidade para vocês: Pelo andar da carruagem muito em breve teremos outro projeto de game pintando por aqui, mas dessa vez será um MMO. Abraços a todos.

Muito foi comentado também sobre como serão os controles, por ser um jogo para PC estamos dando uma importancia maior ao definir uma forma simples de controle, por isso tornou-se necessário fazer um apelo aos leitores, pedimos a opinião de vocês.

(Coloquem nos comentários como vocês gostam de controlar os games que normalmente jogam no teclado).

Demos uma pausa para comer uma pizza ao velho modo (vaquinha), mesmo assim o assunto não cessou, voltamos aos clássicos dessa vez foram sitados outros ( Sonic, Mario, Nosferato e etc) assim como suas respectivas jogabilidades. Tem sido muito importante para nós seguir o exemplo desses grandes nomes da nossa infância pôs desejamos que o Castiçal Negro seja tão inesquecível quanto os jogos adorados por todo bom jogador.

One of these stories is great, The other one makes me kinda wish people would stop crying about religion...and i'm sick of the Vatican downing Dan Brown...they are mad because he wrongly portrays their church BUT if they would support classes like they have in Modesto then they wouldn't have a problem...but you have to learn about their religion and only theirs...which i can see where they are coming from but still its an effin movie people...yes it shows the murder of two cardinals and i could see how you wouldn't want that shown in a movie but and i wouldn't want that being acted out in my holy city...so don't let them do that...they could build a set of those rooms...but seriously lets show the world one of the worlds greatest cities not everyone can travel there and see it...the entire world knows that the Vatican does not go around killing random people...you all made that VERY clear after The Da Vinci Code hit theaters...

I really wish some people would grow up...stop freakin about every stupid thing that another religion does...stop freakin out that the city is paying for crosses to put up on the side of the highway...if you don't frickin believe in God cool...then a cross shouldn't mean anything to you...just ignore it...if you don't want to believe don't freak out and make everyone else pay for it...how would you like us to remember fallen highway patrol officers? Hmmmmm...just put i gigantic head stone on the side of the highway...then people could drive by and be like oooo i giant rock...lets put something up that means something...

And on a side note...the cross was used by the Romans waaay before Christ...

The Audience Choice Award:
The mathematical geniuses over at theforce.net's fan film forum looked at the sheer number of views for each film and found that Padme---a spoof mixing Star Wars and Juno together---was the most-viewed fan film in the running this year.

However, it would be safe to guess that the Challenge's judges will weigh the number of views against a flick’s percentage of thumbs up / thumbs down reviews (to vote for a flick, you have to give it a thumb...although sometimes I was tempted to give 'em the finger---haw haw haw!). Padme has far more views than any other flick in the running (nearly 25 percent more than its closest competitor, Jedi Gym), yet had a low ‘positive thumb’ rating. It’s a tough call without knowing the contest’s formula for divining winners, so as a result, heck, I’m saying it’s Padme. It's a cute flick, so a win wouldn't be undeserved.

The George Lucas Selects Award:
It's biggest award of the night, and it's chosen by hewhohasalreadybeennamed. Lucas has a history of going with comedies, like Pink Five, Pitching Lucas and last year's Chad Vader, so the dramatic entries are out. Typically, he eschews the "humorous genre mix" flicks, too, which means Padme, FreeJediReport.Com and other efforts of their ilk are unlikely to nab this one. I suspect that no entries created with starwars.com’s Mashup feature will win with Lucas, ‘cause they merely use his footage---they didn’t shoot anything themselves, which I’d venture would be a turn-off for a dyed-in-the-wool filmmaker. Similarly, the “all dueling all the time” movies like Ryan Vs. Dorkman 2 and Concrete Hustle are probably out too, despite their popularity, because they lack plots.

Then again, the Big Guy is often unpredictable (Greedo blaster shot, anyone?) so your guess is as good as mine. Accordingly, I’ll venture that it’s Landspeeder Mayhem, because of its uncanny similarity to cruising Modesto in a hot rod, circa 1963 (like I would know).

The 7-11 Award Categories:
There’s no categories with that name; rather, that’s what I call the mystery awards that haven’t been announced yet---because they’re usually categories of convenience. Many awards over the years seem to have been created just to fit the circumstances---case in point, Best Original Song, which was given only once, to One Season More in 2005.

If there's surprise categories created out of the blue this year, I suspect they would be for Best Anime, so that Star Wars: The Lost Faith and Manga Wars: Ambush at Beantoine can duke it out. Alternately, it wouldn't be out of the question to see a Best Duel award, going to Contract of Evil; Concrete Hustle; or Ryan Vs. Dorkman 2. I would also guess that given starwars.com’s big-deal debut of its mashups section last year---and the weak entries derived there from---there’ll have to be a Best Mashup award.

The Profound Closing Comment:
While this is the closest thing that fan films have to an Oscars ceremony, the important thing to remember is that all the movies entered into the contest---even the ones that got turned down---represent the creativity of the common man (or woman). If you got off your ass and made a film, then you've already won, simply because you did something, you made an effort, you tried to---as Bruce Cockburn once sang---kick at the darkness til it bleeds daylight. Or something like that.

Daje Simo', ormai fai parte dell'A.S. Roma, daje..

Simone Loria 32 anni da compiere è un centrocampista roccioso cresciuto nelle giovanili della Juventus, inizia una lunghissima gavetta nelle serie minori, fino a che non viene acquistato dal Cagliari nella stagione 2002/2003; nella squadra sarda ha ottenuto una promozione dopo due anni nella massima serie (67pres. 10 gol), e dopo un anno in serie A, viene acquistato dall’Atalanta.

A Bergamo, dopo un anno nella serie cadetta, si conferma nell’annata 2006/2007 in serie A, con 28 partite e 5 gol. A partire dal 2007/2008 gioca in toscana nelle file del Siena, dove forma insieme al suo compagno di reparto Portanova, una buona coppia difensiva; anche nella città del Palio, conferma la sua vena realizzativa, collezionando 35 partite e 5 reti.

Viene acquistato dalla AS Roma per 2,8 milioni di euro e percepirà 1,2 milioni lordi annui per 3 anni.

Guilherme De Morais Gusmao Arthur ha 27 anni, di nazionalità brasiliana, quest’anno appena arrivato a Siena è stato girato in prestito in serie B al Cesena, dove ha collezionato 25 presenze e non ha evitato la retrocessione alla squadra bianconera.

Nella sua militanza in Brasile al Cruzeiro, Arthur giocava titolare, mentre il suo secondo era proprio Doni, situazione che si ribalterà nella Roma; la società lo ha acquistato a titolo definitivo per 0,75 milioni di euro e percepirà uno stipendio lordo di 0,3 milioni annui per 2 stagioni.

Con l’acquisto del portiere verdeoro, la Roma 2008/2009 si presenterà con 3 portieri brasiliani:Doni, Arthur, Julio Sergio.

Sono un po’ pessimista per l’acquisto di questi due giocatori, Loria è un difensore discreto al livello di Ferrari, ma a 32 anni e per una squadra giovane come la Roma non penso sia l’ideale; forse creerà meno problemi di Ferrari nell’accettare la panchina e di buono c’è l’ingaggio che è nettamente inferiore all’ex parmense, forse i soldi risparmiati verranno girati per l’acquisto della tanto desiderata punta centrale!

Arthur sinceramente non lo conosco, ho sentito che a Cesena non è che abbia fatto grandi cose, forse è un azzardo avere tutti i portieri brasiliani, soprattutto se si pensa che la scuola italiana dei portieri è richissima e si poteva reperire ad esempio Storari tranquillamente!

Forse però anche per Arthur si è pensato molto all’ingaggio e si è cercato di risparmiare per l’acquisto di altri.

Mah, solo il tempo potrà confermarci certe cose..

Galloppa è stato ceduto a titolo definitivo al Siena e secondo me questa è stata una grossa cavolata, sentiremo parlare di questo centrocampista in futuro..

Nell’ambito di questi acquisti, Curci invece è andato in comproprietà al Siena, dove capiremo se è un portiere da Roma; insieme a lui, va in prestito anche Barusso, che potremmo valutare attentamente, visto che più che un giocatore di calcio, mi sembra un atleta da 200 metri ostacoli!!!

Ogni volta che guardo l’Italia penso sempre le stesse cose e faccio sempre le stesse considerazione ad alta voce!

Sarà perché noi tifosi romanisti ormai siamo “de bocca bona” vedendo l’AS Roma che anche quando perde ci fa vedere dell’ottimo calcio e schemi straordinari, ma le domande sono sempre le solite!

E’ possibile che tutte (e sottolineo tutte), le altre nazionali siano attaccate al loro Paese e noi invece no?

Per i giocatori russi, turchi, svizzeri, croati, arrivare in nazionale è un onore ed essere selezionati vuol dire, poter rappresentare con orgoglio e senza mai tirarsi indietro la Patria; invece osservando i nostri, sembra che giocare un europeo o un mondiale, sia quasi un’interruzione alle vacanze estive!

E’ possibile che l’allenatore attuale, Roberto Donadoni, non abbia dato uno straccio di schema a dei giocatori che tecnicamente non mi sembrano proprio scarsi e abbia cambiato 4 formazioni in 4 partite?

Non posso credere che giocatori che sono abituati a giocare palla a terra con fraseggi veloci e scatti senza palla nelle loro squadre di club, dall’inizio dell’europeo non facciano altro che crossare sperando nello stacco di testa di un Toni totalmente fuori condizione.

Ho visto lanciare il pallone in alto dalla nostra linea difensiva da Panucci, Chiellini, Materazzi e Barzagli, ho visto fare cross dal fondo da Zambrotta, Grosso, Camoranesi, Perrotta, Di Natale e Quagliarella, ho visto lanciare in aria spioventi alla “viva il parroco” da De Rossi, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Gattuso, Aquilani e lanciare palloni alti persino da Cassano e Del Piero, tutti a cercare con insistenza la testa di Luca Toni, che di certo è un bell’attaccante, ma che sotto il profilo fisico non c’era proprio.

Sembravamo la prima Repubblica Ceca, quando si affidava completamente ai 2 metri di Jan Koller..

Non voglio trovare un colpevole, ma di gente abituata a giocare palla al piede e rasoterra ce n’era davvero tanta e forse lo schema alla “viva il parroco” era proprio studiato dal buon Donadoni.

L’ultima cosa che mi chiedo è: ma perché Del Piero non ha battuto il rigore, era forse l’unico rigorista con esperienza da vendere ed invece..

R - Nella peggiore delle ipotesi, era quello di potermi bucare…ma rischiavo volentieri! Oggi invece è tutto più sofisticato, dalle strade che una volta diventavano campi di gioco nelle forme più disparate, si è passati a starsene con gli amici in un classico salotto…sempre a darsele di santa ragione ma su una delle tante console…questo un po’ mi rattrista…tutto ormai è cambiato.

D - Hai ragione…lo vedo con mio fratello, per lui un “passaggi e tiri in porta” con gli amici è una rarità, la parola portieri volanti non fa parte del suo modo di parlare, e oltretutto non mi è mai capitato di sentirgli dire: “chi segna l’ultimo vince” …altri tempi davvero.

D - Andiamo avanti: in quale sport ti identifichi di più?

R - Qualsiasi sport o gioco che dir si voglia che ci sia anch’io…a me piace, non mi tiro mai indietro… ma se ne devo scegliere uno…il calcio tutta la vita!

D - certo! La mia è stata una domanda scontata…tu li, sei sempre il protagonista…

R - Dai, non esagerare…è vero, sul rettangolo di gioco io ci sono sempre, ma sarei poca cosa…senza di te,senza di voi!

D - In che senso? E poiii…voi chi?

R - Voi come tifosi,voi come appassionati,voi come innamorati di calcio…voi siete i veri protagonisti…io e chi scende in campo insieme a me, siamo una conseguenza…

D - Una conseguenza?

R - Si…una conseguenza del vostro sguardo che non mi perde mai d’occhio, una conseguenza della vostra fanciullezza che traspare sui vostri volti ogni qual volta vengo stoppato al volo,colpito di testa,conteso,inseguito. D - Ti ringrazio per quello che stai dicendo…ma toglimi una curiosità, una volta in rete tu ne avrai sentiti di boati e vista di gente festante…te ne porti qualcuno nel cuore che ti ha emozionato piu’ degli altri?

R - Tutti…nessuno escluso! Ogni volta che ho varcato quella line a bianca, mi avete fatto provare un emozione sempre diversa, delle volte anche di sconforto…perché magari ero finito nella porta sbagliata. Prima che me lo chieda tu, te lo dico io…ebbene si, con voi tifosi della ASROMA ho un rapporto tutto particolare unico, antico, nostalgico, vero…con voi mi sento valorizzato!

Tornando a quello che ti stavo dicendo, nella mia vita rotolando qua e la, di boati ne ho sentiti…ma come i vostri MAI! D - Hai citato Daniele De Rossi…che puoi dirmi dei campioni passati ma mai dimenticati dei capitani di ieri di oggi e di quelli che verranno?

R - Ne ho conosciuti tanti, dai meno pratici hai più forti… Agostino è il capitano che porterò sempre nel cuore, di Bruno ce né stato uno…e poi tanti altri Nela, Falcao, Pruzzo, Del Vecchio, Aldair, Rizzitelli, Batistuta, Carboni, il capitano per eccellenza Francesco Totti romano e romanista, proprio come Daniele De Rossi uno come voi.

D - Ormai siamo alla fine, io vorrei ringraziati per la pazienza che hai avuto e per le emozioni che m’hai e c’ hai regalato. Concludo chiedendoti. Un tuo sogno nel cassetto?

R - Il mio sogno nel cassetto è quello di tornare a vedere più bambini nei parchi,sotto i portici e nei posti più disparati che se le danno di santa ragione a colpi di tacco,passaggi blandi, tiri forti o sbilenchi, alberi che diventano pali,traverse immaginarie; ed ogni volta che saranno chiamati dalle loro mamme a tornare a casa la frase che vorrei sentire di più è:“altri 5 minuti e salgo”.

Sono sempre più convinto che la passione per me (pallone) e per il calcio inizia proprio sotto cosi…

R - Come ti ho detto di calciatori ne ho conosciuti e di calci ne ho presi, ma a confronto quelli dati da Totti, il capitano sono carezze…

Qualsiasi bambino, fino ad una certa età non è capace ad associare il pensiero all’emozione…poi però ad un tratto tutto cambia, il pensiero diventa emozione, passione…sentimento; lo stesso sentimento d’attaccamento che ho per un’ottantenne che riesce ancora a suscitarmi sensazioni forti, a prescindere dagli acquisti, a prescindere dai risultati, a prescindere dalle azioni (quelle borsistiche)…

E poi? la passione e tutte le sue sfaccettature dove le lasciamo? non possono aumentare o diminuire a seconda se il titolo in borsa è salito o sceso,

se viene quello o arriva quell’altro, se si prendono o si fanno due goal…

L’AMORE non è calcolabile,razionale,vincente o perdente…
