Like I said before, while this does make the Brewers a threat, it, in no way, guarantees them the Division crown.  CC can’t pitch a complete game every time out.  It’s gotta be handed over to the bullpen sometime.  And that Brewers ‘pen is suspect at best.

Surely enough, last night, Ben Sheets gave the Brewers a chance to win, exiting in the 6th inning trailing by only one run.  The bullpen allowed the Rockies to blow it wide open, though.  This is from the MLB.com article recapping the game.

Sheets was very good on Wednesday, according to Brewers manager Ned Yost, despite taking his second loss in three starts after beginning the year 9-1.

So good that when the first postgame question was about slumping Brewers reliever Guillermo Mota, who surrendered four runs and let the game get away in the eighth inning, Yost eventually answered like this:

"Benny Sheets pitched a great game tonight," Yost said, ignoring the question. "He was on top of his game. Eleven strikeouts. His 'stuff' was tremendous."

Wow.....just wow!  When your manager is blatantly ignoring the glaring issues with the bullpen, you have some serious issues.  The Brewers better do something fast, or they won't even pass the Cardinals for the Wild Card, even though Mark Mulder is most likely done.

پی نوشت 1 : لطفا این همه آی دی واسه خودتون درست نکنین. مثل این که مردم عزیز ایران با یاهو عهد بستن که تا میتونن آی دی ثبت کنن و آمار بالا ببرن. بابا آی دی هیچ فرقی نداره. این همه بهانه هک شدن آی دی نیارین که بدجوری از مد افتاده. من از زمانی که وارد محیط چت شدم از یک آی دی کاملا ثابت استفاده کردم و تاحالا هم مشکلی پیش نیومده. گاهی شده که من از یک نفر بیش از 5 تا آی دی داشتم.البته طی عملیات هایی آشکار و در راستای طرح ساماندهی add list و adress book بسیاری از این آی دی ها پاک شده و به سلول ignore فرستاده شدند. از دوستان هم تقاضا دارم اگر احساس میکنن ID من در ادلیستشون اضافی هستش پاکش کنن.

پی نوشت 2: فرهنگستان ادب و زبان فارسی هم هیچ کاری نمیکنه ها. خسته شدم از بس نوشتم ID یا آی دی.

Why do you remove a a pitcher who is getting outs and who is capable of multiple innings? Well, naturally because you have "an eighth inning pitcher". Huh? Am I the only one that didn't know the roles in the bullpen were that well defined. As far as I could tell, we've been doing a lot of hoping and praying this entire year as far as the bullpen is concerned.

Why remove someone if they are succeeding to bring in someone that may or may not be able to get outs? Villanueva would have pitched "if it wasn't a save situation." What?! I don't give a rats ass about saves. If we're up by three, I want outs and I don't care who gets them.

Is that how you get to be a "players coach", by getting your guys stats? That's insane. This is the same guy who early in the year kept saying that things even out, blah, blah blah. If things even out, why do you care if it is a save situation or not. That stuff should even out, right?

Bottom line: Mota, sucked. It happens. Players have off nights. I do not fault Mota. Why in the eighth inning of a game do we allow a reliever to give up a single, a single and then a double? Wouldn't that be a good time to decide that Mota wasn't having a good night? One run in, three straight hits, but we're still up by 2. Tying run on second. Nope, let's let him work through it, and give up a triple to tie the game - without recording an out. Villanueva should have pitched at least until he gave up some baserunners, if that happened in the eighth fine, put someone else in, if he is able to finish the game without giving up the lead, great, less of a work load on the rest of the bullpen.

But first things first, theory classes during the week, which is an ultimate ugh with the exception of Med-Surg which I know will be everything I've always wanted. Exhaustion is taking over and shower now I must.... exhaustions never really stopped me from going out. Makes you really wonder why I have fainting spells huh? 

Thats my life so far, maybe tomorrow I'll have time to continue my "Where the wildflowers grow" story. Kiss me for inspiration!

Ahora viene la Romería, no os digo ná...

Vamos a ver, poquito a poco. Lo primero nada más llegar fue agenciarnos los sombreros de Tito's Feeling, para acompañar.

A todo esto, algunos se preguntarán dónde está este pueblo y tal, que ya es la cuarta vez que voy en un año y esas cosillas; bueno, mirad aquí.

Ya la Feria empezó el miércoles, que cuando llegamos por la noche, creyendo que no habría todavía gente, ya estaban allí los ToTiraos desde hacía horas. Al caso, empezó con un intento de botellona que se quedó en eso y nos fuimos directos para la Feria.

El jueves otro tanto de lo mismo; a las cinco y pico bajábamos para la Feria pensando... 'esta gente llegará más tarde... ' pero no, estaban allí desde antes. Bueno, a ver cómo explico esto... el jueves por la tarde fue un día malo, el tema ese del vino Manzanilla solo a mí como que no me ha molado, así que paso directamente al sábado (el viernes no cuenta tampoco).

El sábado... triunfo de día; un cafetito por la mañana en el Café de Benítez y después a la feria; el secreto es ese, digo yo, de Una a Una y rebujito, y no vale salirse de ahí. Ya están las fotos; y el domingo otro tanto de lo mismo después de ver los caballos andaluces bailando en la plaza de toros. A la Feria a comer y hasta la madrugada ahí.

Ha sido una maravilla, sinceramente, y la gente que hay allí en aquel pueblecito otro tanto de lo mismo. Así que ahora aquí está la presentación de las fotos y me quedan los vídeos que voy a ello.

Para los que no sabían hoy se celebra el día internacional de la Marihuana, nos imaginamos que la mayoría de los consumidores del producto no tienen ni la mas mínima idea de que existe. Es por eso que les queremos contar un poco de que se trata.

4:20 ó 4/20 es un término empleado en Norte América para referirse discretamente a la marihuana (cannabis) y por consiguiente, una forma para identificarse con la cultura de la cannabis. Frases como “420 friendly” -amigo del 420- suelen aparecer en los cuartos de las residencias estudiantiles indicando que los ocupantes son tolerantes con los consumidores de marihuana.

Esta situación es ampliamente aceptada desde 1971 cuando unos adolescentes (que se auto denominaban “The Waldos“) de la secundaria de San Rafael (California) tomaron la costumbre de reunirse todos los días a las 4:20 p.m., después de la jornada académica, a fumar marihuana al frente de la estatua de Louis Pasteur. El saludo empleado por ellos era “420 Louis“, término que se fue difundiendo cada vez mas.

Hoy en día, comúnmente, muchos consumidores asumieron la costumbre se fumarse “lo suyo” a las 4:20 p.m. Por cuestiones de transitividad cultural … se asumió el 20 de abril como el pseudo-día oficial de la marihuna, pseudo por ser un día “contracultural” y se eligió el 20 de abril por eso de que “4/20″ es el formato o notación para fechas cortas empleado por los gringos.

Como era de esperarse cada 20 de abril mucha gente se reúne, consumen y celebran muy felices el día de la marihuana. Debido a la amplia difusión que ha tenido este día se han creado la campaña 420 la busca modificar la políticas establecidas para el manejo de las drogas … especialmente se concentra en la petición de que la marihuana sea legalizada.

Inclusive se han creado organizaciones como NORML y MPP las cuales se dedican a luchar por la legalización de la marihuana exponiendo múltiples razones.

Tempos parents were divorced when he was four years old, and for the next decade Tempo straddled Puerto Rico and New York City, living alternately with his mother and his fathers mother, as his father languished in and out of various jails. The colliding influence of these two worlds congealed in 1989, when at age eleven, Tempo started to flow the reality of the streets over deliriously percussive Hip Hop beats. Tempo moved to Orlando, Florida when he was eighteen, rolling with Ghetto, Tom MAS Weisman and various street gangs while perfecting a unique blend of Reggaeton and Hip Hop. Encouraged by DJ Playero, and Mexicano Tempo went back to Puerto Rico where he built a devoted fan base to whom he was and is more than just another performer, but a leader whose perspective they share. At this time, to see Tempo live was to see a god like Biggie and Tupuc. Tempo recorded the seminal Game Over and New Game albums In DJ Playeros studio, while in his early twenties. On these records, Tempo defines himself an articulate spokesperson for the disposesed. At a time when urban Latin music was not thought to exist, both productions were certified Gold by the RIAA. I very nearly got my friend John, who finds the word “mota” similarly hilarious, a Mets jersey T-shirt for his birthday. But it didn’t make much sense last June, seeing that he played for New York, which at the time could have faced the Brewers in the playoffs (before they both, epically, collapsed).

“John, did you know there’s this set-up pitcher named Mota?”
“Yeah! And he was implicated in the baseball drug scandals.”

The irony! Guillermo is also the name of the parking lot attendant Jimmy Kimmel exploits in man-on-the-street sketches, to hilarious effect.

Imagine my delight when Mota was traded to Milwaukee for Johnny Estrada, who with 20/20 hindsight, is probably clubhouse-disrupting sack of donkey shit. Now I come to realize that when Éric Gagné was recording a record 84 consecutive saves, Mota was his set-up man. It seems to me if Gagné is going to have any success here, he’s going to need a hand from Mota. And so far, Guillermo has pitched not so bad.

Fun fact: Mota is from San Pedro de Macorís, a hotbed of baseball talent. Natives include Julio Franco, Luis Castillo, Alfonso Soriano, Sammy Sosa, fellow Brewer Salomón Torres and Johnny Cueto, the 22-year-old kid who is apparently the Next Big Thing.

I hope when Mota comes up to bat, his music is “Coffee Shop” by Yung Joc, from his album Hustlenomics. The song tosses out the word “mota” and is basically an extended metaphor for drug dealing from a fictional coffee shop called “Starblocks.” I find this hilarious, because I am immature, and probably a horrible person.

Sentí como la garganta se me cerraba y mis piernas cobraban vida propia, para alejarse lo más lejos y rápidamente posible de ahí. De esa vida. De esa droga. De ese olor.

Volví a ver a los ojos de la niña otrora engañada y sentí lastima, y culpa. Sobre todo culpa. Pero aquello solo era un momento más.

3 horas después, sentada en el camión me sentí mejor. Cavile demasiado en el camino, pensé en lo mucho que lo quería y en lo poco que lo merecía. Pensé en que yo no podría ser un escritor. No podría contar esas historias de dolorosos amores, ni jalarme los tendones en pro del dramatismo. No soy lo suficientemente mística como para ser una artista. Pensé. Y muchísimo mejor cuando sentí el olor dulzón del smog salmantino penetrar mi nariz y llegar hasta mis ya muy intoxicados pulmones.

Dali pra frente, Mota já tinha seu caminho escrito para jogar no Exterior. Após passar um tempo emprestado ao time coreano, Chunnam Dragons (onde obteve muito sucesso), o atleta foi contratado pelo ilustre Sporting Clube Portugal (Sporting Lisboa), onde teve a oportunidade dividir espaço com jogadores como o goleiro Ricardo (da seleção portuguesa), Sá Pinto, Pinilla, e os brasileiros Liédson, Rochemback, Tinga e Anderson Polga. Mas o impacto não foi tão grande no clube português. Assim, logo Mota retornou à Coreia do Sul, onde é idolatrado e lá está desde 2005, no Seongnam Ilhwa.

E o carinho é retribuído à altura por Mota. Em entrevista dada ao Korea FFT, no final do ano passado, o atacante demonstrou interesse em nacionalizar-se sul-coreano. "Minhas exigências pessoais para a naturalização já foram correspondidas. Quero renascer como coreano, e jogar a Copa do Mundo de 2010".

Contudo, sua decisão de jogar pelos Reds (como é chamada a seleção coreana) não foi tão simples, principalmente, pelo fato do técnico Vanderlei Luxemburgo, na época treinador do Santos, querer a sua contratação. Luxemburgo prometeu que se ele viesse jogar a seu lado, reforçando sua equipe em busca de títulos, ele poderia ajudá-lo à uma possível convocação para a Seleção Brasileira, já que teria mais enfoque nacional. Mota rejeitou a oferta, em vez ele prometeu dedicar-se a conduzir o Seongnam para um terceiro título consecutivo.

Nos últimos anos, tem sido duro para o futebol coreano. As campanhas nas últimas Copas do Mundo foram decepcionantes para a nação. Com a escassez de jogadores talentosos, a decisão da Mota têm animado muitos torcedores na Coréia. No entanto, a naturalização de Mota ainda está a ser vista como uma questão espinhosa e duvidosa, já que tratamos de uma sociedade altamente conservadora. É importante lembrar que Mota está há 3 anos na Coréia e o período mínimo para uma naturalização lá é de 5 anos.
