Sunday Best is one of the nicest things to happen in NYC this summer. The vibe has been electric with sounds to compliment from selectors including Afrika Bambaataa, Kevin Saunderson, King Britt and more. It was there we drank sangria and hung out with Benji B, we brought our dogs and kids, mingled in line for the bathroom and watched some of the best dancing ever.

Unfortunately we missed Stefan Goldman's spectacular set but we can imagine that party must have been one hell of a jam with all this wobbly foreign techno.

海の日のおととい、蓮沼2008に行きました。そしてようやくはじめてメレンゲを観ることができました。ライブはちょっと弱いなと感じましたが、やっぱり曲がいい。歌も音楽も心をゆさぶる。
そしてそしてそして。アンコールでなんとカッシーニをやりました。ぼくらにとってなつかしい曲とMCで言っていたので、きっとなかなかやることはないんだとおもいます。そんな曲をはじめて観るライブで。この歌はメレンゲの中でもとくにすきで。エモーショナルな曲もだし、歌詞が自分に刺さる。聴けてよかった。

Once Around The Block / Badly Drawn Boy昨日はまたまたまたDiefenbachの1stと、あとBadly Drawn BoyのOnce Around The Blockを買いました。これに入ってるThe Shining (The Avalanches Good Word For The Weekend Remix)がとてもとてもすきなんです。muxtapeに入れているので、もしよかったらどうぞう。もう1曲入ってるCapitol Kのリミックスははじめて聴いたけど、ふしぎサウンドでこれもなかなかすてきなあ。BDBは頻繁に聴くアーティストではないのだけど、自分にとって大事なアーティストのひとりです。

Album: alas I cannot swim

So I have been listening to Laura Marling for the past few months. I just have to say one thing. I LOVE HER MUSIC. She is only 18, but her voice sounds like she is much more older then that. Her songs are catchy with great lyrics. She currently has one album, Alas I Cannot Swim, and one ep, My Maniac & I. I own both ep and album and I must say there is not one song I do not like. Her songs are pretty dark and gloomy, but that dark style really suits her voice. My favorites from alas is shine, failure, cross your fingers, and ghosts. three mp3 tracks are down below.
