Orochimaru é um exemplo de vilão bem elaborado, pois além das características já citadas ele possue o fator, imprevisibilidade. Suas atitudes são tão imprevisíveis que em muitos momentos ele surpreende até seus subordinados diretos, como Kabuto, que por mais confiança demonstre, nunca está realmente seguro.

7 Hokage

I thought it might be fun to compare the 3 Sannin ninja cards in the Naruto TCG from Bandai (and partially Cardhaus).  Of course, I can't write a full article on all these cards without splitting them up into the different aspects of these cards.  Each week I'll post a new aspect of these cards to look over.  But this week, I will look over summoning.

What you use:

Snake: Snake have the best support when it comes to summoning jutsu...but that can be argued since you can toad-summon turn 0 if you get a good enough hand...Still you can't look over the fact that any Jonin can use their Jutsu (I'm tempted to use the turn 3 water satoosa who can only block with this Jutsu...) AND it doesn't look at entrance cost.  Amazing.  Only backdraw is the snake has the be the head ninja...of course given the stats of snakes there's very little reason to not want to be head...

Toad: So the toads tie in support with the snakes if you look at their summoning Jutsu.  They have 2 different Jutsu to choose from, their jutsu can be used by 3 different Ninja (One being turn 0-1; they can also be used by the actual Toads, but you most likely will have to use a card that negates their text before they can use these Jutsu).  They can summon without looking at turn cost, but not as well as snakes (and only from your hand).  Personally I prefer the rare summon, since turn cost isn't a big factor with toads.  Only problem: its a rare!

Slug: The worst of the three summons...I really hope they reprint a new Slug Summoning Jutsu.  This has the worst of all worlds: you have to have a specific ninja out (at least you can run 6 Tsunade in your deck thanks to the Fifth Hokage).  So like the Toad jutsu it requires you run specific ninja.  It also looks at the turn counter.  Plus the turn marker has to be dead on.  And it requires hand cost to be paid!?  Why did they give this card so many flaws?  Obviously its because Slugs are the strongest...or so you would think *snickers*.  The saddest part of all is this was the LAST of the three summons to be made.  You think Bandai would have looked at this and gone "wait...maybe we shouldn't not only make this the least desireable of the three summon jutsu, but at least not give it an extra flaw."  I wish I could have been a fly on the wall during that meeting.

What you Get:

Snake: So snakes get 1 "boss snake", and 1 "teen snake".  Manda has a huge backdraw, so unless you use Orochimaru [Reconnaissance] and Immortality Jutsu, don't expect to get this guy out until turn 5 or 6.  When you do, he's a beast (your team will have a power of about 12-13 given orochimaru's normal support).  Of course, he starts eating your other Ninja after a while...that can get pretty annoying.  Giant snake on the other hand is a nice card.  I wish he was "non-unique" like ANBU, but we can't wish for everything *shrugs*.  Either way, the fact he can be played in response to a pesky Jutsu targetting your head ninja means your Jonin with Summoning Jutsu are always safe.  Plus, if he dies you can always summon him back since he returns to the Bottom of the deck (as opposed to katsuyu).  Overall, two decent cards (but nothing to write home about).

Toad: Once again recieving the most support (mostly due to having the most air time on the anime), the Toads have 3 bosses, 2 teens and 3 minors.

Minor: The minors are the reason Frogs rule the "What you Get" competition.  Having a Turn 0 ensures more early table presence.  Which is good.  Having a turn 0 that can potentially summon if your opponent uses the more and more often used Shikamaru Nara [Formation] is even better.  Throw in the fact they lower the entrance cost of your high level toads, and its obvious why "Toad Decks" were at least a Tier 4 or 5 meta pre-"The Chosen".

Notice though that I said there were 3 minors.  And that I said this was pre-"The Chosen".  The 3rd minor has not been put up by Bandai yet, but his stats are as followed:

Wow.  Amazing.  So now if you get early battle rewards (easy to do as lightning given the high powered turn 0s like Naruto, Lee and Idate Morino, the Wasabi Runner.  And 2 battle rewards for a potential 9/0 that ignores the 1 ninja per turn restriction, has no hand cost and ignores turn!  Imagine getting that turn 2 or 3...of course if your opponent just uses Sexy Garaa or Over 9,000 your Gamabunta will disappear faster then you can say "I pass my priority".

Teens: Frogs easily have the best "Teens" as well.  They have the only pre-Boss summon with support (good in a lightning deck that frequently lacks such things), and a teen that, unlike the snakes, has stats while injured.  Sure he is +1 turn cost...but that's why we have Gamatatsu.

Boss: Gamabunta.  The big guy.  Ok, so he's a 9 attack power.  That's good.  His injured stats aren't quite as good as manda, but he can use his own summon jutsu for that support frog if he needs it.  The first two Gama are unfortunately...rather crappy.  There's so many ways to lower his turn cost, there's no need to play a turn cost 5 unless your looking for a turn 1 gama that doesn't require you to drop battle rewards.  And the ability to not get hit by opponent's ninja effects that remove him from play makes the turn 8, despite his high turn counter, my favorite.  However, if your using one of the MANY platoons (ok, about 3...and there should be a new one in the set after chosen...), the turn 5 is the way to go.  The turn 7 one is rather...lame.  Needing Jiraiya out ensures your at turn 5 or 6 anyhow (maybe 3 if you got a really good hand), negating the usefulness of his second effect.  Plus if your playing against a slug or snake user, they won't have their snakes or slugs out until turn 5 or 6 anyhow.

Slugs: Poor females in this card game treated worse than female characters in...well Naruto.  The slugs only get 1 summon.  Which shouldn't be too much of a problem since you can't use their jutsu before turn 6 anyhow.  But it is nice that they gave Katsuyu support.  13 team power nice.  And the fact she can attack without Tsunade in play assures that even if they defeat your Sanin, you'll still have that 8 value slug to deal with.  And thanks to the new Shizune [Intensive Care], if Tsunade dies you should be able to get her back semi-quickly (in case Katsuyu dies and you want to bring her back, of course).  Having 0/4 support injured is very nice as well...not as nice some may say than the 7 power of the above summons, but Air has always been support based anyways.  Personally I'm mad that Bandai made Katsuyu turn 7 and not turn 6.  Sure Tsunade is turn 6 (without Konohamaru), but using Tonton [pet] to get out Katsuyu and Tsunade on the same turn would be oh so much fun.  I hope Bandai makes the other slugs soon...even if they are un-named, that didn't stop "Gama" and "Ninja Toad" up there...besides, you could make them somehow "meld" into Katsuyu...that'd be neat flavor in my opinion (see the end of the article for the custom cards).

What They Can Do:

Snake: The snake only has one jutsu...its good, don't get me wrong.  Very solid; but every one of the summons has these "Pay 2 to do 2" kind of Jutsu.  What makes this card so good is the new Orochimaru can use this Jutsu...a turn 6 with no drawbacks that can do 2 Water for 2 damage...but this is looking into the Sanin Jutsu so...yeah...

Toads: The toads have the Standard 2 for 2 damage jutsu...but what's this?  +7 attack for 1 Lightening!  That's the cincher that makes toads the "winners" of the "What they can do" contest.  Sure your toad shouldd be big enough to deal with your enemies...but this ensures that they are REALLY big enough.  They also have "Bringing Down the House Jutsu", which lets you pay 1 lightening to injure an animal or snake card.  But honestly...that's a side-deck card at best (against Kiba and Snake decks).  Although, amusingly enough, it can take down The Nine-Tailed Fox Spirit.  Why did the Fourth have to sacrifice himself to seal away the Fox?  Seems like Gamabunta could have done it without his help...

Oh, but lets not forget their fire Jutsu...

Yeah, that's right.  Destroys every enemy ninja.  2 Battle rewards please.  Well, ok, not outiright destroy.  But unless your opponent is playing Air (for Shizune, Garaa, some prevention cards, etc...) or some other defense-against-direct-damage (Neji save me!), your shit outta luck.

Errata: Division requires and targets "Katsuyu", not "Tunade"*

Slugs: For once the slugs aren't last place!  They are...second?  Ok, well the 2 for 2 is good.  And technically having another jutsu is better than not (options=good).  But...negating damage?  This card would be amazing if it could respond to ninja effects (take THAT Sexy Garaa...).  But that's the problem with Division.  Sure its stops direct damage Jutsu (like the other summons Jutsu or Suicidal Action), but it only protects that ninja (so against Toad Firebombs, your other ninja are still dead), and your playing a TSUNADE DECK.  Tsunade is Medical and has some of the best Healing Jutsu in the game.  And even if your Katsuyu was going to die, its not like your going to miss her for long--she goes back to your HAND!  This card has some uses, but without the ability to stop most ninja effects (due to the priority issue reguarding the timing of ninja effects that is still not clarified very well on the bandai forums).  I personally think it needs an errata, since otherwise your Katsuyu is still affected by US-Formation Chouji + Shikamaru, or the substantially easier to use Gaara of the Desert [Tragic Name].  See the custom card section at the bottom for more.

*The misprint in early divisions makes me grin though.  Images of thousands of tiny tsunades jumping around...heehee.

Who They Can Group With:

Snakes: There are no "Snake" platoons as of this moment.

Ok, these platoons make me laugh very hard.  Mostly because the one on the left: that was released AFTER the one on the right.  Why:  I'll never know.  Only rarely will you want to flip a coin instead of discard a chakra...and if your playing toads, you should have another oil out anyways.  Of course "Role Reversal" isn't valid: so if he's injured, he can attack each turn without Chakra, Oil or Flips.  Which is neat.  But the second platoon is much better.  The platoon can still be hit by Sexy-Garaa though...

I personally don't know if you can platoon a platoon.  I don't think so...but if you know the answer, please comment here and I'll update my blog.

There is one more platoon that, for many, "makes" the toad deck viable in the next meta:

Wow.  Isn't that awesome?  Turn 1.  Can use Jutsu.  Decent stats.  Boosts your other Ninja toads.  AND -3 ENTRANCE COST!  That's amazing.  Imagine the set up:

Turn 0: Naruto Uzumaki.

Turn 1: Platoon, Gamakichi.

Turn 2: Gamabunta!

The fact all these platoons, can use Naruto Jutsu (Rasengan, 2k Barrage, etc...) makes it all the tastier.  Plus, the next set (or set after) we should be seeing something very special...

Card Spoilers (in Japanese; From the Carddas site)

That platoon is gonna be awesome...

Slug: The slug has a really nice platoon.  Its no Gamakichi + Naruto, but its still very nice.  Its immune to sexy garaa.  It has 3 mental.  It has great support and attack.  Its medical and medicine.  Its Sannin, Female and ...well immune to everything your opponent has, except missions.  Katsuyu's division Jutsu is very nice with this card, but I still wish she got an equivalent to "Toad Sword" other than Tsunade's Extraodrinary Power Jutsu (note: Gama+Naru has Rasengan, so hush!)...and playing it ensures you can't summon any other Katsuyu and/or can't use The Fifth Hokage or Tsunade.  But its usually a fair trade.

Support Cards:

The worst part about balancing these summons is that both missions that really are good to use with these cards in particular are LIGHTNING.  So, unless you want to multi-element, Toads still win hands down in this category.

Three-Cornered Deadlock really should be a Water/Wind mission...making it lightning just gives more support to the over-supported "Frog" theme.  Stormy Battle again is for whatever reason Lightning.  I guess it makes sense given the Nine-Tailed Fox is Lightning as well (another poor choice, but we'll get into how off a lot of the elements in this game is later).  Stormy Battle isn't really NEEDED in frog either, considering they have Fire-Bomb Jutsu...

And as long as you have 2 lightning missions, you might as well give Frogs a great exclusive mission too.  Yeesh.

There is 1 Jutsu that is great with Frogs too.  It lets them use Jutsu.  Meaning they can summon other Frogs.  Although it requires a Jounin, it lets you turn 3 Gamabunta without any of the Gamakichi cheese.

Frogs get an "ok" NInja support in the form of Naruto Uzumaki [Result of the Training].  But the best NInja Support is easily Orochimaru [Master of Every Jutsu].  His ability to use "Coiling Around" means Manda decks are the only summon decks with a "2 damage for 2 chakra" Jutsu that can be used by up to 6 non-Platoon Ninja in the deck.  Some will claim this just offsets the lack of Orochimaru/Manda platoons, but in my opinion it really does a lot more than that (given that now you can now split your "2 for 2 jutsu users" team).

Errata/Custom Cards:

First of all, make Stormy Battle Lightning/Wind.  After all, the card is referring to Gamabunta fighting Shukaku (although it can be argued that Gamabunta is Water...and Shukaku Earth...but ignore that).  I'd argue that Three-Cornered Deadlock should be Wind/Water, especially given that Toads get an exclusive "Draw 3 Cards" mission like that.

But what I really wanted to see was some more Slug support.  Mostly, some "baby" slugs.  So I made the following:

While we wait for the much anticipated release of the new Naruto manga chapter we'll start a battle, not of brawn or ninja skill. But rather one of taste. This isn't a question of who would win in a fight but rather who would you rather hook up with.

The first round pits Karin vs. Hinata. I think this boils down to aggressive vs submissive. Do you like the freak in the bed or the submissively shy? Glasses geek sheik? Or finger touching nervousness? You call it. Vote in the comments section. We'll update the score board from time to time on the post, so check back often and favorite us damn it! We're fucked up, but funny.

This is a bracket system type of competition so if you don't like either, eliminate the one you like least.

P.S. My vote is first and I'm going with Karin. She just seems like a super freak with a hint of naughty secretary behind those glasses.

8. orochimaru. sinong di nakakaintindi sa taong toh. kung tao nga ba talaga. parang si salazar slytherin sa harry potter eh trademark nya rin ang ahas. gusto nyang mabuhay poreber kasi gusto nya ma-awtlib ang mga tao, para maging malakas at syempre, para daw makita ang kanyang mga magulang. aaaawwww. kawawa naman. hehe. isa sa legendary sannin in ader words, may topak pero malakas. tingnan mo si jiraiya, mamboboso; si tsunade, sugarol; syempre si orochimaru, may kleng-kleng at power-hungry o gutom-sa-kuryente. hehe.

9. hao. kalaban na mukhang hindi kalaban. tulad ni sauron, mukha syang mabait at perst. sa totoo lang e fil ko talaga mabait sya. sila para sakin ang mga nakakatakot na kalaban, yung animo'y mabait pero hindi pala. kulang lang talaga sa pansin at pag-aaruga ng ina. pangit ang childhood kumbaga. waw, parang ako.

10. makoto shishio. mahal daw ang plastic-surgery. intindihin nyo nalang. aba! angaling netong batang to. kumukulo ang dugo! literali!

11. godzilla. panalo sa palakihan, pataasan, pabahu-an, paberdehan, pa-ingayan. basta sya ang pinakamalaking butiki sa balat ng lupa. mis-anderstood lang naman sya eh. pero butiki parin sya! distant pinsan ko siguro to kasi reptayl sya eh. reptayl din naman kaming mga pagong eh. simpleng pagong pah! pero hindi sya simpleng butiki.

12. grendel. hindi to yung kasama ni hansel sa hansel and gretel. gretel yun. hindi naman hansel and grendel ang taytel nung storyang yun diba? sya yung kalaban ni beowulf. yung pangit na halimaw na anak ni angelina jolie sa pelikulang beowulf. ahahahahay! angelina! crash na crash ko yung babaeng yun. hehe. naunahan ako ni brad pitt. mas pogi naman ako dun. mas simple pah!

13. program smith. virus lang talaga sya, may gusto kay keanu reeves. mabait naman sya sa lord of the rings ah. sya yung si lord elrond ng rivendell. o debah! fan nga ako ng lord ob da rings. ayyy! si papa keanu. hehe.. mas pogi rin ako dun at mas simple!

14. captain james hook. takot sa buwaya at galit sa mga orasan. lagi sigurong kinokotongan ng mga buwaya. pinutol ang kanyang kamay ng lumilipad na si peter pan. hindi naman nya maabot kasi lumilipad lang sya. filing ko gusto lang din nya lumipad. nahihiya lang sya manghingi ng pixie dust kay tinkerbell.

      The tale of the blond, spiky-haired, energetic Naruto! Naruto is a young ninja growing up in the shinobi world. He was long resented by his village in his childhood because his father, Minato Namikaze (a.k.a. the Fourth Hokage), sealed the Kyuubi No Yoko inside of him. The Kyuubi had attacked the Hidden Leaf Village shortly after Naruto's birth. But after twelve long years of lonliness, Naruto graduated from the Ninja Academy with the inspiration of his supporting teacher, Iruka. Naruto was then placed under Kakashi Hatake, along with Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha. Sakura was at the top of her class, and was very beautiful. This combination gave her an ego over Naruto, who had a crush on her. Sasuke discended from the famous Uchiha clan, he was the most skilled student in his class, and would soon awaken his bloodline limit, the Sharingan. Sasuke was the ultimate rival of Naruto, as Naruto was very envious of Sasuke's skill and the attention he recieved. As the team begins their missions as shinobi, the team encounters Zabuza and Haku. Facing these two 'Missing-Nin,' they learned that Kakashi was able to use the Sharingan in his left eye. Protecting Naruto from Haku, Sasuke awakens his Sharingan. Though this feat, Sasuke is defeated. In sorrow over Sasuke's appearent death, the Kyuubi's seal in Naruto is weakened by his anger. Naruto defeats Haku using the Kyuubi's chakra, and nearly kills him, but before Haku is prepared to die by Naruto, he protects Zabuza from Kakashi's thunder technique, Raikiri. There, Haku and Zabuza die together. After the team returns to the village, they learn that they are going to enter the Chunin Exams. They do, and during this time, they encounter the evil Sannin Orochimaru, who gives the Curse Mark of Heaven, a mark that gives him evil power. At the final battles of the exams, Naruto defeats Neji, of the famous Hyuuga clan. Sasuke battles Gaara of the Sand, but during this battle, an attack on the Leaf begins. Here, the third Hokage is killed by Orochimaru, and Naruto learns that Gaara is just like him, with the One-Tailed Bijuu (demon), Shukaku. Dispite this, Naruto is able to take on Gaara, and Gaara finds new respect for Naruto, his siblings, and love. Naruto then goes with Jiraiya, a Sannin who had trained him for the Chunin Exam finals, in search of the Leaf's next Hokage, Tsunade. She is the last of the three Sannin, and possibly the world's greatest medical ninja. But in this seach, Sasuke's older brother Itachi, confronts Naruto in the name of Akatsuki, to exploit the demon power within him. Itachi was the person, or one of the people, who murdered the entire clan, mind Sasuke. Sasuke has detested Itachi for this his entire life, and goes to attempt to avenge his clan there. But upon confronting him, Itachi defeats him barely trying, mocking Sasuke's lack of growth. Naruto and Jiraiya barely escape with Sasuke. Sasuke is returned home by Might Gai. Naruto and Jiraiya try to persuade Tsunade to become the next Hokage. At the same time, Orochimaru attempts to bribe Tsunade to heal his arms that were sealed away by the Third. She finally chooses to be the Hokage, and she and Jiraiya begin a fight of the Sannins. Tsunade and the rest return to the leaf, where she becomes the Hokage. Meanwhile, Sasuke is enraged at the gap of power between him and Itachi, and challenges Naruto to a fight. Just before the two clash with their strongest jutsus, Sasuke-Chidori, and Naruto-Rasengan, Kakashi stops them. Later in the day, Orochimaru's Sound Four visits Sasuke, and persuades him to come to Orochimaru, there he can gain power to kill Itachi. Sasuke thinks about this, and accepts it. Sasukra attempts to stop Sasuke, but he tells her his path is different from her. The morning after, Shikamaru is assinged to form a team to retrieve Sasuke. He gathers Naruto, Chouji, Kiba, and Neji. They all moved out and began their persuit of Sasuke. Each team menber battles their respective sound four, Chouji-Jirobo, Neji-Kidomaru, Kiba-Sakon&Ukon, Shikamaru-Tayuya. The former contain for Orochimaru's body, Kimimaro, arrives, and Naruto fights him for a short time. Then, Sasuke breaks out of his 'coffin,' only to resume his quest to Orochimaru. Naruto despreatley attempts to return Sasuke, but Kimimaro gets in the way. Then, Rock Lee appears and takes on Kimimaro, but cannot defeat him. And as Kiba, Shikamaru, and Lee are about to be defeated, when the Sand Three show up, Kankuro, Temari, and Gaara. Naruto catches up to Sasuke at the valley of the end. There, Naruto awakens his one-tailed armour of the Kyuubi's chakra, and Sasuke awakens his level two curse mark. They hit each other with the final attack, Sasuke's Flapping Thousand Birds (Chidori) and Naruto's Kyuubi Rasengan. Naruto is defeated, and Sasuke leaves to Orochimaru to gain power. Kakashi tries to stop the terrible fight, only to find he is too late. He brings Naruto back to the village, and Naruto is heartbroken that he could not save his friend. But he is determened to train until he can bring back Sasuke. Naruto completes missions with his comrades, and then leaves with Jiraiya to train to protect himself from the growing power of Akatsuki. The rest of the story is left for Shippuden...

The organization was created by Madara Uchiha, initially to hide himself from
the world and carry out killings without drawing much attention. After the
midway point in the Naruto series, however, Akatsuki's goal seems to change as
it becomes increasingly more active with it's presence felt as its members start to carry out the tasks needed to achieve
the ultimate goal - world domination. To achieve this goal, a three-step process
has been put into place. Step 1 is to attain lots of money to support the organization.
Step 2 is to set up a mercenary group loyal only to Akatsuki so that they can
carry out missions and build their reputation. The key here is that they will
charge less money than the established shinobi villages so people will go to
Akatsuki instead of the established nations for help. Then, by using the tailed beasts, Akatsuki can start wars and then immediately
put a stop to them, solidifying their reputation as the best and convincing every country to depend on them.
With Akatsuki getting all the businesses, the established shinobi villages would collapse
because they wouldn't have the money to operate. This would leave Akatsuki as the only major shinobi force in
existence and they could easily conquer the other countries (step 3).

Akatsuki is inching closer and closer to their goal with the acquisitions of
the tailed demons (also known as Bijuu). Currently, Akatsuki has seven of the
nine bijuu including the One-Tailed Shukaku, the Two-Tailed Demon Cat,
Three-Tailed Turtle, and the Four-Tail (the type of demon was not revealed). They
are currently in pursuit of Naruto and the Nine-Tailed Fox and need another
unrevealed numbered Bijuu as well.

As with Gaara and the One-Tail, the demons are taken to the Akatsuki hideout
to be extracted from the host (referred to as the Jinchuuriki). The members who
captured the demon are physically present, while the rest are there in spirit.
Pain in summons a giant statue of a monster while the Jinchuuriki or Bijuu. The members
take their stance on the finger of the monster statue which corresponds to the
finger they wear, and the Bijuu is extracted into the statue. For each Akatsuki
member, a Dragon-like aura comes out statue's mouth and surrounds the
Jinchuuriki, removing the Bijuu, and sealing it into the statue. The sealing process takes three days to
complete, and according to Kisame must be done in a specific order. The Nine-Tailed
Fox needs to be sealed last, otherwise the statue would collapse.

Akatsuki Members

Below are the members of Akatsuki that we have some data on.

	Tobi / Madara Uchiha First Manga Appearance: 280First Anime Appearance: Shippuuden 32Ring: Gyoku (Jewel/Jade) on left thumb Originally From: Unknown Miscellaneous Information: Tobi was formally Zetsu's subordinate. He has a very formal and correct manner of speech and wanted to fill in Sasori's position in Akatsuki after he had died. To his luck, he was eventually let in Akatsuki. In chapter 362 Deidara blew himself up and it was believed Tobi died as well. In chapter 363, however, a surprising turn of events takes place - Tobi is seen giving orders to Pain! It is revealed that he is Madara Uchiha, the real leader of Akatsuki, and one of the founders of the Hidden Leaf Village. Madara created Akatsuki as a means to hide himself from the world, using their activities to disguise his own plans. As Madara, Tobi's personality and speech become completely different, with a much less formal speech and a more typically villainous sway. Tobi's only known abilities are that he can let attacks pass through him easily, and that he has the power of the Sharingan.

	Pain First Manga Appearance: 238 First Anime Appearance: 135Ring: Rei (Zero) on right thumbPartner: Konan Originally From: Hidden Rain Village Miscellaneous Information: Pain is the assigned leader of Akatsuki, and is partners with Konan. He was told by Tobi/Madara to capture Naruto, and that because he is the leader, he cannot fail. Pain has shown us that he has as six different bodies which share the same mind, and are known collectively as The Six Paths of Pain. These bodies all have brown/orange hair color, piercing, and the Rinnegan doujutsu (which allows the user to perform any jutsu and manipulate all six types of chakra-nature manipulation). All six bodies are, in a sense, connected since they can share visual information seamlessly, giving Pain the ability to coordinate offense and defense of all six bodies as if they were a single entity. Each of the six entities that are Pain were ninja that Jiraiya encountered as he wandered the world. Some of the abilities we've seen Pain's bodies perform are detecting the movements and chakra levels of people traveling within the rain (that he has created), the summoning jutsu, ability to absorb ninjutsu as a form of defense and the ability to fire his left arm like a missile. Pain's real name is Nagato, and he was left orphaned by one of the Hidden Rain Village's many wars in his childhood along with Konan (who is also a Akatsuki member), and a boy named Yahiko (who is presumed dead). After one of the wars, Jiraiya met the three kids, and became their teacher for a short time. Sometime after Jiraiya left, Nagato started to view himself as a god destined to teach the world the meaninglessness of fighting. Eventually 'Pain' came into existence and single-handedly killed the Hidden Rain Village's former leader, Hanzo and those affiliated with him, and became somebody the village's people worship.

	Itachi Uchiha First Manga Appearance: 139First Anime Appearance: 80Ring: Shu (Scarlet) on right ring finger Partner: Kisame Hoshigaki Originally From: Hidden Leaf Village Miscellaneous Information: Killed everyone in his clan except for his little brother, Sasuke. Initially, Itachi murdered his best friend, Shisui Uchiha, to gain the Mangekyo Sharingan, but went on to massacre the rest of the clan, leaving only Sasuke. Seven or eight years after the Uchiha massacre, Itachi reveals to Sasuke that he had the help of Madara Uchiha, and the only reason he left Sasuke alive was to steal his eyes. The Mangekyo Sharingan brings upon blindness to the user, and the only way to prevent going blind was to take the eyes of one's sibling. With that goal in mind Sasuke was left alive to live hating Itachi, and one day possibly awaken the Mangenkyo Sharingan. At some point in time Itachi joined Akatsuki. The timeline that has been given throughout the series coupled with his age suggests that he joined the organization prior to killing his clan. Itachi is a genjutsu specialist, and can trap opponents within an illusion by merely pointing or looking at them. He also relies heavily on his Sharingan in battle, and uses them to reads an opponent's movements and respond accordingly. With his Mangekyo Sharingan, Itachi uses the attack Tsukuyomi to take his opponent's mind into an alternate dimension and torture them. A matter of seconds in the real world is equivalent to hours to the person under control of Itachi's Tsukuyomi. The Mangekyo Sharingan is more than just genjutsu, however. There is a physical attack associated with it - Amaterasu - a ninjutsu, which emits a black flame several times hotter than the sun's heat. Both the Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu take up an incredible amount of chakra, so Itachi tries to wrap up battles as fast as possible.

	Kisame Hoshigaki First Manga Appearance: 139First Anime Appearance: 80Ring: Minami (South) on left ring finger Partner: Itachi Uchiha Originally From: Hidden Mist Village Miscellaneous Information: Kisame is one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, seven powerful ninja who utilize large and unique swords. He has unimaginable amounts of chakra and wield's a sword called Samehada, which is a scale-covered sword that shaves things, instead of cutting them. It also has the ability to absorb chakra and prevent anybody other than Kisame to use it. Unlike most members of Akatsuki who fight with one another, Kisame gets along well with Itachi. He listens to what Itachi says and looks out for him, indicating he ha a human heart. Oddly enough, Kisame has a distinctive shark-like appearance, as he has pale blue skin, small white eyes, gill-like facial structures, and sharp triangular teeth. Like others from the Hidden Mist Village, Kisame uses water element jutsu in combination with his powerful physical attacks. Even if there is no water source where he is fighting, Kisame can use a Water Release Jutsu to create a lake's worth of water to aid him in battle.

	Zetsu First Manga Appearance: 234First Anime Appearance: 134Ring: Kai (Boar) on right pinky finger Partner: None Originally From: Hidden Grass Village Miscellaneous Information: Zetsu seems to have a split personality, as half of him is black and the other is white. The black half of his face speaks in a deep voice while the white side in a lighter voice. The two halves are often seem to talk to one another other and occasionally differ in opinion. This split personality might be the reason Zetsu does not have a partner. Along with having a "two-face," Zetsu's head is surrounded by what looks like a venus flytrap.Zetsu has the ability to merge the ground, trees, and other plants, which helps him immensely in his functions as a spy for Akatsuki. He also eats the bodies of people Akatsuki does not want found, such as spies and Akatsuki members who have been killed.

	Konan First Manga Appearance: 238First Anime Appearance: 135Ring: Byakko (White Tiger) on right middle finger Partner: Pain Originally From: Hidden Rain Village Miscellaneous Information: This is the only female member of Akatsuki. In chapter 363 we finds out that she is Pain's partner. Konan has blue hair with a white flower in it. When she was younger, Konan and her teammates (Nagato, and Yahiko) were left orphaned by one of the Rain Village's many wars, forcing them to fend for themselves. One day, they met Jiraiya, who stayed with them for a short while and taught them the art of being a ninja. Konan has a unique ability where she can divide her body into a countless pieces of paper. This paper can be controlled individually and formed into various shapes for a number of purposes, such as butterflies for scouting or random weapons for attack. Her weakness is water, as when she uses her paper abilities, the paper clings to itself and loses its stiffness

	Orochimaru First Manga Appearance: 45First Anime Appearance: 27Ring: Kai (Boar) on right pinky finger Originally From: Hidden Leaf Village Miscellaneous Information: Orochimaru not being picked to be the Fourth Hokage, led to him fleeing from the Hidden Leaf Village. He became an Akatsuki member afterwards, but fled because of his fear of Itachi's power. Upon leaving, he kept his Akatsuki ring, which is currently still on the hand of his original body. The apparent special nature of his ring, his knowledge of their plans, and his fleeing of Akatsuki without informing the leader have led to bad blood between Orochimaru and Akatsuki. He found the Hidden Sound Village and took Sasuke as his subordinate with plans to transfer himself into Sasuke so that he could have the power of the Sharingan. Unfortunately for him, his plan never fully materialized as Sasuke killed Orochimaru before he could lay his hands on him.

Sasori is a very skilled a puppet master and controls puppets in combat. He can even turn the living into puppets and than use their jutsus. After killing Gaara with the help of his former partner Deidara, he fought with Sakura and his grandmother, Chiyo. They had a fierce battle, and in the end Sasori was killed.

	Deidara First Manga Appearance: 247First Anime Appearance: Shippuuden 02 Ring: Sei (Blue-Green) on right index fingerOriginally From: Hidden Rock Village Miscellaneous Information: A fancy and skillful fighter, with special mouths in the palm of each hand, he is able to manipulate clay into either a flight-capable clay bird that can support him or a a huge bomb that is capable of leveling a village without the use of exploding tags. After Sasori's death Deidara was partnered with the newest member of Akatsuki, Tobi. The partnership didn't last long as Deidara blew himself up as his final work of art to try and kill Sasuke.

	Hidan First Manga Appearance: 312First Anime Appearance: Shippuuden 10Ring: San (Three) on left index finger Originally From: Seems to be from the Hidden Rain Village Miscellaneous Information: Hidan is first shown with a three-bladed scythe and says that he is the slowest attacker in Akatsuki.. He was a very religious individual and prays to his chain of prayer beads before a fight, wishing for nothing less than a kill. He believed in the Jashin (wicked heart) religion where killing is encouraged and anything less than that is considered a sin. He put his religon into practice by killing Asuma. Unfortunately for him, Shikamaru could never forgive him for that and killed Hidan using explosive tags.

	Kakuzu First Manga Appearance: 238First Anime Appearance: 135Ring: Kita (North) on left middle finger Originally From: Hidden Waterfall Village Miscellaneous Information: Kakuzu is the tallest member of Akatsuki. He is obsessed about money, and will do anything to get it. He also dislikes Hidan's religion as he believes that the rituals Hidan performs are a waste of time. He gets in frequent arguments with Hidan because they have two distinct personalities - Hidan is a religious type of guy, while Kakuzu is a money man. The only reason Kakuzu puts up with it all because be believes in the end it can bring him money. Kakuzu was heavily wounded by Naruto using the Fuuton Rasenshuriken and then killed by Kakashi.

Subordinates of Akatsuki

	Kabuto YakushiKabuto is a spy who was originally working for the Akatsuki member Sasori. Although it's currently unknown where Kabuto's true loyalty lies, he is currently working for Orochimaru. Deidara mentions that one of Sasori's spies has become a traitor. In a recent chapter of the manga, however, it appears that Kabuto is that traitor. At this point though, Kabuto appears loyal to Orochimaru, who had freed him from Sasori's hypnosis. He serves as Orochimaru's top assistant, taking care of him in his weakened state. His complex nature and tendency to do good things such as healing Hinata during the Chunnin exam (when he was disguised as an ANBU) have made him possibly the most mysterious character in the series.

	Yuura Yuura served as a trusted member of the Kazekage advisory council of the Hidden Sand Village for four years. In reality, he was a sleeper agent for Akatsuki and a subordinate of Sasori. He was used as a replacement in a shapeshifting jutsu, taking on the shape of Itachi Uchiha to hold off Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, and Chiyo from entering into Akatsuki's Lair while they extracted the Bijuu out of of Gaara. He was eventually killed by Naruto's Rasengan when in the form of Itachi.

	Unnamed Subordinate His name is unknown but he was the subordinate of the puppet master Sasori. He was a replacement used in a shapeshifting jutsu and took on the shape of Kisame as a diversion to hold off Gai, Rock Lee, Tenten, and Neji from entering into Akatsuki's Lair while they extracted the Bijuu out of of Gaara. He was eventually killed by Gai when he was in the form of Kisame.

Akatsuki Accessories

Members of Akatsuki wear rings as well as their respective village headbands
with a line stuck through the village symbol on. In addition to those, they wear
a black cloak with red clouds on it and have their nails painted. The significance of the
painted nails and cloak are
unknown, but it is a belief they are just for fashion. The purpose of the ring
is not 100% clear either, but it seems they use it to extract the trailed
demons (Bijuu) from their host (Jinchuuriki). For the
village headband, it is believed the line threw the village headband signifies a
broken connection between the individual and the village.

The following contents are information about missing-nins that are considered harmful and dangerous. This is a book that every ninja keeps that lists records of these ruthful missing-nins and are considered to be on the "hit-list" if they commit any offensive actions. The book is a reference guide for the ninjas to know about the past and present crimes and illegal activity these highly-ranked criminals committed.

Listed below are missing-nins who have currently betrayed The Hidden Leaf Village
and other allying villages. Many of them are considered to be of "S-Rank" class for their powerful skills. The dangerous ones are the only ones listed in the Bingo Book. Even though Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Shizune are considered to be missing-nins because they departed from
The Hidden Leaf Village, they do not count as being dangerous S-Rank criminal ninjas. They do not have murderous intents, as opposed to Orochimaru and Itachi.

Hidden Leaf Village Missing-Nins

	Orochimaru A ninja who is one of the Legendary Sannins, whom were taught by the Sandaime. He killed many innocent citizens to practice and master forbidden jutsus. His actions were considered illegal in The Hidden Leaf Village, and was dismissed of the Hokage position. He got angry by this and decided to leave The Hidden Leaf Village. He is an S-rank ninja who was once a part of the Akatsuki organization, deadly for their S-rank talents. He formed his own village called the Hidden Sound Village and keeps two other missing-nins from the Hidden Leaf Village as his subordinates - Kabuto Yakushi and Sasuke Uchiha.

	Sasuke Uchiha The younger brother of Itachi and the only other survivor of the clan, he became the top ranking rookie in his class and activated his Sharingan at an early age. He has been burdened with anger and spite for his older brother because he had killed his clan. Orochimaru and his ninjas tempted Sasuke to come to the Sound Village to attain more power and strength so he can kill Itachi. At first Sasuke resisted, but after a brief and unexpected meeting with his brother Itachi who beat him up and came to look for Naruto, Sasuke became angry and wanted more power so he he left the village to join Orochimaru.

	Itachi Uchiha The genius offspring of the prestigious Uchicha clan, he activated his Sharingan at a young age and became ANBU captain at the age of 13-years-old. His thirst for attaining more power and to test his limits of strength led him to massacre his own clan. He is currently a member of the Akatsuki organization. He is considered to be extremely powerful and dangerous and was able to defeat Kakashi Hatake without even lifting his finger. He is ordered by the Akatsuki to capture Naruto Uzumaki for the Kyuubi power that is contained within him.

	Kabuto Yakushi A skilled medical ninja who was taught by his respected foster father. He attended the Chuunin Exams numerous times, only to fail everytime. His actions were suspicious, and was discovered to be a spy for Orochimaru and the Hidden Sound Village.

Hidden Mist Village Missing-Nins

	Zabuza Momochi A murderous nin who is known for being a devilish silent killer. In the past, he killed over 100 shinobis in a final exam to finally become a genin. The Hidden Mist changed their examinations after that. As he grew older, his murderous intent never faded away and plotted to kill the Mizukage. His plan failed and he decided to flee to the Wave Country. He encountered a young boy with a bloodline named Haku. He became Zabuza's apprentice. Zabuza is also part of a group called the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist because of his skills in the utilization of large and unique swords.

	Kisame Hoshigaki Kisame is one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, seven powerful ninja who utilize large and unique swords. Like everyone seen from the Hidden Mist Village, Kisame uses water element jutsu in combination with his powerful physical attacks. Before he left, Kisame was an elite Jounin in the Hidden Mist Village. He began to assassinate the local feudal lords in his village and than eventually left and joined the Akatsuki.

	Kimimaro Kaguya He is the offspring of the Kaguya clan and the soul survivor. Their bloodline consists of bones that can stretch, come out of their body, and use them as sharp weapons. His clan always had a murderous intent, on other people and even themselves. They foolishly massacred each other in their own village, and Kimimaro was the only one spared. Orochimaru observed the power and strength this clan had and decided to take Kimimaro in as his subordinate.

Hidden Mist Village Missing-Nins

Kakuzu Kakuzu seems to be male in the criminal organization known as Akatsuki. His reason for fleeing the Hidden Mist Village is unknown.

Hidden Rock Village Missing-Nins

Deidara A fancy and skillful fighter, with special mouths in the palm of each hand, he is able to manipulate clay into either a flight-capable clay bird that can support him or a a huge bomb that is capable of leveling a village without the use of exploding tags. Deidara's left the Hidden Rock Village and joined Akatsuki. The reason for fleeing in unknown.

Hidden Rain Village Missing-Nins

Hidan Hidan is a religous-type of guy. He usually prays during his missions and takes hours doing so, making sure he has done it right. He is first shown in NARUTO with a large rope attached to a weapon resembling an axe and says that he is the slowest attacker in Akatsuki. His reason for fleeing the Hidden Rain Village is unknown.

Hidden Grass Village Missing-Nins

Zetsu Zetsu left the Hidden Grass Village and joined the organization known as Akatsuki. His intentions are history with his village are currently unknown.

Hidden Sand Village Missing-Nins

Sasori Flashbacks seem to indicate that his descent into darkness started when his parents died. He is a puppet master and controls puppets in combat. Sasori left the Hidden Sand Village twenty years prior to the start of the NARUTO series and joined Akatsuki.

Hi no kuni. Situated in the middle of the five great elemental countries, the Land of Fire boasted a very warm climate, but one that was temperate enough to allow for the growth of large trees. Located on the northern border was Ta no kuni, the Land of Rice. It was on this border that a battle was taking place. In a small canyon, known as the Valley of the End, a river had carved a deep trench. Flanking the waterfall that the river flowed into were two statues- one depicted the Shodai Hokage, and the other bore the image of Uchiha Madara. The two men had fought in this very valley, and now their battle was repeated. Uzumaki Naruto, wrapped in the demonic, red chakra that appeared when he drew on the power of the demon sealed within him, stood on the head of the Shodai's statue, facing his opponent. Uchiha Sasuke, with the large wings, long hair, dark skin, and cross-shaped face marking representing his level two cursed-seal transformation, stood on the head of Madara's statue. Both ninja were too far gone to end the fight, both charging their best attacks. A purple ball of unstable energy hovered in Naruto's palm, while black lightning began to encase Sasuke's fist and right forearm. With respective cries of "Oodama Rasengan!" and "Chidori Nagashi!" the two attacks collided. A large black-and-white ball of energy erupted to life along their hands, and quickly moved to engulf their warring bodies. Naruto, unwilling to kill his best friend, redirected his Rasengan to Sasuke's forehead, carving a gash in his hitai-ate before dispelling the glowing orb. Sasuke, on the other hand, saw his chance to gain the Mangekyou Sharingan. He took it, and plunged his hand into his best friend's chest. The sheer power contained in his hand allowed him to force his fist through Naruto's chest and cleanly out the back, nicking the spine in the process. Then, just for good measure, he ripped his arm out through the side, burning his way through a lung, multiple ribs, and Naruto's left elbow. The arm immediately dropped, and Naruto followed soon after, a look of shock etched on his face. Sasuke merely turned, huffed, and walked north, away from Konoha, his home, forever.

Naruto watched with morbid fascination as the water was slowly stained red by his blood. The pain of the icy water flooding his wounds was nothing compared to the pain of Sasuke's betrayal. He felt the current pick up and knew he was heading to the large waterfall, but he could not bring himself to care; not even the Kyuubi could heal this kind of damage. Hopefully, there would be rocks at the bottom- he would rather break his neck after a two-hundred foot fall than give his former best friend the satisfaction of killing him. However, as he felt his rapidly-weakening body near the edge, his mind was dragged down to the Kyuubi's cage. 

He quickly navigated the sewer-like mindscape, coming to a halt in front of the large gates. 

"What do you want, fox?" 

"A spar," replied the deep, gravelly voice. 

"Why in the HELL do you want to spar!? First off, you're too damn BIG to spar with- I'd get crushed! And second, in case you haven't noticed, that asshole Sasuke just ran his HAND through my fucking CHEST! I'm DYING!" 

"I know that," the fox replied, and I have a way to heal you. But I need to see if you're worthy of it." 

"Fine," Naruto agreed, "how do we do this?" 

"Step inside the bars," the fox answered, retreating into the darkness of the cage. 

"FUCK no! Dying or not, I'm NOT giving you my body!" 

"Listen, do you want to live, or not!?" Was it just Naruto, or was the voice strangely higher-pitched than normal? 

Deciding that he had nothing left to lose (after all, it was hard to survive a two-hundred foot fall, headfirst, even if one was a demon), Naruto squeezed between the bars and walked into the cage, never once questioning why he still had his left arm here. He was quickly confronted by a girl, about his age, maybe a little older, with close-cropped red hair. She was fingerless black gloves (leather, perhaps? Naruto wasn't sure.) and a karate gi, held closed by what looked to be an ordinary belt, instead of one of the traditional, colored ones. The gi's sleeves were removed, revealing fishnet sleeves that came down to her mid-bicep (whether they were part of a shirt or not, Naruto couldn't tell). He also noticed a pair of blue jeans covered her legs, and that she had bare feet. 

"You ready?" She asked tauntingly, dropping into a stance unfamiliar to Naruto. 

"Who are you?" Naruto asked, even as he dropped into his own stance. 

"I'll tell you that later," she returned, "for now, we spar." With that, she launched a vicious kick, aimed right at his temple. 

Naruto caught the offending leg, only to have the girl jump up and try to kick him with the other one. Remembering what his friend Lee had done in the same situation, he leaned back, dodging the kick, while simultaneously dropping her leg and striking at her side with a snap kick. She batted it aside with one hand, aiming an elbow strike for his face. He stopped it, but failed to anticipate her followup- a knee to the stomach. Naruto staggered back, and the girl leaped into a flying kick. Naruto, again taking a page from Lee's book, grabbed her leg, threw her, and kicked her in the back as she passed him. She tucked into a ball as she hit the ground, rolled, and sprang up facing Naruto. She charged him, arm thrown back, prepared to hit him with a right haymaker, when he came up with a plan. He had noticed that her knee strikes were just a touch slower than her elbow strikes; had it been almost anyone else, that detail would have gone unnoticed. However, Naruto had a unique bloodline (1)- his brain processed images at a substantially faster rate than most people. This, combined with the excellent sight his mother gave him, allowed Naruto to spot the only hole in the girl's defense - one she intentionally left, as a test (though he didn't know that). Naruto ran toward her; he evaded her punch, batted away an elbow strike, and prayed that he was fast enough to follow through with his near-suicidal plan. He saw her tense and just barely brought an arm down in time to intercept a rising knee. He felt his left forearm shatter, and brought his right arm up in an attempt to connect rather soundly with her jaw. She dodged, which he had planned for, so he brought a leg up and kicked her hard. His knee and shoulder blocked the view of where he'd kicked her exactly, but he did see her body flying back like a ragdoll. Naruto's victory was short-lived, however. He watched as the girl caught herself in midair, and landed in a crouch, one hand on the ground. Naruto cursed and dropped into a taijutsu stance again. He was surprised, though, as the girl simply stood up, arms hanging loosely at her sides. Suddenly, she laughed. Naruto suspected that it could have been a nice-sounding laugh, had her voice not been so hoarse. Finally, the girl calmed herself enough to speak. 

"A most surprising ninja indeed! I admit that I had expected the uppercut, but that kick caught me by surprise! You'd better be careful, though," she said, massaging her throat with her right hand. "Hit a normal person with a kick like that, and you'll crush their windpipe." 

"Alright, that's it," Naruto exclaimed. "Who are you, why are you in my head, what did you mean by ‘normal people', and where the HELL is the damn fox!?" 

The girl smiled. 

"Very good questions. To answer the first, my name is Tatsuki," she said, her voice strangely back to normal. "As for the others, well, what would you do if I told you that," here, her voice suddenly grew deep. Very deep. Too deep to be a human voice. "I AM the Kyuubi no Kitsune!" 

As nine blood-red tails fanned out from behind her, Naruto started stumbling backward, toward the giant gate he had entered through. He turned, and sprinted for the bars. They loomed ahead of him, telling him to go faster, or the demon at his heels would get him. Naruto reached the gate, and threw himself at it, trying to get between the bars before the giant fox could eat him. A blue field of energy suddenly sprang up around them, and Naruto watched in horror as it got brighter the closer he came. Finally, Naruto came into contact with the strange energy (by this time, it was glowing so brightly that Naruto feared for his vision) and felt as though he had plowed into a brick wall. He crumpled to the floor, and surprise blended with fear and resignation to make (what he thought was to be) his final facial expression. The Kyuubi, in all its foxy glory, slowly padded toward Naruto, before returning to the shape of the girl. She crouched down, nine tails still waving behind her, and asked, "Now that you know you can't escape, will you listen to me?" 

"Hell no! There's NO WAY I'm letting you take over my body!" 

At this, the Kyuubi - Tatsuki - fell to the ground, clutching her sides, trying not to laugh, and failing dismally.

"The hell's so funny, Fox?" Naruto demanded. 

"You are," she returned, after getting her laughter under control. "What makes you think that I WANT your body? Aside from the obvious gender complications, I would go from a soul, which is immortal, to a body that has thirty seconds to live, if that."

Naruto pondered that for a moment, before asking, "Then why'd you call me here?" 

"Simple. You're dying, and I have a way to fix that; I wanted to know if you'd accept." 

"Why are you even offering me this? If I die, don't you just go back to Hell, or wherever you came from?" 

"Yes, I do." 

"Then why are you helping me?" 

"'Cause, frankly kid, I like you. You remind me of myself when I was younger." 

"What are you talking about?" 

"You remind me of me - a headstrong brat with more guts than sense, but with a heart of gold." Tatsuki smirked at Naruto's indignant look, then continued. "And that's why I'm offering you this deal." 

"What kind of deal?" 

"The kind of deal we both can agree to: we both stay alive, I get a little more freedom, and you get more powerful. Who knows - you might even get your left arm back." 

"Hold up, what do you mean, ‘more freedom'? And since I know for a fact that I lost my arm, how do I still have one here?" 

"It's rather simple, really. I will be able to access your senses- it's the closest thing to a new body that I can get without some seriously dark rituals, and I don't do sacrifices. Period. And as for your arm, it doesn't matter that you know you lost it- your mental image of yourself stays the same. That's why amputees complain about phantom limbs." 

"Why doesn't my mental image change?" Naruto asked, still wary of the fox, but curious at the same time. 

"Because changes to the body don't affect the mind," the Kyuubi replied. "It's the original meaning of the phrase ‘mind over matter.'"

"So then, why do Genjutsu work?" 

"Because the body cannot live without a mind to operate it, and Genjutsu kill the mind." 

"So, since my body can't live without my mind, you're telling me that if I die taking this deal, we both die anyway?" 

"That's about right. The seal will make sure that I can't take over before we both die." 

"And if I don't take the deal, I fall two-hundred feet to my death. The choice seems fairly obvious to me, what about you?" 

"Me, too." 

"So, what do I do to go through with this? Remove the seal?" 

"NO!" Tatsuki cried, a look of fear on her face. "If you do that, the chakra backlash will kill both of us!" 

Naruto quickly retracted the arm that was reaching for the small slip of paper holding the gates closed. 

"So then, what do we do?" 

"It's actually rather simple. I turn you into a demon." 

"FUCK NO!" Naruto screamed, jumping to his feet in rage. "There's no way in hell that I'm letting you turn me into a demon! No! Not gonna happen! EVER!" 

"So you'd rather die than protect those people in the village that you care for? Let them fend for themselves, so that you don't have to deal with something you don't understand, and have never tried to?" Tatsuki shot back, obviously angry- not with his refusal of the deal, but for his lack of actual thought; he HAD to stop relying on his instincts in conversations- one day it might even get him [and her, by proxy] killed, and she was NOT going to let that happen. "How do you think that we came into existence?! All of the 'tailed creatures' are like me!" Taking a deep breath, Tatsuki temporarily paused her tirade. "None of us had this chance, you know," she added softly. "We had no choice."

Naruto, his mouth open to continue his tirade, stood in stunned silence for a moment, as the Kyuubi's words sunk in. Did he really want to abandon everybody that he cared for? Would he really make all of the sacrifices - his childhood, Zabuza, Haku, and his friends' injuries from this mission - completely in vain? Did he really want to crush the hopes of those who he knew were praying for him to come home? Especially Sakura? Sakura! How could he forget about her! Yes, she was praying that he would bring Sasuke home, but if he died, who would help her pick up the pieces of her life and keep going? Naruto didn't know if anybody could. He knew she was strong - stronger than many gave her credit for, but nobody could help her with something like this. Without talking to somebody else who had lived it, nothing would ever feel right ever again. He knew that from experience. 

At that moment, Naruto decided. Come Hell or high water, he would help those he cared for- even if it meant becoming the very thing that the villagers hated him for harboring. 

"Alright," Naruto sighed. "Let's get it over with." 

"Excellent!" Tatsuki cried, glad that he had actually used his brain instead of his feelings for once. "It's actually a fairly simple process, but it will hurt. A lot. More than you've ever hurt in your entire life." 

"Anything to protect my friends." 

"Then let's get started." Tatsuki gave him a mournful smile, and then went to work. Eight of her red tails slashed through the air, and ended up hovering a millimeter above the locations of Naruto's eight Celestial Gates. The ninth tail snaked around as well, and came to a stop right over his Base Chakra (2). Naruto began to feel very nervous about the process, when Tatsuki suddenly drove the tails through his skin and bones, and into the major spiritual centers of Naruto's body. Knowing that she only had a small window of opportunity to make this work, she began pumping demonic chakra into his body as fast as she could. Thirty seconds later, and Tatsuki had finished. Naruto lay on the floor, bleeding from nine gaping wounds, and Tatsuki was panting- she had never used that much chakra turning somebody before. She looked around, and saw that the environment appeared to be dissolving, as well as Naruto. As the walls melted, she smiled happily- she had succeeded. Now she only needed to worry about staying in contact with Naruto, the only thing that could keep her from dissolving like the boy's mindscape.

Naruto came to about five feet from the top of the waterfall. He was thankful that the entire process had taken place at the speed of thought, but now was waiting for whatever the fox did to him to kick in. Suddenly, as he fell off the edge, he felt something- shift. It was like he was suddenly just not there. And yet, somehow, he could look down and see himself perfectly. It was all very strange. And then he noticed something else- he was no longer falling! He wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth, and so he decided that he needed to get to high ground far away from the waterfall. Well, the highest ground was on top of the Shodai's statue, so he went there. That was another strange thing- one minute, he was floating by the waterfall, and the next he was on top of the statue! It was all so confusing. And then, suddenly, he felt like he was there again. He looked down, and saw what appeared to be little squares of flesh, the size of confetti, sticking to his body, which was completely red, as if he had been skinned. But that couldn't be right, because he would have felt it, right? Then, Naruto looked down at his left side, hoping against hope that his arm would still be there. But, alas, it wasn't. Instead, he had an arm, but it wasn't his. It was substantially darker than his other skin, almost a caramel color instead of the fairly light tan he had. The muscle on it was stringy but dense, and he could count each and every vein. And then there was the hand- it was slightly bigger than his right hand, and the fingers were a little longer than their counterparts on the right. They also ended in nails that looked more akin to claws than fingernails. (3) After pulling off his tattered shirt to check his other wounds, Naruto noticed that the dark skin ended roughly at his elbow. The dark tan continued up his arm, gradually flowing into the light tan that covered his skin, but the majority of it simply stopped at his elbow, revealing the seam between whatever was left of his human arm, and this new, what he supposed was demonic, appendage. He also noticed that he had a fairly dark stripe of skin on the left side of his chest, right over his heart. He supposed that was the place where Sasuke shoved his hand through, and ripped it out.  

Suddenly, Naruto sensed something. It felt like a familiar chakra, which was weird - Naruto knew that he could not sense chakra before, and he didn't know how he knew the chakra was familiar, let alone friendly. Filing that little tidbit of information away into a quickly growing list that was aptly named "Things to ask the Fox about when I get a chance", Naruto turned to meet the new arrival.

Hatake Kakashi charged through the bushes, praying to whatever deity was listening that he got there before Naruto and Sasuke killed each other. He had felt the chakra spike and seen the black-and-white dome that marked the clash of two powerful techniques and picked up his pace. Then, he felt the second, larger spike, and hurried even more. That chakra felt different - almost demonic. He hoped he could make it in time. 

He neared the valley, broke through the tree line, and saw exactly what he had feared. 

Blood covered the ground, some places had mere splotches, and others had decently-sized puddles. And Naruto stood, alone, on the head of one of the statues. Something about him was different, but at that distance, Kakashi could not tell what.

"Naruto!" He called out, "Where's Sasuke?" 

"I don't know, Sensei," Naruto responded, anger and utter annoyance blending in his voice. "He stabbed me in the chest with that Chidori thing you taught him, and I fell in the water. I guess he ran off to wherever he wanted to go. If it weren't for the fuzzball in my gut, I would have died." 

Kakashi started. Sasuke? Stabbed Naruto with the Chidori? And then ran off to Orochimaru? No! That couldn't be! He would have never - and then Kakashi stopped. He realized something at that moment, something that he should have seen long before. Sasuke was not him. He was not Sasuke. Naruto was not Obito, and Sakura was not Rin. He had been superimposing his old team on his genin squad. Had he not, he would have seen that Sasuke had been slipping, and would have never taught him the Chidori. Unstable people, ninja or no, did not need to know A-ranked assassination techniques. He had high hopes for Sasuke, and had been grooming him to become the next Copy-Nin of Konoha. Had he looked "underneath the underneath", as he once told Naruto, he would have seen that Sasuke did not have the requisite maturity to learn such a devastating jutsu. And, unfortunately, it had nearly cost him the life of one of his students to learn that lesson. Then, as he closed on Naruto to make sure that he had no lasting injuries and to help him home, Kakashi noticed what he thought was different. Naruto's hair was no longer what he had dubbed "radiation blond". Instead, it was more of a strawberry blond. And his ears. His ears were pointed at the top, and reminded him of children's stories featuring elves. The most striking difference though, was the dark stripe of skin on his chest, and the dark skin on his arm. 

"Naruto," he asked, "why is your skin a different color on your arm and chest?"

"Honestly, Kakashi-sensei, I'm not sure. I think I have an idea, but I need to run it by Baa-chan and see if it's even possible before I say anything." 

Kakashi nodded- he'd been in situations like that as well. Giving Naruto a quick once-over and assuring himself that the boy would survive the trip, Kakashi set a brisk pace back to the village.

"And that's what happened, Baa-chan," Naruto concluded. 

The only thing keeping Tsunade from punching Naruto in the side of the head was the fact that he just got back from a near-lethal mission, and the pure shock that his story created. She could understand his reasoning, even if she didn't like it- he was dying, about to fall two-hundred feet, and wanted to keep his friends safe. He really did have nothing to lose. However, learning that he had made a deal with a demon (especially one of the opposite sex- she had used her gender to get information on MANY a mission. Guys were REALLY stupid when they didn't use the head on their shoulders) still made her uncomfortable. 

"So," Tsunade asked, her tone deceptively mild, "you said that the Kyuubi pumped you full of demonic chakra, right?"

"Yes, that's right." 

"So then, does that mean that you are now a demon?" 

Naruto spluttered indignantly for a few moments, before finally letting out a very heartfelt "HELL NO!" Sputtering for a few more moments after the outburst, he finally calmed himself enough to talk. "I talked to the Kyuubi while we were returning to the village," Naruto continued, "and she said that, while I am definitely no longer human, I am not a full demon either. Somewhere in the middle would be our guess, but she said, and I quote: ‘We shouldn't get into fractions- after all, what does it mean to be a half-demon instead of a quarter-demon? Does it mean you are one-quarter better? It's so much easier to just think that you are neither human, nor demon, but a bit of both'." 

Tsunade was stunned for the second time in as many minutes. She knew the Kyuubi was capable of higher-level thought, as was evidenced by its prioritizing of targets when it attacked Konoha, but she would have never thought it could think so abstractly! Then, worried about what that could mean for the future of Konoha, she decided to ask Naruto about the Kyuubi's motivations for attacking. 

"Funny- I asked about that too," Naruto responded. "And she said that she was, quote, ‘young and stupid, and disregarded orders from Inari-sama to avoid human settlements.' Apparently, she was heading for Rai no Kuni, looking for her sparring partner, when she accidentally stepped on the wrong person, and got too near Konoha. We overreacted, and the rest is history." 

"How do you know that the Kyuubi was not lying?" 

"You know the whole ‘demon breaking its word' thing? Apparently, that's true.       (1)- No, you don't need to worry- this bloodline will NOT, under ANY circumstances be some sort of "Deus Ex" doujutsu. Full stop. I based it around the idea that, if the Yondaime were to use the Hiraishin no jutsu, there is a very good chance that he would faceplant into a tree, or even worse, unless his mind could process sensory input faster - specifically, input from the eyes. 

      (2)- I bet some of you are wondering- why the Base Chakra? Well, I'll tell you. It was the only one that I could be sure would not be near another tail. The Crown and Third Eye Chakras are out because Naruto already has two tails going into his brain, he doesn't need a third. The Throat Chakra would take his head off, so that's out, too. As for the other three? I'm not sure of the exact placement of the Eight Gates, so I just sorta guessed, and went for the only Chakra that I know was not near a Gate. 

      (3)- As for Naruto's transformation, I envisioned something like that chapter (or episode, for those of you watching the anime) of Bleach where Don What's-His-Face (Kanoji? Something like that...) rips the chain out of the ghost's chest and the guy just evaporates, and then he reforms on top of the building. I hope I described it well enough, but I probably didn't. And, if you want to know exactly what Naruto's left arm looks like, from the elbow down, replace it with Jack Carver's from FarCry: Instincts, after he goes feral. Same color and everything, minus the tattoo (though he might get one later - I dunno).

La batalla “termina”…

Despues de decir esto, ¿Qué paso en el cap 393? Bueno, en el ultimo capitulo nos mostraron como “Susano” era la técnica supermágicomisticoespecialsecretamilenaria que casualmente tiene el poder de sellar banda… Que casualidad, que Orochimaru estuviera buscando “esa” espada durante la mitad de su maldita vida. Que casualidad, que la tuviera un Uchiha.

Pero bueno, al “sellar” a Orochimaru ya solo quedaba una cosa: Caminar unos cuantos metros y hacer la Kiriyama tech: sacar ojos con los dedos índice y medio. Pero, Susano era una técnica que le pedia a su usuario su propia vida (parecido al summon del 3° Hokage), y esto estaba afectando a Itachi, y Sasuke no duda en atacar…

zOMG!!! Yatta Mirror!!! Otro ítem cultural supermágicomisticoespecialsecretomilenario. Porque no le das el poder de borrar la voluntad de Dios y listo? (Bueno, ese poder ya esta en otro manga xD) Y, cuando ya estaba listo, la mano en la frente… se desploma.

Así acaba una de las peleas más “esperadas” de toda la historia de Naruto (por ahora). Se confirma la teoría “Los Akatsuki mueren cuando no tienen abrigo” y ahora será la “Ley del Abrigo de la muerte” en donde si un Akatsuki esta peleando contra algún personaje principal o que esta en el top 10 de popularidad y este se quita el abrigo: su muerte es 100% segura. No importa que tan patética, mal elaborada o larga sea. Su muerte es segura. Y, Kishimoto nos muestra que Snakemaru aun no muere. Y al parecer, también fue factor para la “muerte” de itachi:

En resumen, Naruto esta de nuevo, en decaída… ¿Esperas que me crea que Itachi se desploma al tocar su sueño, mientras que cuando se “murió” (y que, a pesar de ser corta, al menos tuvo algo de Acción/Taijutsu, y no solo peleas de quien tiene mas chakra/ki a la DBZ)era una maldita ilusión? Despues de darle la ofensiva y defensiva perfecta, se le acaba primero la vida a Itachi que a Sasuke? Aunque bueno, como afirmo Len hace tiempo, Itachi se convirtió en un “Power Hungry Bad Guy”, y eso lo mato. Decir que “se va a tomar su tiempo” sello su destino.

Fuck, necesito una dosis de Zawa Zawa, RON! (no la bebida, aunque si puede acompañar) o GANTZ… es que… para que el “Uchiha clash” terminara así, después de darles background de la manga… hubiera aceptado que los groupies de Sasuke llegaran a salvarlo, hubiera aceptado que hasta Naruto llegara ahí a salvarlo… pero eso… eso fue bajo, eso fue malo. Y lo peor de todo, es de que voy a seguir leyendo Naruto…. Fuckin’ shonen’s….

Look at those beautiful, detailed Sharingan! They looks especially mysterious and intimidating when in darkness. Finally! The appearance of Sasuke in "Naruto Shippuuden"! Now, I find him so much more cooler than before, in terms of both his appearance and attitude, the stylish hair just rocks my socks! Well some may say his attitude sucks because he sounds very cocky when he speaks to Orochimaru, but well, that sort of added on to his personal style, don't you think so?

Why the sudden talk about Sasuke? Well for someone who haven't watch anime for quite some time because of the stupid computer problem, I've finally got the chance to catch up with animes! An wow~ after the draggy battle between Orochimaru and the transformed Naruto, I finally arrived at episode 47! A chance to see what kind of shitty place Orochimaru had been living in, which is what they called his "secret hideout"...

Yup you see the notorious Sai here. A look at Sasuke's eyes caused him to crap his pants...ok you know I'm exaggerating lol! In actual fact, Sasuke's stare (according to Sai) brought out something from his subconscious that he himself don't even recognise, which kinda scared the hell out of Sai. Even Sai himself was impressed! An emotionless person like himself actually had cold sweat! Well in that particular episode, it didn't really show Sasuke performing any genjutsu, all he did was just glare at Sai. The next thing you knew, Sai fell to the ground. This shows how far Sasuke had developed his Sharingan, a cold stare is already capable of making someone like Sai to crap his pants!!

Well, there is one part of the episode which I hate. When Naruto and the gang entered Orochimaru's secret hideout, they had to break a wall in order to get in. Oh gosh, this part made me feel like kicking Naruto in the nuts! He actually tried to use Rasengen in order to break the wall. HELLO~ we're at Orochimaru's secret hideout remember? Is he trying to show off his skills again, or does his brain stopped developing two and a half years ago? Hmm...probably the latter. I bet he really would have executed Rasengan if Sakura hadn't stop him.

I'm pretty surprised when I saw Sasuke's Sharingan still having the same pattern. I half-expected his Sharingan to be like that of Itachi, a Mangekyo Sharingan. Come to think of it, Itachi once said he killed his own best friend in order to obtain the Mangekyo Sharingan. Sasuke said he didn't kill Naruto because he did not want to obtain Mangekyo Sharingan the way his brother told him. Well in my opinion, he probably said in order to hide the fact that he didn't want to kill Naruto. He still cherish the bond between him and Naruto I guess. Anyway, I find it real cool when he says something like "I only have one brother, and all I care about is to kill him..." WOAH! REAL COOL!!!

I'll be expecting the anime to be more and more interesting, but HEY COME ON, don't drag anymore! The fans are getting pretty pissed! Hmm lucky I'm around, I shall help COOL them down by presenting them a COOL picture XD
