I have had troubles in the past few months wondering who is the best character in the game. Well, for those who are wondering, here is my answer: IT DOES NOT MATTER. Yes, this is the correct answer, as every Brawler in the world is different from one another. For example, if you are a person who likes to be fast and have long-range battles, and at the same time inflict damage, I would recommend Pit. However, not everybody fits that criteria. Some people like technique, and Snake could be one of them, as he can set out traps, which sometimes wins battles.

As you can see, I cannot give you the best player, but I can give suggestions. If you are a Brawler who likes brute force, it is an obvious choice that you should pick Ike, Ganondorf, or King Dedede. These characters maybe slow, but they have amazing power, and superb Final Smashes, which can inflict enough damage to win a game. These characters are overall good, but with one lacking attribute, speed. Speed is crucial in this game, but you must understand its weaknesses. For example, ten on Meta Knight's Hits could be one of Ike's hits. So, you have to be smart and observe who you are fighting against, and not always pick one favored character.

Now, I have recently been playing, and I have been called a "cheater" a couple of times. Why you ask? This is the reason. When I play as Pit or Snake, and I get blown off the stage, I can get back up with ease. This is a good plan, for those who are facing brute force, such as Ike, as you have a higher chance of being blown off.

To put long stories to rest, I have come up with a solution to pick a "best" character when you play with your friends. This plan, however, will involve a lot of practicing, as you will need to be fairly good with each player. When you play with your friends, carefully look at the character they are choosing. It is crucial for you to pick your character last. Find out their weaknesses, and attack them, by choosing a character who can attack the weaknesses. This usually works for me, as I pick Ike when my friend chooses Meta Knight. Hopefully, this will help you become a better Brawler, and show everyone who is boss.

First ever post. Piece of history. I've been told to make it good, but i can't promise anything...

Well recently i got the dreaded ring of death on my xbox. This is the first time a console has ever died on me, and isn't pleasant. Luckily, a donation of a GameCube has satisfied my gaming needs more than i can have imagined! With just one game i've forgotten about all the joy of my beloved 360. That game is Super Smash Brothers Melee. This is possibly the most fun i've ever had playing a video game, and also the longest i've ever spent on one game. I've been doing 3 or 4 hour stints of just non stop playing and its been fucking awesome.

Unfortunately though, this means i now badly want a Wii *Insert toilet humor here*. If not only for the next Super Smash Brothers, however this would mean that one game would cost about £220. Not a great return eh?

Other things that have happened recently is the finding of Jeff Gertsmann and Ryan Davis's new blog. If you didn't know Jeff got fired from Gamespot for supposedly giving a bad review of a game. This led to a whole load of other people leaving including another founding member Ryan Davis. Well luckily they are back once again like a renegade master, (Sorry couldn't resist). So they have a new review site called Giantbomb.com. They've also released a few podcasts based quite loosely around video games, as they seem to talk about drinks more than anything. I would highly recommend checking it out if you want to loose yourself in some drinks and game reviews, as well as an hour and a half's worth of comedy gold.

So thats all for now, i have to say that was fucking easy. :D

ok so ur in this stage and u gotta pick kirby or mario. choose one of them and beat the other ones ass. after u beat mario or kirby. some dudes come in and want to fight with ya. Peach and Zelda join the fight. choose mario, kirby, peach, or zelda and kik some ass! after to beat some dudes, mario is blasted away from a cannon(ouch>.<) now u gotta kill a huge plant thing that has captured zelda and peach. save one of them. (i saved zelda shes way powerful!) after u save one of them. the character u didnt save is about to get up from the fight but suddenly Wario comes in and blast one of the princesses to a trophy. the story continues tommarow or somday....

It would be dreamy to have an otaku girlfriend. Cosplays as your favorite female anime characters and does that pose that you always wanted.

Shows you her love when she's away by beating the hell out of you on Super Smash Bros. Brawl online.

You can share manga and anime without worrying that there will be noodles all over them when you get them back, but instead the smell of your girl's perfume and a lipstick kiss.

You can let her buy you shoujo manga to save you the embarrassment.

You can let her buy you female figures, you baka hentai.

Making a yaoi scene in an anime convention where she's Sasuke and you're Naruto and you just do it without feeling disgusted, but instead it will look so real, too real.

You can finally have someone to express your yaoi feelings to about how cute Gaara looks, though that might make your otaku girlfriend break up with you and give you one hell of a Sakura punch, shannaro!

Gunpei Yokoi died in 1997, he was the master mind behind Nintendo's success and the creator of it's best games. In 1980 he designed Game & Watch, a handheld electronic game. The design of the Nintendo DS which was created in 2004 is based on a 1982 Game & Watch handheld game.

Mr.Game & Watch from 1980 appears in the 2008 game on the Wii in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

As you well know, Super Smash Bros Brawl is out and boy is it the creme of the crop. Seriously.  Why must I torture myself so much sometimes...

Anyways, yesterday.  What a good day.  I was out of it for most of the time (Fridays are bad days for me: im always really tired and hungry after school... and with this new crap about no meat on fridays? Grr.  It's just not good.)... but it was still a nice filler day in between the awesomeness of Valentine's Day and Turnabout.  I got to hang with Connor which was sweet, cuz him and I don't see each other outside of school too much.  And then of course, I figured it was implied, but Harriet was with me as well.  We adopted Connor.  And got to kiss for the first (real) time since last Saturday.  And we swapped sweatshirts.  Now everyone calls her Mort.

Yes, the Smash tourney was yesterday.  It was gay cuz I suck, but it was fun because those kids are awesome.  I met a guy named Joe who turned down an opportunity to work on Bioshock for $10 an hour, a guy named Mig who loves white people, a kid named Ramon who has badass shoes, a kid named Judd who thinks the NFL is linked to the NCAA, a kid named Allen who has a really successful band, a kid named Chris whose gamer tag is Mort, a kid named Jay who has a lucky tri-force shirt, a kid named Connor who is a cheap-ass bastard with Ganondorf, a girl named Hatz who gives head with a white-capped Luigi, a guy named Tim who wanted to leave early... with all the money, and plenty of other colorful characters.

Moment of the night goes to my grand idea of going to Chipotle and getting a veggie burrito.
No one can even deny it.  So I guess that makes up for my lack of charisma.  I also possess Beautiful Katamari and the Mulan Soundtrack.  So where my personality lacked last night, other things picked up the slack for me. 

Oh, and my run into Dominick's was actually crazy fun when looking back on it. 

Oh my.  Today is Turnabout.
Excitement, she wrote.

I showed up at Judd's around 4:00 and was greeted by him and Allen.  Allen bought me a rice cooker for Christmas!  What a champ!  That's totaly sometihng I would love too, lol.  I can't wait to make rice like... hm, all the time??  We just kinda hung out, playing super smash for a bit, then went downstairs into the basement and jammed for a while.  That was good times seeing as we came up with some hot beats and had not just jammed in a bajillion years. 

Tim, Chris, Pat, and Paul showed up around 6, and that's when things just skyrocketed.  All the banter between us was so funny.  While we practiced, it was great watching Paul and Pat interact in the corner.  Seeing Paul sing vocals into the microphone and play bass and keyboards was downright hysterical.  During our first break Allen, Judd, and I went upstairs while the rest stayed in the basement and that's when I took my chance to learn RIDE ON SHOOTING STAR BY THE PILLOWS.  When band practice commenced again, we played through Little Busters, Ride On Shooting Star, I Think I Can, and Come Down.  That made me smile so big and made this one of the greatest band practices of all time.  That's also when we began playing Girl So Far Away with me on guitar and tim on bass.  Which is when we got to hear Tim sing in the lowest octave possible, hahahahahaha.  You just had to be there to understand... hahaha.  I've never seen aanything funnier. 
Then Judd busted out his OCARINA!!! 
We then took Chris and Tim to the train station.  Here's how it was in the car: Allen driving, Pat in front, then Paul, Tim, and Judd in the backseat, and Chris and I stuffed in the trunk.  It was so uncomfortable but so awesome.  I ripped ass in the back ona ccident (had chipotle for dinner, leave me alone), and I'd never seen Chris and I laugh so much together. 
When I was about to leave, Judd was like "give hatti a kiss for me."  "Yeah, me too," says Allen.  Then Paul and Pat ask for me to do the same as well.  So now I owe Harriet four different kisses from four other guys... and I've also gotta do my share. 

Speaking of Harriet (I've got to break that habit of using "speaking of" to start things...), today I gave her another Pillows album, a story I wrotes, and Rhythm of Life by Matthew Kelly.  I don't know where I wanna go with this... because I'm not in the mood to explain the significance of each... but I was very happy to give her those items, we'll leave it at that.  Friday she's coming over after school and we're watching Lost In Translation.  I'm now anticipating Friday like a mofo and am looking forward to nothing else.  I feel bad that I'll be abandoning her at school for the X-mas assembly, it's such a fun day at school and I'm not even spending it with her... but I really can't risk anything happening to this toe during recovery.  Even John for that matter is trying to get out early because he doesn't want to spend the assembly without me.

I'm learning a lot of Japanese slowly but surely.  I learned how to say "Let's party", but already forgot. DAMN.  But I did learn "Awesome", tonight, which is sweet. 

Haha, I was also reminded, "Hey Mort, can we read the texts Hatti sends you?"  "Can I read what Hatti should be sending you?"  "Sure."  "Mort.  I want your hot bod."

I do say, for some weird reason (it's actually not a weird reason, I'll expand on that in a second), all the guys in Appa are so supportive of me and Harriet.  And I love that.  And yeah, it's not a weird reason... because they love me.  And that's what you do when you love someone, you support them in all that they do.  I love being able to talk about Harriet with the guys.  I talked about Danielle with Judd and Allen a lot... but that was always because we had such problems.  And I needed them as rocks to hold myself up on.  But with Harriet, I can tell them about how incredibly things are going.  And really, that's all I'll ever have to tell them about... because there's no way things could go wrong between us.  I've never encountered someone like her where there's genuinely no tension.  Today I prayed to God, "Please... don't let me blinded in this relationship.  Let me see things clear.  I'm done being a fool."  And after I prayed, I thought about it hard... have I been ignoring the problems between us just because of all the good?  And no.  This is the real deal.  I've finally, finally, finally found someone whom I'm my complete self with and no problems exist in the world we're making for ourselves.  This is the most genuine relationship of my life and it's no doubt the greatest.  I didn't need to say that prayer because I am seeing things clear.  There's not a better adjective to describe the way things are with us than "Perfect."  At least that's how I feel at this point.  And if one can't call what we have perfect, then shiiiet... I'd love to see what "perfect" between us means.

But okay, damn, I gotta get some sleep.  I went from 6AM to 9AM nonstop without stopping.  I'ma be deads tomorrow.

I personally love the new features, new stages, new items, and new characters added to the game and the cut scenes are hilarious, but I can't accept the gameplay speed change. They made the gameplay slower, the wave dashing is gone (even though that was originally not intended in melee either it was discovered "GLITCH") and a couple of the BEST characters from Melee have been nerfed. Here are 2 of my favorite characters and what I've seen nerfed SO FAR.

• Cpt Falcon: His electric knee attack does not do as much damage nor does it have as much of an impact, and his reaction time is not as fast.
• Fox: major strength nerfs in the jumping up smash attack, and also his up special attack.

Well this is open for discussion and for flaming but please if you have not played Super Smash Brothers Melee AND Brawl then do not post any comments. How do you guys feel about brawl? O yea and one last thing DO NOT even think about using the online feature..... Lag much?
